2019 Student Learning Survey

4/16/2019

Today, students completed a learning survey with Mrs. Samiei. It was a good opportunity for teachers/schools to gain input into the learning of the students. Grade 6 students continued working on their second picture books for the Novel Approach. Later, Mr. Collins turned some students into human integer chips to teach them how to subtract positive/negative integers. It was an incredibly engaging example of how to complete this task. If you haven't yet done so, check out the integer resources that were posted yesterday. In the afternoon, the students continued learning about belief systems and participated in small group discussions.

Tell us a story about your day using the following words:

Make the story focused and clear. Make sure that it is not random. It should have a beginning, middle and end, just like your day.
The reader should be able to tell that you know the meaning of the words just from reading it.
Provide feedback to your peers (givens: punctuation, spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc.), and make changes to your own story based on the feedback you recieve.

I just realized that the person who pushed me at that vantage area was opulent and filched my stuff. As I trundled away everyone that was audible laughed at me. I grimaced. Suddenly, I noticed the person who robbed me, imperceptible, amounts the people conveying some stuff to a truck. I panicked and called the cops.

There was once a homeless person named "Jeff". He never knew how to manage his money, therefore, making him poor even after he got money from benevolent poeple. He thinks its magic that all his money just disaearsbut it is truly himself and how he is hopeless managing his money. One day Jeff woke up in his sleeping bag on the side of the street. He was very hungry so he trundled around the block asking for money so he can buy a meal at McDonald's. Fortunately, he met an opulent person who was kind enough to donate $100. Jeff said" Wow! I'm prosperous now! Surely I can buy a house and sell tacos in it. On the same day, he went to McDonald and bought 5 big mac meals. When he found a good spot to sleep at night, he set his sleeping bag down and started sleeping. He had a really ominous dream that was regarding donkeys. He dreamed of being wealthy by selling tacos that were produced by the donkeys. sometimes, they were even made of gold. He dreamed of conveying the tacos around the world, but he wasn't himself, he was a person called Ansley. When he woke up he found someone staring at him. A boy, he has a few dollars in his hands. When the boy started running, he realized that he was filched. He grimaced, he screamed, and he started punching things. The boy's footsteps were barely audible now. The boy made himself imperceptible by putting hood over himself. A few months later, he picked up a new paper that had teh title of, "Boy becomes a multimillionaire by selling tacos. When he read more, it sad that teh boy's name was "Ansley". What made him mad was the picture. The eyes of the boy looked like the boy who robbed him. THE END

@ Kevin - Great job! I liked your story a lot, though there can be a few improvements made. First, you have a lot of missing commas (e.g. “one day,”, “named, ‘Jeff’”, etc.) Also, remember to read over your work for some capitalization and quotation errors. Apart from that, I think your P.A.R. is excellent!

From a bird’s VANTAGE point you can see many things, an example of that is my parent’s car. (Hehe, I’m talking about the bird on top of my car. Not an actual one.) I walk into school, after glancing back at that odd bird, and right into class. There, I notice a few children have quite OPULENT shoes. It might rain today, so I give an AUDIBLE chuckle. With a GRIMACE, I TRUNDLE into my seat with a stack of homework and get set to start the day. Fast forwards about six hours (add +6, wow!) and I am walking out of school. CONVEYING my backpack off my back and onto the bench I walk around to stretch out. Now, I am somewhat, okay, very bad at FILCHING but still, I might find it somewhat humorous. So I sneak up behind a student from Mr. Fisher’s class and swipe her water bottle. It was perfect and IMPERCEPTIBLE, except for the fact that she turned around... Oops.

Susan is an opulent person in her town. ‘Ding, ding!’ the door bell rang, for conveying stuff to Susan. By the time when Susan is sleeping in her own dream, she couldn’t hear the doorbell, it was literally imperceptible to her. Suddenly, she saw a guy is doing a weird grimace in her dream. That scares her that when she woke up, she trundled slowly, she looked out on her huge vantage. Boxes were just have been left out of the door since no one respond the doorbell when she was sleeping tight.

She was so scared that she was afraid if someone could just filch when she was sleeping. She was so mad of why was the guy that lazy, just left the boxes out of the door, and why didn’t he telephone her. She decided to make a complaint of the transportation company. She turned on the mike to make it become audible. She kept on complaining and, reporting the company. Perhaps, rich people always do that?

I remembered the teachers telling us that we're going to have a field trip in Riyadh to a milk and cheese factory. My classmates' faces showed /grimaces/ and some told me that the thought of watching workers drain milk from cows was /filching/ the joy they had for the trip. The very next day, we were in the field trip bus and the teacher's voice taking our attendance was /audible/ to us after the engine stopped roaring. Before the bus started moving, I found a /vantage/ at the back of the bus where I can watch my excited and tired classmates have conversations as the bus /trundles/ down to Almarai factory. After we arrived, it was least expected that we would be walking on /opulent/ farm floors. Many workers were /conveying/ the milk from one station to another. We roamed around and took photos after watching our classmate vomit on the stained ground. I somewhat expected the least from this field trip, but the fun I possibly had was /imperceptible/.

Joe is an opulent man with a house with a very good vantage point of the street that he lives on. One day Joe was robbed this is what he told the police a man sunk up behind me and hit me in the back I grimaced as he laughed barely audible. I looked up in time to see two men conveying my many TVs in to the back of a van. The one of the men filched as he doped and shattered the biggest diamond that I owned on my marble floor then the men jumped in to their van and speed off. The police immediately arrested Joe for impersonating a robbery. Joe trundled in to the police car. How did the police know that Joe faked the robbery?

Today is the day. Finally, we had our first science fair. RING RING! The first bell has gone. I go to the gym to set up my station. Looking at my peer's projects made me lose confidence. Kara was stationed right next to me. Kara was the best student in the class, her project on electricity made my project on earthquakes look bad. I waved to her and she had a grimace on her face. She turned around and starting talking to mr.woods, our teacher. The conversation was perfectly audible, even if she didn't want it to be. I decided to go to the water fountain, on my way out, I saw Kara filch from mr.woods. Mr.woods was very opulent, so he probably wouldn't see a few dollars missing from his wallet. I didn't say anything this time. After the science fair, mr.woods was conveying the projector back to the classroom. I saw Kara closely watching and something seemed suspicious. I went to the bleachers to get a vantage of kara. She imperceptibly snuck into Mr. woods jacket and stole some more money. As soon as mr.woods trundled back into the gym, I immediately told him. He seemed surprised but he was also forgiving. Kara gave the money back and had a warning. I went home that day feeling good. I felt like a superhero in one of those movies. It was late so I went straight to bed and had a good night sleep.

Ring, ring! The school bell rings.

As usual , Tom and Jack went to their secret place, this secret place is no like a secret place, it’s just a fancy washroom that no one use it anymore, in the washroom, ( or should I say secret place) there’s a lot of girl’s stuff that are missing from there class. Why is those stuff in here? Because they think stealing stuff from girl is very interesting, they want to use the stuff that they filch to make a big huge plane, if they think the plane is ugly, they will secretly conveying the stuff back to all the girls from their class.

Tom and Jack did their secret code which is making a grimace to each other, they first eat some snack and then started to work at their plane, their talking is absolutely not audible, because if the girls from their class, hear it, they are doomed.

Finally, after seven months, their plan finally........... failed, even though they are sad but they still think it’s fun. Tomorrow at the school day, they will come earlier give those stuff back imperceptibly. They also learned something during the seven months, they learned that stealing others stuff is not good, we suppose to use our own stuff to make a plane, other wise, it will not succeed.

As usual, Tom and Jack went to their now secret place, well, it’s not very secret, it’s just a fancy washroom that no one use it any more. Tom and Jack did their secret code which is make each other a grimace, and then, they went inside. In the washroom, or should I say secret place! There’s a big whole under it, in the whole, it has all the stuff that is missing form Tom and Jack class, it is all girls stuff, they filch all these stuff just because they want to build a huge plane. Every day after school, they come here and work at their plan, the plan is absolutely not audible because if the people from their class hear it, they are doomed. They decided that if they didn’t succeed, they will give back all the stuff back to class.

After 2 months, they finally finished, but the plane is really ugly, so I think they………Failed. Of Course they are sad and mad, but they still have to give back the stuff that are missing back to class. The day after today, they received their promised, they come earlier to school and they imperceptibly conveying back the stuff to each person’s desk.

During this experiences, Tom and Jack learned that we should never steal stuff from others, it’s not respectful and it’s not right, also, you will have some vantage at that time, but at the end, you will never succeed.

My alarm rang warning me that I was late for school. Half awake, I stumble of of my bed, and I trundled to the bathroom to freshen up. I wolf down my breakfast, and I hastily yank the first thing in my clothes drawer to wear. Before I left for school, my mom gave me a barely audible goodbye, then I ran out of the house. As I walked to school, I showed a grimace face realizing that we have science today, we happen to be learning about kinetic energy, which happens to be very boring in my eyes (not really please teach me fiziks). The path to my school leads up a large hill, giving me a vantage point of the small town I live in. I had managed to enter the class 10 seconds after the bell had rang, and yet I was still told of by my teacher. Once school had ended, I walked home with friends through a different route, as I gazed at the opulent lawns of the tremendously large mansions, my friend had jokingly been filching me for my phone, as I conveyed my anger, we were stopped by the red light. As we waited for the light to turn green, I started to feel dizzy and everything became imperceptible. I later woke up on my bed, I was told I fainted from heatstroke, and my friends had carried me back to my home. I felt happy to have caring friends, before I could think another word I had dozed off to sleep ready to start a new day.

I grimaced as a fresh blast of icy wind hit me full force in the face. It stung a lot, and I was temporarily blinded by the sudden bombardment or harmless snowflakes. My ears were turning pink with cold, and I was shivering uncontrollably. Waiting for a train never seemed so bad.

I had a good vantage point of the tracks from the Manhattan-bound train platform of Queensborough Plaza, and I had been waiting for fifteen minutes already in this deplorable weather. Finally, the clickety-clack sound of the train was audible over the roar of the wind off in the distance. Soon, the majestic 10 car R188 Broadway Express train trundled into the station. It stopped with a shriek of brakes, and the passengers it was carrying disembarked. An opulent magnate boarded the train and sat down next to me. Suddenly, I felt disconcerted and looking to my left, I saw a low-down bastardly criminal causing trouble with his shenanigans. He filched the magnate's fat wallet and slipped it into his leather jacket, also probably stolen. The thief, however, was not imperceptible. I had seen the whole thing.

"Stop, you scumbag!" I shouted. "Get your filthy self back here this instant, you cheesehead!" The criminal was jostling his way through the crowd of confused passengers. Just then, the doors began to close. "Ding Ding Ding! This is a Manhattan-bound N Express train to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard. Please stand clear of the closing doors."

The crook dashed outside just before the doors slammed shut. The train pulled away from the station, leaving the criminal free with his big haul and the opulent magnate in a fury.

The magnate called in the FBI and the SWAT, and they immediately converged on the fleeing thug. Crash! Bang! Wallop! Flying sticks and truncheons beat down on the pesky nusiance as the law officers punished him. The criminal was handcuffed and tied together in a straightjacket. The powerful magnate recieved his wallet back, and the criminal was sentenced to 10 years in jail.

One of my friends had the weirdest experience while going on a flight to another country. First of all, her flight was late at night and she had to hurry to the airport as her flight was and hour away. While getting there, my friend tripped and fell, but she just grimaced and kept going. Once she got there, the airport said that all of the flights were delayed until they were able to catch a thief that had been filching people's bags all day.

A full two hours later (most of which was wasted returning items back to their owners), My friend finally got onto the plane conveying her to Australia. However, the wait was worth it because once she was in the sky, she noticed that she was sitting in one of the best vantage points. This friend would've liked to sit in one of the more opulent seats, but that wasn't possible.
A few hours later, the flight attendant spoke on the PA but not a lot of people heard it as the voice was barely audible and nearly imperceptible. This message was then repeated 2...3...4...5...6 times until everybody had heard it. Once she finally got off the plane, my friend sleepily trundled off to her already-booked hotel room and promptly fell asleep.

The airport parking lot was pretty full so she had to park farther away than she would've liked. While getting there, my friend tripped and fell, but she just grimaced and kept going. This flight was genuinely important as this would be the first time in three years she would be seeing her relatives. Once she got there, the airport said that all of the flights were delayed until they were able to catch a thief that had been filching people's bags all day. My friend sighed and thought about how she should have walked and been careful not to trip instead of getting to the airport way to early for nothing.

There was a lock down, many policemen, and one young man in a leather jacket crossing his arms while being dragged to a police car. It was quite peculiar and amusing for my friend to see the man acting so childish. A full two hours later (most of which was wasted returning items back to their owners), My friend finally got onto the plane conveying her to Australia. However, the wait was worth it because once she was in the sky, she noticed that she was sitting in one of the best vantage points. A bunch of pictures were taken, decent food was eaten and the trip was generally okay. This friend would've liked to sit in one of the more opulent seats, but it wasn't possible anyways.

She sleepily trundled off to the house she would be staying in and was greeted by bright lights in her face. However, my friend waved off the relatives and instead went into the guest bedroom, promptly falling asleep.

I woke up really late and I trundled over to the window to look outside. I had a very vantage of outside from my window so I saw everything on my street. What I saw was something I hoped that would never happen to anyone. As I looked outside of my window, I saw the blind man from my neighborhood walking down the street. He was conveying many small boxes on a cart, filled with things that he was going to donate.

Everything happened so quickly I didn’t really have much time to process it all in my head. As the old man was halfway across the street, a man came sprinting down the street and bumped into him. The man started yelling at the old man and their voices were audible enough for my neighbor across the street notice the commotion. Everyone knew that the old man was very opulent but never thought someone would flich. The man not knowing we were watching, imperceptibly snatched the blind man's wallet hanging around his neck and ran off. My eyes met with my neighbor and she had a grimace look on her face. We tried to run after the man but he was nowhere in sight. The blind man’s wallet was thrown on the side of the street and luckily, nothing was taken.

I looked at the clock to realize that I woke up later than usual because I forgot to set my alarm yesterday. Consequently, I rushed out of bed to clean myself up. I trundled downstairs quickly and made a quick breakfast for myself. After that, I quickly packed my backpack and filched a piece of gum before heading to school. On my way, I saw an opulent-looking house. It had a very modern and simple design with a lot of with a lot of windows scattered around the exterior. The inside of it was imperceptible and impossible to see. I had a vantage where I could only see a few parts of the house. Realizing that I was getting distracted, I walked away and continued to school, conveying a very heavy backpack (stuffed with homework) and my precious ukulele on my side.

Chimes, Chimes my alarm woke up me! I trundle over to my window to the check the vantage landscape. Out of my window, I see a marching band of high school students conveying audible message about volunteering to plant more trees. Across the street, I saw an opulent man giving the students a grimace look because he is not kind and greedy. He just got robbed a few days ago by imperceptible young men who filch rich people.

Beep beep beeeeep! “ uhg that is annoy as thealem clock ring I wake up. As usual I make a grimace and gumb about why should school be open on a time where it is Imperceptible. Then, I go to washroom brush my teeth and humm a little song. But I soon stop because someone is listen which remind me of that the washroom is Audible. Later, I went down to eat breakfast which was very opulent, A cup of milk, fruit and french toast. 10 or 15 minutes later I go back to my bed trundle a bit. Later I went back down and prepare my backpack. Finally I Conveying/Filching the candy into my backpack. On my way here I am so lucky I saw a Vantage. What a busy morning.

During this weekend, I and my friend are going on a shopping trip. It’s going to be super exciting for us because we’re getting a vantage tickets of 50% discount on everything we brought today. Without further ado, let’s get into this wonderful one day trip. At first, my friend gave me this address where it’s located at one of the cafeterias at 41th street. Although I’ve never been there before, I can tell it’s a great cafeteria from opulent appearance. As soon as I walked into this cafeteria, I heard a resonant, audible voice calling my name. This made me flinched a little because everyone hears that voice calling me, it was nearly imperceptible, it must be her! *I peep around, searching for my friend.* Finally, there she is with a weird grimace. As I get seated, one of the waiters passed by with a variety of sweets put on a large shelf. I asked what are these, and she replied to me that’s how they conveying all the sweets to each visitor. They put all the sweets on a special large size shelf and trundled it through every victor’s table. I asked my friend for some advice on sweets and I order 3 pieces of macaroons. I’d say they are all pretty delicious. Afterward, we went to the mall for another period of shopping and that’s about it.

Once there lived a princess. She was known for her always grimace face. People always stayed away from her, but she wanted to be audible so everyone could know she’s opulent. She loved to show off her skills to her mom and dad. One day when the princess wasn’t getting what she wanted, she filiched on a store. When she was leaving the store, she trundled a long and got the attention of some police officers. “Hey! Why are you running!” Yells the tall man. She continues to run until she hits the airport. She was imperceptible, so she continued to run. She made it into the airport, and somehow onto a conveyor belt! She rid on it for awhile until she got to a vantage point. She looked out the window and missed home. Finally she snapped out of it and flew to Canada. The end :D

One day when I was camping at a town near Banff, I saw a somewhat military-like vehicle or machine that was conveying a huge box or container, and it just trundling across the woods and the sound was so fainting but I was still able to see and hear the vehicle, but to most people it was probably not audible nor visible. Then when I got a good amount of height I was able to see everything this was THE Vantage point, and then my face and body felt weird, because I had just heard a pair of footsteps behind me, I grimaced to only find that was group of police officers who happened to pass by and the wanted to get me away from here, and so I did, but something wasn't right the cops had their eyes on the container the majority of the time, I think they are going to filch the container or whatever is inside of it. Then I saw someone pull out gold from the box and they said that was a pure gold creator and I am guessing this is for all the opulent people on earth and so the war for that keeps on going for years (5) until it is destroyed.

One day men were working on conveying different construction material. while they went for lunch break two men started filching the shipping container, when the workers came back from lunch their faces were covered in grimace. one of the workers called out "there is a camera here", which meant they can catch the men that material.

They went to the office of the port and asked "can we see the camera pottage because the container was robbed", "yes you may" said the front desk. The camera as at the perfect vantage point and it was even audible, but the problem was that two men slightly covered them with their trundles. It made it imperceptible to see one mans face but the others were seen. 7 days after we found that 5 men became opulent for creating a business selling construction material, and we knew that as our target. We found their address and took them down

Hello everyone. I’m Sam and I have a neighbour. He’s a brilliant scientist who for some reason, always had a grimace expression on his face that came with a sad personality. His name was Joel. “He’s an absolute miserable mess”, I said to my roomate. “There was one time I remember catching a kid filching from his garden, taking all the flowers. I informed Joe about it and he called the darn police as if there was robber in his house! Who would want those flowers anyways?” I said.

Four months later

*knock knock knock* Joel, it’s Sam. Open up. The door opened with a small but audible creak. I glanced behind him into his house and from my vantage point, it looked pretty normal so I didn’t think much of it. He “welcomed” me in with a sad sounding “Hello, come in...” As I stepped in, I heard a slight trundle from upstairs. “I need some help on a project I’m working on, do you have some time?” Joel asked. Reluctantly, I said sure. As I followed him upstairs, I realized the entire house got more... opulent? Everything started looking newer and more futuristic! “Here” Joel said. “You’re pretty tall kid. Would you please go grab that wrench on the top shelf and convey it to that table for me? Great help. Thanks.” I looked around to see the glorious little robots he’d created as I grabbed the wrench. The robot in front of me moved its arm. In an almost imperceptible way. Now I knew why Joel was always so sad. He’s overworked! I should come by more often to help him. This place is amazing!

My brother makes the stuff I'm or listening not audible. Audible (hearable)
