#TellThemNow - Happy Father's Day

Today, we started the day off by brainstorming ideas of things to say in our #TellThemNow father's day video that was created by a Vancouver based advertising company. The students watched the #TellThemNow video and an international father's day commercial. The students came up with awesome ideas, special moments that they have shared with their fathers, and reasons why they love them so much. Happy Father's Day!

1.) LA: Read for the pure joy of reading.

2.) FIELD TRIP: Grade 7 students will be going to Playland on Monday. Be sure to bring your hats, sunscreen, lunch, etc on Monday.

3.) NEWS: AZBO'S APP - Opticode will be releasing a new app in the near future. Click here to visit his website and to see more information on it.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

Something I really like about my dad is that we see eye to eye. For example he understands my dislikes towards school. He is speacil to me because he gave me life.

Something I love about my dad? Thats to hard! There is so many things I love about my dad. I have these great memories of him taking my sister and I took White Rock at this little ice cream place, We would all order some Ice cream and then sit down and see how many different colour cars there were. Another great memories is always going to the video store and picking out movies and special treats snd then we would go home and watch bunch of movies. One thing he still does to this day is something we all cal, "Stupid Dad Jokes." He makes these comments that are so stupid it makes us all laugh. The odd time they are funny. I have so many things that I love about my dad and those were just a few. There are many reasons why my dad is so special to me. One thing is that he is always there whenever I need help. Whether its with homework or if I am going through a tough time he is always right by my sad. He also pushes me to do well so I can succeed in the future. And that may not be useful now but when I get older it will be. I have so many things to say about my dad. I love him with all my heart and I hope he has a great Father's Day!

@Pebbles my dad also has those, "Stupid dad jokes" that makes me laugh. That was so sweet at the end when you said that you love your dad with all your heart! But,which ice-cream place do you go to in White Rock? there are so many there!

@Pebbles, that was one great and a meaningful video on beauty. It was also inspiring since, even though you don't think your beautiful you are to others, and of course to yourself. Don't look at others on how they look like because, you will always be a unique and a beautiful person like them.

Something that I really love about my dad is that I know he would do about anything for me. I almost feel guilty because I'm spoiled. He pays my phone bill, he supports me, he takes me where I want to go(most of the time), and he gives me money.(only when I give him a massage) He also makes me, my mom, and my sister and me laugh every time we need to. My mom did tell me that when she told my dad about having another kid he was upset, but then he put up with it. But, he wanted a boy. Then again, I'm okay I know he loves me and I love him too. In fact if I wasn't in his life he would be living in a tragedy.

He is so special to me because I know he'll always be there for me when I need something. If it's something I broke, something I did, if I need help studying, or if I need the company to play video games and watch T.V.

Something that I really love about my dad is we both love to play video games. We always love to play this one really old game called ghouls n ghosts, it was for the old sega genisis

He is special to me because when i'm in a tough spot he is there to help me through it.

@Tacosaur what kind of tough spot does your dad help you through? Does he help you with your homework? Also, one of the reasons I liked your response is because I can connect with it. I also play video games with my dad. at least i used to.

@ Rainbow Unicorn for an example of a tough spot say if I did bad on my last test he would teach me what I didn't know about that test.
My dad is the one who helps my if a P.A.R is really long

Something that I really love about my dad is how he teaches me new things. For example he teaches me some mathamatics that I have never learned about yet. Another thing is a few years ago a remember how when he does woodwork I would come with hime down to his workshop and watch and learn from him. One of the most valueable thing I learned from him is to put quality it your work and how to fix things. I remember my dad would put lots of quality in his work and he would allways fix things when it is not working. We gave him the nickname the "fixer" and now I fix my own technology similar to what he does.

One thing special about my dad is he is getting me prepared for the many challenges in life yet to come. He teaches me how to make the most with what I have and to be thankful.

I love my dad because of all the things he does to make the house better and makes us live. I also thank him for how hard he works and how he cares for my family!

I think my dad is special because of all the qualities we have in common. I have at least 10 things in common with him and one of them is being funny. I also thank him for getting us our family member Ozzy my yellow lab dog, because he was meant to be with us!

Why would I want to share something awesome about my dad when he 's already awesome in general? Anyways, what I think I love the best that comes out of him is his belief and trust. Like I said he always gives out Rocky Balboa quotes (From the movie ROCKY) always telling me or my family to never give up. Whenever he thinks we could never go on anymore, he would just say, "You know, you're standing in your own way. So if I were you, I'd try to keep pushing ahead of myself and get into the game." or something like that. But most of his, "Rocky Balboa" quotes are almost all the same. But still, they always encourage you to keep going.

My dad is just super special to me no matter what comes ahead in the world. I may get a cool looking rock that is super special since it can grant my magical wishes, or a huge golden helicopter for my birthday, but those don't matter! My dad is still special to me just as special as my entire family no matter what. He'd always try his best to support me or catch my back whenever I needed assistance. But the sad thing is, it's almost like never now that I get to see him since he works most of the times as a nurse. But I won't forget him no matter what.

I really love my dad because he always cares about me. He always do anything that will make me and my family happy. He always supports me, trusts me, makes funny jokes, and take me to the places where I want to go. He always says that he loves me.
He is special to me because He is always there for me. If I need help my dad always help me even though he is really tired.

I love my dad becaus ehe makes me and everyone around him laugh and smile when he cracks a joke or something he did at work. My dad is special because he played sports for 18+ years and give the greatest advise to you when you feel down when you lose and some things to improve on when you win. The sports my dad played were soccer, field lecross and box lecross and servived a masive amount of concusions.

My dad is always happy and always ready to help someone. I love him for that. He supports the family with his job, he can be there when I need him, he will be there to throw a ball with my brothers. He is probably tired by the end of each day, but to us, its worth it.

Why I said that was because some kids don't have dads and they feel bad in Father's Day because they hear all the kids talking about their dads and the child has not even seen he/her's dad.

I love my dad because he always supports me when I'm at my sporting events and always talks with me about the game. My dad is special because he is funny an he loves me. He always makes the funniest jokes. Also I know we don't tell each other often, but I know we love each other.

@Everyone, guess what! Canada won 1-0 against Switzerland! Which means that they are going to the quarter finals! Go Canada! In Fact, Belanger scored in 52 minutes!

Why do I love my dad? Well, firstly I love him so much because, he's always there with us by spending quality time helping, playing, and inspiring all of us. In Fact, my dad supports all of us no matter when or where. For example, when I have soccer games in Delta, Kelowna, or Langley, hes always there for me to support me by being there for me so that I could feel positive. I also, love my dad because, he belives in me that I could be a soccer plyer in the future by, training me, helping me get better at soccer, and inspiring me. Secondly, why is he so special to me? Well, obviously, he is special because, hes always there for all of us, he supports us, and he helps us with many things. Above all, thats why my dad is special. Why is your dad special to you?
