Friday: Community Building

The different activities and field trips we participate in contribute to building community within our classroom, with the other Gr. 6/7 classes, the entire school, and the entire world. Being a productive and contributing member of a community is part of being a good citizen. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have such a responsible group of students! The citizenship you have been showing has been amazing! Keep up the good work!

1.) MATH 6 - Refer to yesterday's planner message to see what you have to do. Gr. 6 students, make sure you follow the instructions carefully. If you have any questions, post them here.
MATH 7 - Quiz on Monday.

2.) SOCIALS 6/7 - Complete all questions that were assigned in class (Hurricane Sandy news article from the handout). Remember, be sure to write in full and complete sentences. If you feel like typing your answers out, feel free to do so.

3.) WRITE A RESPONSE: Return to yesterday's blog assignment and continue asking questions and responding to questions that have been posted. You are free to respond to any questions that have been posted. The challenge has been extended over the weekend to see how many quality questions/responses you can post! You will find out on Monday if the entire class has met the 'BLOGGING B.R.G.R.R.R.' challenge!

In my opinion, I think that it took 1 - 1.5! Why? Well, it's VERY, VERY hard to have that type of precision. Everything was perfect, nobody was off timing. It was just amazing. I especially liked when they came together and walked through each other perfectly.

In my opinion, I think that it took 7 months - 1.5 years! Why? Well, it's VERY, VERY hard to have that type of precision. Everything was perfect, nobody was off timing. It was just amazing. I especially liked when they came together and walked through each other perfectly. In my experience, to get that type of precision it took my dance group 5 months to get it. But that is only for 13 people and it went for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. However, since the Japanese went for 8 minutes and plenty of more people, it should have taken a lot longer.

@Mr hong, on the socials part of the homework I did not get that paper because I was not there on Thursday and went straight home on Friday same with math

I think that it took 8-12 months because to get all the right steps and to the places you need to go to it will be really hard.

I think that it would have taken them about1-3 months but practicing it for two hours 3-4 days a week
I have done something like that but a little bit easier and it took me 2 months to learn it then another 2 weeks to get the timing done

I think it probably took them almost a year, because they have very strict rules in Japan. It is really really perfect and on time, so it has to take at least 6/7 months at least.

@Mr.Hong, I was at the play practice when the class was writing the answers and questions for the socials pipelines and Hurricane paper. I couldn't get any of it done. Do I still have to finish all of it today?

I think it would have taken them al least a year and two at the most. I think so because first that had to get all those people and practice and practice to get it abseloutely perfect. I liked the part were they walked through each other, it was awesome

In my opinion that would have taken them 1-2 years maybe more that was very very well done, i thought it would take that long because to take all those people and get them to do that very well. one of my favourite parts was when they all came together and walked through each other perfectly.

I think that it probably took them a couple of years because they walked perfectly straight and sometimes they walked side ways and so on but that was very amazing. To base my prediction I thought about how long t was and how precise they were and my sister was once in a dance routine and it took her a long time to prefect something that is so small for example when you were a baby it takes you a while to prefect how to walk, jump, throw, kick and so on.

I think that this took almost a year. The hand pattern and the feet beat.
It would've probably been really hard to do. At the least, maybe about 7 months.

In my opinion I think that it took at least a year because every step they take its perfect like when they walked in to each other it was amazing it must of token awhile because I bet it had to be perfect!

I think that it probably took months of training to get the perfect sequence and to collaborate well with each other. I found it amazing the way they were so determined and organized.

It seems like they have practices for months and weeks to master this routeen. They were also so orginized in that short video clip

Well I think that that type of precision is amazing and it probably took maybe a year or two to perfect with many days of practice.

I think they practised for about a year because its so good they know what there doing. Sometimes they would walk on the side but it is so amazing! I loved it:)

I think the entire year they were there, I think that was the end of year performance for their school and they had to work all after school to learn hot to do that, It is very VERY hard to get it synced like that and years of experience.
