Ecosystems observations

This week was a great week with division 2. They created their own rules and expectations for our class and took them home to read over with their parents. Both parents and students signed these contracts to acknowledge they understand what is expected of them when they are in class. So far, every single student has been following everything on this list. I am happy to see a group of very self-regulated students. I am looking forward to helping you learn this year. One area we will be working on is your social emotional learning. We have already discussed the zones of regulation and will be doing an art project with these in the coming weeks.
1.) FORMS:

FreshGrade forms
Field Trip form (Ecosystem). Please purchase a compass card for the field trip.
Rules and Expectations
Gymnastics and Skating

2.) MATH:

Complete any unfinished work. Complete the worksheet you received on Friday.
Here are some review videos in case you need some extra help.
Feel free to post questions here if you have any.
Math test on Tuesday.

3.) WORD WORK:

Complete your definitions and example sentences
Quiz on Tuesday.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

Create a paragraph using at least 5 of your words from your word list.
You must have a minimum of 7 sentences.
Your paragraph should include an introduction, supporting sentences, and a conclusion.
Give one student a suggestion/feedback on their paragraph. Let them know if they didn't include an introduction, supporting sentences, or a conclusion.
Edit/revise your original post by replying to your original post and responding to feedback or your own self-assessment.

@ May - Suggestion: Don't forget to use the shift button to capitalize the first word in all of your sentences. Also, don't forget about your punctuation. For example, you need periods at the ends of your sentences.

There was this one night I had an intimate friend over for dinner, named Emily. My mom had some aperitif before starting dinner, but me and Emily already started eating by then. Plate by plate we all had a lot food and we were definitely not empty stomached anymore.
After dinner Emily and I decided to go up to the attic, which was really dank. We wanted to look around and I found a valise. We decided to open it in my room, the attic was too dank and dark. The valise was something I had rarely seen, small, and not big enough to fit 5 pieces of clothing. It was light too, I wondered why my parents would have this in the house even. Emily wanted to open it, curiosity filled her face, you could tell by just looking at her. I scrutinized it before finally opening it. We opened it, there was nothing but a note. It said "IT LEERS AT YOU EVEN IF YOU CAN'T SEE IT". Emily and I were definitely freaked out, there was nothing really suspicious in the valise so we threw both the note and valise in the trash. Emily and I wanted fresh air so we decided to go for a walk, my mom was sleeping downstairs so we maneuvered down the stairs and out the door.
There was a enormously big dark figure at the front of my gate, I couldn't make out who it was but I was freaking out. Emily started to scream and we ran. That was all I could remember until I blanked out.
Since Mr. Hong decided to scare us I TRIED to make something scary. And it's more than 1 paragraph. Hope it's ok to do that.

One dark gloomy day, my intimate friend came over, named Bob. My dad drank an aperitif before he started dinner.That night, it was pouring rain outside. All we had were dim spooky chandeliers hanging from our ceiling. Then we decided to play a game. We played hide and seek. My friends and I all did Iniminiminimo. I was chosen to be the seeker. I leered at everyone since I hated being it for hide and seek. I gave them 30 seconds to hide. They maneuvered really well that I couldn't even hear a single footstep. I had a scheme. I will go down to the dank basement, open the valise in the basement, take out special night vision glasses, and look for them. We all loved playing hide and seek in the dark. I scrutinized the master bedroom.. No one was there.. I looked everywhere around my house.. Didn't hear a single thing. It felt like I was the only one in there...

So i am not sure if you guys have heard this story before, but what ever.
One day at school, a teacher planed a scheme for his students.
He asked everyone to sit so he can show the kids a video. (wonder what that video is. *cough cough* )
One of the students said to another " Hes acting very suspicious right now, plus today is Friday the 13th."
As the student leered at the teacher, he maneuvered to the side as he put the video onto the smart board.
As the students watched closely at the video,they almost died because it was very spooky.
Afterwards the students where ferocious with the teacher and some even showed there parents the video as well.
sound familiar?

I watched the video again and I still got scared.
Why does this happen???
Also, this is my paragraph.

I entered the dark and dank house.
It was dark and suspicious.
I had started to wonder if my friend had put me in this scheme of hers.
It wasn't anything new.
We were intimate and were the best of friends for years.
She puts pranks on me everyday.
But she had stopped coming to school and texting me after her last call.
"I'm at the haunted mansion to prove everyone wrong!"
"Okay, good luck!" I said as I chuckled and she ended the call.

It has been 3 days since that happened.

I walked even deeper into the enormous mansion.
The sounds of the wood creaking underneath me was loud.
I stopped.
There was another pair of feet walking towards me.
Closer, and closer each second.
I looked behind me.
Nothing but broken glass from the old panes that the kids in the neighborhood had thrown rocks at.
I heard something shatter.
The vase that had been on my left hand side had been maneuvered.
All but a small shard on top of a small valise.
I picked the shard up.
"Open me."
I obeyed.
But I didn't want to.
I was controlled.
I unlocked the valise just by touching it.
It opened automatically.
A bright light was unleashed.
I squinted my eyes as it blinded me.
"Stephanie!!!"
And I was enveloped by the bright force field.
The force field closed against me.
Hundreds of voices flooded me.
"Help!"
"I'm stuck!"
"Anyone there?"

The last voice shocked me.

"I'm swag! Join me!"

A beam had been shot on my heart.

I didn't feel any pain.

And I was gone.

How was it? :3 I don't even know why I enjoyed that :3 Plz give feedback :3

(I didn't bring wordwork home with me so I read a lot of the other amazing stories here and I got 7 words.)

GATHER AROUND AS I TELL A SPOOKY STORY!!
During a stormy night, a girl named Ella and her intimate friend Jason were planning a scheme to pass time. All of a sudden, they hear a knock at the door. Though it seemed suspicious, Jason decided to open the door. Nothing. Ella was enormously scared while Jason scrutinized the outdoors. Jason told Ella that he would be back right away, 2 hours already passed. She wanted to go look for him, but she decided it was too dangerous to go out. Her final decision was to call the police. Before she could press call, she heard a deep voice say her name. It was beginning to become louder and more clearer, like it was coming closer. Ella felt paralyzed, All she could do was look around and wait... Ella had on a leer to hide the fact that she was scared to death. Everything stopped completely as she felt awake.

TURNS OUT SHE WAS DREAMING THE WHOLE TIME!!! GUESS SHE FELL ASLEEP WATCHING STEVEN UNIVERSE!!

A long time ago in a dank basement there lived a cat. He was a normal cat with black fur and green eyes. He hunted mice and rats. It was a normal day for the cat- go hunting, take a nap in the sun, observe humans. When the cat went home that eventide it heard footsteps. Of course the cat bounded through the cellar thinking it was a rat or a mouse, but when the cat caught up with the footsteps it didn't see anything. The cat skidded to a stop and looked around. Hmm. Is it just my imagination or is there a giant silhouette staring at me. The cat wondered. The so called silhouette looked up whilst the cat gnarled at it trying to scare it away. But when the cat saw the silhouette’s glowing eyes staring into its soul the cat came to the conclusion that it should flee. So that’s exactly what the cat did. But that was only the first of many weird things that kept happening. At one point the old valise fell over. Weeks later the cat grew tired of running away and decided to get rid of the silhouette once it for all. When the silhouette appeared that evening he charged straight at it snarling ferociously. The silhouette was so surprised that it didn’t move in time and was shredded by the cat’s sharp claws revealing a fat rat under the scraps of cloth. To this day the cat does not know how it was fooled by the scheming rat for so long.

One stormy night, my intimate friends Grace and Lily decided to have a sleepover slumber party since it was my birthday. We went to the basement to grab a board game. It was really dank and dirty down there. When we were coming back upstairs we heard this screeching noise and saw a silhouette. We were really suspicious so we scrutinized the whole basement. We didn't see anything except this valise with a note inside saying, " There is someone in the house." We then started getting really scared cause we were the only ones home. Then we decided to call the police when we saw another note that read, "Don't even try!!!" Then we went back upstairs and started yelling outside, " HELP! THERE'S SOMEONE IN MY HOUSE!!!!" Maybe someone had called the police. Then after a few minutes we heard sirens. The police had arrived and they saw us gnarled against the wall shivering in fear. They searched the whole house, found nothing but another note saying, " I WAS THIS CLOSE!!!!!!!!!"

I sent them a leer from the top of the gnarled oak. I new it was a bad idea to try and steal from that suspicious looking house, but how was I to know it was home to a ferocious guard dog?
It all started when I heard wind of a stolen gem, from my good friend. I'm not your typical robber, you see, I steal from people that've stolen. So yes, after a few attempts I kicked down the front door and ran in to try and find the the gem supposedly resided in, trying to maneuver around the field of vison of the camera. Then boom! I was in! However it was very difficult to find anything, as the house was an enormous mess. I ran down the steps into a basement, which was also super messy, as expected of course. Then I finally found what I was looking for! In my excitement I didn't notice the silhouette until too late. It was a giant dog! And by the looks of it a very angry one too. I lunged for the valise and ran back to the main floor, swinging a bottle of aperitif (that was conveniently lying on the floor next to me) at it's head. I dashed outside, and cringed knowing that the security cameras would've definitely seen me stumble out the door. Then I climbed up the nearest tree and, well, now I'm here. I'd ask you to send help, but I really don'tneed the police involved.

Yesterday, I went to my friends house to play.when I got there she gave my a very suspicious looking aperitif that look yellow.She told me that it is lemonade and I drank it.It tastes horrible so I wanted to revenge. I made up a scheme and show her the 'Michael Jackson video' and walk away.A few minutes later I heard a scream ,when I walked back in she leered at me like she wants to kill me. Yesterday was pretty fun.

@ Jerry - When you end your sentences remember to put a space after your punctuations.

Also you forgot to capitalize "When" in your second sentence.

In your second sentence I'm sure it's suppose to be "looked yellow" not "look yellow"

Just remember this already happened so you need to add "ed" or something like that to some of your words.

Also you left out a word or two in some sentences.

My second story:
One day I went to a funeral. We, including Andrew, Kento, Issac and I drove to the dank graveyard and waited in the car. We left our house early so we got there early, ya know, we are really punctual people. We noticed it was 3:00 and the funeral was suppose to start at 2:45. So we called our relatives. No one answered. We tried calling again. Before we hung up since it took use so long, we heard footsteps coming. Each second closer and closer. We all leered at each other suspiciously. Then we opened our window. Silence. Then Michael Jackson jump scared us. He definitely maneuvered towards us that we didn't even hear a sound. We all shrieked and someone finally picked up the phone. All he heard were people screaming. He said "We are right outside but we don't know how to get in. So I said to them, I will go to get you. When I was walking, there were lots of bushes beside me. When I was about to unlock the door, this time my friend scared me. I gnarled on his arm since I was so angry at him. He started bleeding so I quickly called the police. Then someone took the phone out of my hand. It was Michael Jackson. So we got into the car, without my phone and drove at 200 mph/hour until we got home. The End

I was very suspicious, because Calvin looked almost like he was scheming something. However, I chose to ignore it because he might of just been uncomfortable or something. But, after everyone was finished up with eating, he started to act very ferocious. Calvin all of a sudden started to maneuver towards Jordan, and started to gnaw on his arm. Jordan's arm started to bleed! Jack and I started to freak out, Jack jumped him while I called the police. Whilst I was on the phone with the police, I scrutinized Calvin. I looked for anything that was unusual, and I noticed that his silhouette didn't look like a normal one. It almost looked like a Pennywise clown. I freaked out even more. I decided to throw Jordan over my shoulder, and tell Jack to run out of the house. And wait outside for the police to arrive. But... the police never arrived. (What happened next? It's up to you to decide.)

One day my intimate friend came over to hang out. Her name is Abby. Little did I know that Abby drinks aperitif. I was ferocious! Why does my BFF drink aperitif, I ask myself. I didn't want to be friends with her anymore. She soon became suspicious that something was wrong. I didn't know how. She leered at me. Since we knew each other for so long, she knew exactly what I was thinking. Then she got furious. She pushed me out to my dog's bathtub which was unfortunately, filled with water. My butt was so dank. That was the end of our friendship.

one day, a little girl named Abby went into a dark attic with a nice feeling wind and dank feeling with pictures of unicorns everywhere! She was sooo happy until....she started getting suspicious that the attic was not what she seems it is. She ran.and asked her mommy what was in the attic. "Oh, nothing"! she said.

ONE WEEK LATER!!!!!

Ally was playing dolls, when he heard this... "ally....ally.......i'll..get.....you....I'll........get........my.......revenge...........on.......you MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!Ally found herself walking towards the attic,she tried to maneuver away but she COULDN'T! When in the attic she saw a little valise that she never saw before. She was forced to open it. Inside was a little mask. she looked at it.....AND THEN A HEAD FROM NOWHERE DRAGGED HER THROUGH A MIRROR AND EVERYTHING WENT BLACK. to be continued
