
IMPORTANT:
1.) Grade 6 students Vaccinations: Tomorrow at 9:30am in the library.
LEARNING PLANNER:
1.) READING:
- Read for 20 minutes and make sure you log it on your log sheet.
- Don't forget to have your parents initial it.
2.) ART:
- Collect and bring things for your collage (photos, pictures, drawings, magazines, etc)
3.) INQUIRY/SOCIAL STUDIES:
- Complete at least 5 questions you are curious about researching (handout).
- DUE WEDNESDAY.
4.) POST A RESPONSE:
- We have been creating action criteria charts (C-CHARTS) for various actions/behaviours since school started. Creating expectations and rules for our class is very important.
- LEARNING INTENTIONS: I can explain the importance of C-Charts.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format (intro/body/conclusion)
2.) INTRO - Make your first sentence exciting and engaging for your audience.
3.) BODY - include at least 2 reasons why C-Charts / Action Criteria charts are important for us to create and follow.
4.) GIVENS: Check your work for spelling, capitals, sentence structure, grammar, and spelling.
5.) PEER FEEDBACK: Read and give at least one person 2 things they can do to improve their paragraphs. For example, let them know if they need to correct their spelling, or if they didn't include an engaging hook, etc.
6.) REVISION: Reply to the feedback you receive and edit/revise your paragraph. if nobody gives you feedback, do a self-assessment with the criteria above and post your 'revised' paragraph.
