I think that the Magic Wand tool selects an area based on its color. The tolerance changes how it reacts to the difference between the color you chose and the colors around it. A higher tolerance level allows a bigger difference in color to be selected. I don't know if that made complete sense but I hope that you understood it.

@ Sherlock - I understood exactly what you were talking about when you referenced the tolerance settings.

The wand tool lets you highlight an area of the same colour, and you can move that area around. In addition to that, you can only colour inside the shape that's highlighted. If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, just play around with it on an experiment picture.

The magic wand tool allows you to highlight a certain area. After you do that, you can take the paint bucket and pour paint in that area and it will not leak outside the area you highlighted.

The " Magic Wand " tool allows you to choose a certain part of your picture and color it without it going anywhere else.

@ Everyone - Can you figure out what the tolerance setting on the magic wand tool does? Sherlock mentioned it above but you should probably play around with it to see the power it gives you!

The magic wand tool allows you to do many things within a certain area of your picture. Using the magic wand tool you can highlight an area of your image by clicking on the area (a dashed line moves around the highlighted area). Inside the highlighted area you can fill with paint (using paint bucket) or draw/colour (pencil tool). Or you can use the eraser tool, so you only erase the things you want to.

The magic wand lets you highlight a certain area on your picture, so you can colour it in and it won't go on to other parts of the picture. :)

I think the magic wand tool outlines the shape of your image, and whatever colour you would like to outline it with, you can select. Its good for those who are very low on patience because it saves a lot of time. (:

The magic wand tool allows you to out line the area you choose. You can do many things in that area such as, change the brightness and the definition as well as the color. It makes coloring much easier because you just select the area and use the paint bucket to color it in
