In remembrance of Earth Day today, we took nature-themed photos using the Rule of Thirds in art. In science, we watched a video about the implications of global warming in the arctic, and discussed about the significance of arctic exploration for Canada.
1.) MATH: If you haven't already done so, complete your rectangle/square 'AREA' assignment for tomorrow. If you have any questions, post them here.
2.) SCIENCE: Based on the video we watched in class today, write one paragraph for each of the following questions. Make sure to explain in your own words any technical vocabulary (eg. fiber optic cable). Post your response here. The questions are: a) How has Canada contributed to arctic exploration? b) What are the consequences of the melting ice in the arctic? (environmental, international, cultural, economical, etc.)
3.) WRITE A RESPONSE: All of you have been working on self-assessments and giving effective feedback to your peers since September. Be sure to take the feedback you have received and put it to good use. Make your edits and revisions and reply to your original posts with all of the necessary changes.
