For ADST, students have learned the basics of coding. They have been working through the code.org lessons and have been learning that coding takes a great deal of critical thinking and problem solving skills. In addition to this, they have been learning that collaboration also plays a role in being able to successfully program to complete a given task. Our Div 1 and 2 students participated in a global movement known as the 'HOUR OF CODE'. Along with millions of students across the globe, they participated with them this past week.

1.) MATH:

Compete any incomplete work.
Pg. 65-66 #1-9
Pg. 69 #1-9

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

If you didn't complete the 'ESSAY IDEAS' post a response from yesterday, go back and complete it.
This weekend, I would like you to do the following:

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) We have been working on generating ideas in writing. For the PAR, I want you come up with
  part of your outline for your essays.
2.) Copy and paste your post from yesterday. (Essay topic and 3 body paragraph ideas).
3.) Under each of your 3 body paragraph ideas from yesterday, list out in point form, 3 supporting details you will talk about in each of your body paragraphs. Supporting details can be
examples, details, quotes from famous people, statistics/research, etc.

EXAMPLE:
ESSAY TOPIC: SPORTS
BODY PARAGRAPH 1 - Basketball

    BODY PARAGRAPH 2 - Golf
- Driving

BODY PARAGRAPH 3 - Volleyball

3.) PAR POLICE: Give feedback based on the format/criteria above and be sure there ideas are on
topic.
4.) Edit/revise based on a self-assessment or feedback from the PAR POLICE!
5.) Create a new GOOGLE DOC and copy and paste your outline from today's PAR into it. Title it,
  essay #1 (YOUR NAME) and share this with [email protected]. Make sure you give me
  access to 'COMMENT and/or EDIT' your essay.
