Friday: Multiplication Tables

Today, the students reinforced their multiplication abilities by working through a multiplication table and then working on some practice questions that Mr. Richardson provided. They found it quite useful to be able to see the quotients visually by lining up the numbers in each of their equations.

1.) MATH: Complete the backside of yesterday's worksheet.

2.) LANGUAGE ARTS: Complete both blue handouts (Reading Strategies/Literary Elements)

3.) WRITE A RESPONSE:

If you could choose any job that requires mathematical skills, which job would it be and why?
Provide examples and details to support your answer.
Read the directions carefully.

I would want to be a cheer coach because I love cheerleading so much an I would love to coach little kids to learn how to tumble ( back handsprings, back walkovers, front walkovers.) I think there is a bit of mathematical skills in cheerleading because the counts are usually: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 and do that all over again. I would teach little kids and older kids. Ages: 2-18 years old.

I would be a scientist because I like discovering and learning I can't wait until I can do biology it looks cool and I have watched some shows on national geographic did you know that theirs a liquid in waters and river near milking farms are contaminated and can give you a tumor. They also have this particul in water that changes make frogs into female frogs and that takes 1.0 per billion the government said in are tap water we can have 30 of it and that's why the Us changed its Law because 9 baby's were born contaminated

Because if I have a job as an engineer. I will have to measure how long a steel beam should be and how big a building should be. So I choose engineer because you always will have to do mathematical in the work.
