IMPORTANT:
1.) CHURCHILL - Mr. Hong will submit all report cards for the high school registration forms. However, any mini-school applications that require report cards will need to be submitted separately by students.
LEARNING:
1.) READING: 30 minutes and complete your reading log. This is a daily activity that should be completed even if it isn't posted here.
2.) SCIENCE: Quiz on electricity and magnetism on Wednesday.
3.) MATH: Quiz on Friday on Decimals.
4.) POST A RESPONSE:
- Today, you many of you were able to create a motor out of your solenoids and supplied materials.
- In paragraph format, explain the science behind it. You must use the vocabulary provided.
LEARNING INTENTION: I can explain the science behind an electromagnetic motor.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format (intro, body, and conclusion)
2.) Must include the following vocabulary in your paragraph: electricity, electromagnet, closed circuit, conductor, battery, repel/push, attract/pull, magnet, opposite poles, like poles, and any other scientific language you can think of from this unit.
3.) Must explain the science behind this activity.
4.) Check to make sure you have included all the above scientific words.
5.) Complete a self-assessment of the above criteria and edit/revise as needed.
