INTERNATIONAL KINDNESS DAY

11/13/2019

World Kindness Day

Today is world kindness day. We spent some time after recess in our outdoor classroom, learning more about the Zones of Regulation, self-regulation, and kindness. This was an excellent opportunity for us to discuss how students have been feeling and how to make sure our actions are always positive. Social Emotional learning is an integral component of your learning. We want to make sure our actions do not hurt have a negative impact on anyone. Remember, if anything is bothering you at school, be sure to send me an email to let me know so i can address it. Watch this video (Kindness Boomerang) with your parents.

IMPORTANT:

Pay for the VSO field trip online.
An announcement was sent out on FreshGrade. Please bring $4 to cover the costs of supplies (Ikea wooden mirrors, grout, thin set, tiles, etc)

1.) MATH:

Complete 1 multiplication page and 1 division page.
Click here to review the lesson on converting mixed numbers into improper fractions.
Mark and correct if you have the answer key.
If someone can post a shared link to a picture of the answer key, I would greatly appreciate it.

2.) LA: Here is the digital '7-UP' vocabulary game we played today for 'THe Bridge Home'. Feel free to play it with your family for fun tonight! :-)

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

Do something kind for someone in your family this evening and post a short paragraph here about what you did and how your family responded.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph structure (intro, body, and conclusion)
2.) Givens (spelling, capitals, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation).
3.) Includes what you did and how your family member responded.
4.) Ask one student a question about their act of kindness.
5.) Edit/revise based on a self-assessment.

World Kindness Day! The day we all be a little nicer! Of course we all have to be nice to each other everyday, but this day celebrates the kindness we spread to each other!
Today I told my dad I loved him and gave him a hug I also told my mom too
I fixed my parents bed for them too!

Today is international kindness day, I we want to make sure we are even more kind to people than normal days. So i'm supposed to write about what kind things I did today and stuff, but I pretty much didn't socialize with anyone since I spent the whole day on table tennis. So all I did was hold the door for my mom when I left. Now for some reason i'm really sleepy and want to just lie in bed. I think it might be because i'm fatigued from all the squats and table tennis, but i'm not sure. So anyway that's all I did and i'm just going to sleep now.

This evening when I was eating dinner my mom wanted a piece of my dinner and I said she could have it. She was thankful that she could save it for lunch tomorrow.

We should all be kind even if it isn't world kindness day.

Today is world kindness day! World kindness day is a day for being kind, but of course you should be kind everyday! Why should you be kind? Here's why. Kindness can is like a boomerang. You act kind to somebody else, and people will act kind too! Also being kind just feels cool. Here's my act of kindness for today!

My act of kindness was with my mom. When she came from work, I asked her how was here day! She responded with a smile and she told me about her day.

In conclusion always treat others with kindness even if you don't like them you should still treat them kindly, because even if they don't show it they still appreciate it.

Today I did a act of kindness towards my brother. He may be sometimes annoying, but I still care for him. When my parents were out at work, I did my best to satisfy my little brother's needs. I did not get mad at him as easily, and tried to ignore his annoying actions. When my parents came back, they did not care to much. They know that my brother and I would be fine. I didn't bother telling them since I don't need the nice comments and stuff.

In conclusion, world kindness day is the day where you can be kind to anyone despite their reaction. Did you do something for your family or friends on world kindness day?

Today is international kindness day, and during this day we would try to be kind to others no matter what the cause is. At school Mr. Hong talked to us about what we do on kindness day and also if we did something probably not so nice to someone or was kind to them.

After dinner this evening I washed my mom some fruit after a long day of work she had, and she said thank you to me. Killing people with kindness makes you feel very happy from there thankful and kind reaction. We should all be kind to others everyday, not only on international kindness day. Even if someone is not kind to you, you want to tell them how you actually feel in a kind way and it'll probably calm them down easier than yelling at them.

World Kindness day is a day to highlight good deeds in our community. You wanna know I did to 'celebrate' this day? Well today all I did was make the bed for my grandma. Normally she does it because I am too busy reading. Yes I know you might wondering why I share a bed with my grandma. Well guess what, I live in a pretty small house and I really hate our guest room so that's why I don`t sleep there. My grandma`s responded with a, "thank you." Very boring I know. What did kind of nice thing did you do on world kindness day?

Today is the day to be kinder to everyone all around you and think about how you usually treat them and how you should really treat them. Even though today is international kindness day, doesn't mean you shouldn't be kind on all other days.

Today Mr. Hong discussed with us about how important our mental emotional health is and how we should have empathy towards others, because everyone is different and have their own personal matters to
deal with but might not want to talk about it, or want people to know about it.

Today I helped my mom carry her belongings and reminded her of things that she might forget about. She thanked me and laughed because she always forgets about things!

In the end, what harm would being kind do to you? It would only bring you good things and others having better attitude towards you! If you think about it, would you want to be nice to someone if they have bad attitude towards you?

Today for world kindness day I set up my dogs bed and added extra pillows so she could have a great sleep tonight, Even though I know she will mess it up later.

We should be kind to everyone everyday even if you don't like them.

my kind thing i did today was that i made my dad tea. it was an orange pekoe. he said, "thank you for making me my tea that i asked you to make an hour ago"...my dad seemed very thankful. i feel very good about doing something kind for others and starting the boomerang effect.

Today was international kindness day, this day is a day to acknowledge those who do kind things for you and to do kindness in return

Today, for the nice thing i did for my mom was grabbing a cup of hot water and an orange. Right now my mom is a little sick so i thought maybe that this would help her a little bit.

In conculsion, kindness is a virtued and we should always acknowledge those who do kind things for us and to do kind things to others.

November 13 is world kindness day. To celebrate this, Mr.Hong took us outside to the outdoor classroom. We talked about kindness and how everyone can be a little more kid to everyone. We also talked about what kindness can do to someone. I learned that we should always be kind to one another, this is because you never know what someone is going through.

For world kindness day, I went out with my mom today. We went to Lansdowne and we walked around together. I bought some candy from the dollar store to share. we both had lots of fun today.

In conclusion, being kind to someone will really do no harm. Being kind is something that will only bring great things. Just like the golden rule states: treat others the way you want to be treated.

Being nice to someone is a pretty logical thing that you should do on a regular basis. It would always be a win win situation. The other person is happy, and so are you! What if I told you there was an International Kindness Day? Well, believe me, there is!

For international kindess day, I decided to be kind to my siblings who I am usually mean to. I would be kind to whole family, but they can't understand complex words in english so I resorted to only my siblings. I told my sister, "So I have to say something kind to you for Kindness Day because I need to complete PAR. So yeah, you're the best and stuff." In reply, she said, well, nothing. She completely ignored me, as usual. Nothing new. My other sister was a little better, when she replied, "ok." I know she totally meant and it was very heartfelt and thoughtful.

You should always try to be kind to others (even if it seems like they don't care whatsoever), whether it's small or big. Being kind is free (in some cases), and free is a GOOD price.

Today is World Kindness day, of course this isn't the only day you can be nice. To celebrate World Kindness Day, I wanted to be kind to my mom. She always works late and is usually tired everyday. So I decided to clean the house for my mom for the whole week. My siblings made sure I kept my promise. Everyday I have to do at least 3-4 things my mom always do that keeps her from doing fun stuff she looks forward to. When my mom came home at 8:35 I told her all about World Kindness Day and what I decided to do. She replied with " That's good, but did you do your Math? " that response killed me inside. Even though World Kindness Day doesn't mean you have to be nice at that exact day, you should always be nice to everyone liek you enemy's, family, friends and your classmates.

November 13 seems like just another day. However it is actually world kindness day. is it sad that we need a seperate day to be kind. Yes. But atleast this tradition of making every day a special day means there is finally a day to respect lima beans. Ok lets get back on topic What kind thing did i do to a family member. I played with my cat, let him road around my room and tucked him into bed. What's something kind you did to someone today? Today is world kindness day and you should do something nice to someone today and I'm going to share something kind i did for my parents.

The act of kindness I did today was for my mom and I basically hugged her and brought her plate upstairs to the kitchen and i also brought her a toothpick. Her reaction was just "Thank you" and I just said your welcome.

In conclusion, you should always be kind to someone and it doesn't have to be international kindness day to be kind to someone you should be kind to someone as much as you can.

Today is world kindness day , during which we should acknowledge kindness and be kind to everyone. Of course, we can be kind no matter when, but today we should remember to be kind and not to hold grudges against everyone for every small things that they did.

Today I carried my older brother's bags for him, and that action was greeted with "haha you gotta carry my bags", quite disappointing (lmao). Honestly, what can you expect from siblings.....

But I'm not holding on to any grudges, and I usually try to be kind. Today, we should all remember that being kind will have their own benefits, whether they come sooner or later.

I said “I love you” and hugged my mom yesterday. My mom responded with ‘I love you too!’ She is very nice and she is the best mom ever! She always helps me with things and so I want to repay her with something. Yesterday I helped her with chores and I washed extra dishes. I helped her feel. Better because her hand was hurting a lot.
