Happy Mother's Day!

You all worked really hard this week on many different things. You pushed your learning in:
- Novel Approach Book Club conversations
- You learned how to enhance your perspective photos and your pencil to pixel assignments by using digital tools
- You created 3D perspective Mother's Day Cards
- You used science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.) to build your mousetrap cars.
- You started planning your sport's day cheers!
- You were deeply involved in our discussions about belief systems and spirituality!
WOW! That sure was a lot of learning that happened this week! I'm tired just typing it! ;-)

1.) ART:

The majority of you have uploaded your Pencil to Pixel collages to the Google Drive folder. If you haven't, you must do this over the weekend.
Also, upload your pencil image, fine-lined image, and any collage drafts to your FreshGrade.
Please also update your ABC PHOTO COLLAGE on FreshGrade or you will receive an incomplete.

2.) POST A RESPONSE:

We discussed belief systems and spirituality this week.
In paragraph form, write about what you think the differences are between the two.
Feel free to provide examples to support your opinions using your background knowledge.
You must respond to two other responses by asking them questions about their responses.
Edit/revise for the givens.

You have probably heard about spirituality and belief systems but do you know the difference between the two? Well it's simple. Spirituality is a state of being connected to God, nature and each other. Now people meditate, do yoga or similar practices. A belief system is a set of mutually supportive belief. So basically spirituality represents the path of a person's faith and belief systems is a set of mutually supportive beliefs.

Yesterday we learned about spirituality and religion. The first thing Learned is that they are NOT the same. Wow, mind blown. Now are you curious about how they are different? Of course you are. Now let me tell you the difference. If some one is spiritual that means that this specific person believes in something. However if you are religious that means a group of people believe in something, like Christianity. Now you see the difference? Great! Now just remember some people can be both spiritual and religious.

Spirituality and belief systems are different because belief systems are what you believe in. Like, if you believe in God or whatever. And spirituality is like being connected with nature and things. Unless I'm wrong.

Belief systems are what you believe in. Religions like Buhda and Christians are some examples. Spirituality is about connection between humans and nature.

Belief systems and spirituality are quite similar but there's a difference. What's the difference? Well, belief systems are what you believe in. There's many religions people believe in, such as, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or Buddhism. And they all have a god they worship at a church or a temple. However, spirituality is when you're connected by your human spirit or soul.

I think I got it all wrong... All well.

I'm not really sure what the difference between spirituality and beliefs are, so I'll just use the little bit I know. I guess a belief system, or a religion is when someone believes in a supernatural form of some sort. Spirituality, on the other hand, is more about one's soul, or being concerned about one's spirit. They don't necessarily have to worship any superhuman.

When we talk about belief systems and spirituality, they might seem the same. But they’re a bit more different than you think. Belief systems are when a person believes that a god is real and they have a place for worship. Sprituality is when a person feels connected spiritually to someone or something. A person can believe in both.

Whats actually is the difference between belief systems and spirituality? They are different. Belief systems is what you believe in. Believe is a verb which is simply used for accepting the truth, belief is a noun which is generally used for acceptance or confidence in truth, faith or trust. Don't get these two mixed up! Now, how about spirituality? Well, it is when human are concerned about the spirit or soul. A spiritual person cares about people, animals and the planet.
To be honest I'm not 100% sure about this but okay..

What is the difference between spirituality and religon? Well, let's start with spirituality. It's a very broad term, especially because it is completely different is if you are both religious and spiritual. To me, spirituality means being a part of what's around you, opening your mind to possibilities like lifting a veil from over your face. Seeing how increadible it is that we are alive, that things exsist, and at the same time not being able to comprehend the things in life we thought were so simple or took for granted.
Then there's religion. Usually religious people have traditions or a place of worship, but even if they don't, they still may be religious. The baisis of belife is some kind of higher power or being, certain belifes about things like right and wrong, in most cases a set of rules.
So the two are closely related. In most cases if you're one you're the other, but as we know, that doesn't always apply. Just because Vanilla and French Vanilla are both Vanilla doesn't mean they are the same thing. They can be served sepretly.

Although belief systems and spirituality are very similar, they do have some differences. What are the differences? Well, spirituality doesn’t need a place of worship, higher being, or a group of people who believe in the same thing. On the other hand, belief systems need a group of people, a place of worship, and belief in a higher being like a god. In spirituality, it is a lot more nonspecific. You could take nature walks, clear your mind, or meditate. In belief systems, you usually have a set of rules to follow, a gathering place, and a kind of prayer. Overall, I think that belief systems and spirituality are similar, however there are differences.

You may think that belief systems and spirituality are the same things. They are similar, but not the same thing. Spirituality is about connecting to nature and finding peace. Another thing it's about is clearing your mind. To do this, a lot of people do yoga. I do yoga sometimes and find it quite relaxing (sorry for the random connection). A belief system is when you worship something like a god. You usually go to a place of worship like a temple or a church.

Some people might think that being spiritual and religious is the same thing. But in the past few days, we have learned that being spiritual is very different from being religious. When someone is spiritual, they don't necessarily have to believe in a god. Some people are not religious at all but still live a spiritual life. The meaning of being spiritual is to connect your mind, body and soul and unite them as one. It is about having a connection to every being in this life and having a sense of connection to something greater than ourselves. People can find a sense of spirituality by meditating or doing yoga. It lets someone concentrate and clear their head, giving them time to think or connect themselves to nature and such. While living a religious life is to go to a place of worship, follow a moral code and believe in a higher power(believe in a god). Being religious means that you are apart of a group of people that believe and study the same beliefs as you do. Although these two practices are very different, I also believe that they have some similarities. One would be that both are connected to finding a meaning in life. By being religious you find a purpose of serving a higher power and with being spiritual, you find purpose in knowing that you are part of something greater and finding your place in the world. Another similarity would be that no one could force you to be religious nor spiritual. Both are not something that someone could force on to you, they are something that you yourself have to believe in or it would make no sense to be actively practicing it. That is some of the differences and similarities to being spiritual and religious.

Belief systems and spirituality might seem like they are the same, but they’re actually quite different. Spirituality means that you care about your soul/spirit, and you don’t require something to worship. Meanwhile, if you’re in a belief system it typically means you are a part of a group, and worship someone or something. Both are very closely linked, but just because you are one doesn’t mean you have to be the other.

Belief system or religion may seem like a similar thing but surprisingly, they aren't. Belief system is a community of people that share the same beliefs and may believe in certain rules, opinions and/or believe in a higher power. Spirituality is a more by yourself. Being spiritual is usually when someone wants to calm them selves, find meaning in life and etc. They are related but you be either one of them or even both of them.

On Friday, we talked about belief systems and spirituality. Do you know the difference between these two. Maybe you think that they are quite similar but it actually are different, let me explain to you what it means. Belief systems is something that you believe in like God or Christianity or more. What spirituality mean is that they will focused on their faith. They will also try to make connections maybe like prayers or doing yoga like we talked about on Friday. The difference is that spirituality, they will do some different activities like yoga to connect to their beliefs systems. Belief systems, is just like they believe in different Gods but not activities like yoga.

Spirituality and belief systems. A lot of people get confused with the two. Some people think it's the same thing, but they are pretty different. Spirituality is where someone doesn't believe in a god or any superior being. They are more into spiritual things, like meditation and thinking more about their/ the world's purpose. So basically thinking more outside of the box. Belief systems are pretty different. People that are in a belief systems are usually religious. That means they believe in a god or any superior beings. People who are religious usually have a place of worship or a place to meet. Unlike people who are spiritual. I'm pretty sure they don't have a place of worship. Although these two subjects are different, we should always include everyone. Even people with different beliefs.

"What is the difference between Spirituality and Belief Systems?" some people ask. So I'm hear to answer that question. The differences are: Spirituality isn't believing in one god/higher being, however it's setting a path for yourself being more concerned for the humans spirit over money, and any other materialistic item. On the other hand there is Belief Systems. And belief systems are groups of people who believe in the same time/the same god/higher being, and they go to a place of worship i.e a church, and a temple. In the grand scheme of things, they're similar but they have these differences so they can be told apart because they're two different things after all.

We learned about different belief systems in class on Friday. There is a big but small difference in spirituality and belief. The difference is if you believe you usually praise or worship a god and attend a temple, church, ect. If you are spiritual you don't have to but you can. Usually you just feel spiritually connected to somewhere, something, or someone. Believing in a god and being spiritual are different and the same in my opinion. Many people are both.
