LI: I can create a Pablo Picasso inspired self-portrait

Today, students worked hard during math and learned about decimals and place value. In addition to this, they built on their addition and subtraction skills. Tomorrow, students will continue working through their multiplication and division questions. In Health and Physical Education, students learned about healthy living and also played four corner soccer! Please do your best to bring donations for the Terry Fox run. Let's be the class that collects the most! It all goes towards a wonderful charity!

1.) Read everything posted on our class webpage and follow the POST A RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

2.) MATH:

Watch this video while you complete your homework. Remember, you can pause the video to slow it down or watch it a few times to deepen your understanding of how to complete the multiplication questions.
Complete pg 1-5 of math booklets.

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

Think of an animal you are really interested in.
'RESEARCH' information about this animal by finding 2 reliable websites according to the CRAAP TEST.
Post 3 interesting facts about your animal that you have verified with at least 3 separate sources!
Post the 3 interesting facts and then post the 3 reliable websites you found underneath your 3 facts (same post).
Give 1 other student constructive feedback on their comment.
Reply to any feedback you receive by REVISING your original post.
Reread the instructions and check to see you have completed it properly.

the japan flying squids are a interesting animal I've been looking at in a while. It a squid but it can fly and the first ever video of it posted was in 2013

The flying fish is a amazing species and interesting one as well.
Its stumped me the flying fish and flying squid can do these types of things.

Yes they do fly but it more like a glide.

They are also called neon flying squid which is confusing.
Now here are some things from the Craap test.
The government and Wikipedia claim they are real.
The first ever video of them posted on YouTube was on 2013.
The websites are constantly getting updated while new information for the japan flying squid is found.
I am really amazed and stumped how the laws of physics and the earth allow this.

Great White Sharks
The address is .org Wikipedia because a lot of people use it and it is trustworthy when it comes to facts.
First: Sharks can only swim in 1 direction and cant make tight turns like Reinheart from a game charging.
Second: Have you ever wondered how a shark swims up to 50k per hour?! Well it has to do with its grills and nose. The nose sucks in water and pumps it out though it's grills allowing it to go at such speed.
Third: Some species of shark are a living fossil like the Frilled shark

1st of all Wikipedia says most cats are kept as pets which is true because I got a cat and Wikipedia is a good website to trust
Secondly There is a website called kitty wigs that make wigs for your cat which is just funny 3rdly the best toy for a cat is...............

Panda's!

My animal is a hart. Both of the websites name are Wikipedia and they were updated on September 12 2016
and other one was updated on August 19 2016. The URL is .org for both. Hart are called stag which means deer. They called stag hart in the medieval times and the older harts are called white hart. Sorry I only found two websites the other websites looked fake.

Snakes:
Facts: 1. Snakes Don't make a sound when they slither around the wild or in cages, if they see a stick the will move past it
2. Snakes can stretch there skin to hold LARGE prey like Mice, rats, bunnies, other snakes etc.
3. most snakes are reptiles because they lay eggs, but there's snakes that are mammals because there babies don't come in eggs, they come like us!

A Myth about snakes: People are said that a snake can eat an Elephant, WOW THATS BIG HUH??! But snakes cant even eat the head of one. the videos online are fake if you see a snake online with a huge belly, it probably would of been something else. Snakes cant eat that much of food it would rather make them slit or make them die instantly.

I really like Pomsky a half Pomeranian and half husky dog breed.
One of the websites I found was pomskywiki.com.
They were last updated in 2015.
It is relevant for me and for some of the class because u could learn more about them and find how cute and unique they are.
I can tell the website is reliable because the url is .com.
It is accurate because it tells you everything from the height and all the information u might need.
The purpose of Pomsky.com is if you are looking for a dog for already have one and need to know if it is sick the best food recommendations
or how to take care of it and so on I think it is meant to help clueless
Pomsky owners.
Actually my brother and his girlfriend got a dog around last year and every time they feel something is wrong they use google to search it up.
Website two is petguide.com this one was updated I think in 2013.
Like the first on it is relevant for some people because not all people are dog people.
It is real because it is also has .com as the url.
Just like the other one it is very accurate it tell u many types of Pomsky ranging from colours to sizes to life then life spand.
And it has the same purpose as the other site.

{ Gray Wolf!! }

( 1 ) The gray wolf also know as { canis lupus } survived many years ago that species even survived trough the ice age.

( 2 ) Gray wolves have several subspecies like the Tundra wolf and the Arctic wolf ect.

( 3 ) Hunting Style

Every gray wolf has a job just like humans since they work in packs just like a family they get there food quicker just like I said they have a job one wolf smells and tracks there prey the others start to lead the way .When they find there prey sometimes/usually the prey runs away but that's a bad Idea if they run the wolfs chase after them until they get them but if there prey takes a hold of there ground showing them they won't run the wolves intimidate there prey until they run.

( 4 ) Diet

Grey wolves are Carnivores they eat deer,elk,caribou,moose and smaller animals the usually eat larger animals P.S they eat birds too

( 5 ) usually when the wolves howl they call there pack to discuss territory boundaries.

Axolotls

Firstly:Axolotls are a small type of fish that can only be found mexico.Normally you would find them in lakes and canals.If you find a white axolotl they would be wild but normally axolotls are greenish brown or black. White axolotls are called "leucistic".

Secondly: They only eat small fish,worms,insects,and anything small things that can fit they're mouth.In labs they feed axolotls brine shrimp,California black worms,salmon pellets.
Thirdly:In 2010 wild axolotls were ALMOST EXTINCT !!Because of urbanization and consequent water pollution in mexico city.
They're also suffering from habitat loss and pollution.
there were about 600 wild axolotls documented in 1998,but today people are lucky to even find one axolotl.
