What have you learned about painting with acrylic paints (First Nations Fish)?
What will you do on your revised fish that you did not do last time?
What descriptive feedback did you receive from Mr. Jones, Mrs. D, and Mr. Hong that you think will improve your First Nations inspired fish?

I learned that you need to really take your time with painting smaller details and to have a good hand to have a nice smooth pattern.
I would revise my fish and make the pattern more aboriginal and more neat then see which on i like the most

I learned that I need to plan out what I am doing instead of winging it. Next time I will plan out what my design will be before I start. This, will conclude in my fish being better and follow the criteria more.

Next time I'm going to use a finer brush so I dont smudge paint. The feedback I got was to paint black on around my drop disign so it doesn't look smudged and in the white spot to also in the drop.

I learned that you need to be careful and take your time while painting your fish because if it was rushed it would look all sloppy and messy instead of neat and smooth. Also making sure that you use the appropriate paint brush when painting your fish. If you're painting a small detail get a smaller brush, if it's a bigger detail then make sure that you get a bigger brush.
Next time that I paint my fish, I will try and be more careful and slower instead of just trying to get it done quicker than everyone else. I will also try and make my lines smoother instead of lumpy.

What I had observed from Mr. Jones was that painting a fish should take your time, not to rush it all out, and to use a nice and thinner brush. At first I was struggling with a fat brush and it was hard to paint smaller things, but when I used a thin brush, it did a much better work. But it is more time consuming. Next time on my revised fish, I will use a super thin brush and take my time, and use as much time as I can. I will also try to incorperate more of that first nations style art because my fish barely had any first nations art incorperated into it. I didn't get any feedback from neither of the teachers, but as I observed from others and the Mr. Jones showing which is good or not, that was the feedback I got.

I need to not make small details and take time and more effort in to it and use smaller brushes and less paint because it is not smooth, use more white, blue and red.

I learned that I need to make bigger details because we don't have small paint brush 's so it's hard to do small designs. I will put bigger details. I will also take my time well and rush it.

@ Oracle - Good questions. I wasn't clear. Please ask other students about other things they can improve in cases they didn't mention everything....which is likely. Perhaps you can give recommendations?

I have learned that painting the fish requires paceients and you have to take your time so you don't miss anything or make anything varely noticeable.

Next time I paint my fish, I will try to take my time and use a better thinner brush. Also I 'll do a slightly diffrent design.

I learned that painting the first nation fish you have to go slow and make everything smooth and creative. Everything needs to be coloured with three colours black, red, blue, and white. You also need some space when you paint it so you don't have to put a lot of detail. The first time I painted the fish it wasn't that smooth it was like a I splat it on. But I fixed it and made it smooth so it doesn't go messy. The thing I liked about painting the fish is painting is fun and I really enjoyed making the fish creative.

What did I learn about painting with acrylic paints on our First Nations fish? Well firstly, I learned that we have to be careful not mixing the colours up because, I forgot that when I dumped the paint brush into the red I did not realize that I still had white on. I also, learned that if we were painting a small or a big design we should have a brush that is appropriate for the shape and size. Secondly, If I revised my First Nations fish, I would probably have bigger designs, and I would make the lines more smoother, I would also, make the paint more bolder and bright. Lastly, the descriptive feedback I received from Mr. Jones, Mrs. D, and Mr. Hong, was that I needed to make the colours more bolder and making the shapes bigger.

If I can redo my painting with acrylic paint I would:
1. I would make my fish on a black background rather than putting black in specific places than ading the other colors on there desirded spots.

2. I would add less detail so I do not have to mix the paint together and make it bumpy, etc.

3. I would make the lines bigger rather than small lines with all the paint mixed together.

4. I would paint all the colors one at a time. Paint one part let it dry, paint the next color let it dry and go on and on with amount of colors you choose for your first nations art.

I learned that it is really hard to paint smaller areas if its acrylic paint and stains cloths fast. On my revised version I wont have so many details and spend more time painting it. I didn't receive any feedback on my fish.

I learned that I need patient to paint and use smaller brushes to paint small details. Next time I paint fish I would paint my fish with black then draw you design on the top with you pencil because it was hard to see my design. Also I would make my design simple.

One of the things that I learned about acrylic paints was that they dry quite quickly so it is easy to switch the colour you are using. If I could revise my fish I would put more time into it because parts of my fish looked a little bit sloppy and I know I can do better. I do not recall getting feedback from any of the three teachers so I won't answer the last question. Overall I thought that the First Nations Art was fun and it would be fun if we could do something like that again some other time.

One of the things I have learned about acrylic paints was that they dry quickly and are very bad stains. If I could revise my fish I would put more white into it and less black and blue. I don't think I got any feedback so overall I thought the First Nations Art was really fun to do and it would be awesome if we could do different animals another time!

I have learned that the paint drugs very fast and if you paint it one lightly it will show streaks. If I could revise my painting I would try to paint my line more steady because my lines were not really straight. I would also try to create more of a face on my fish. I learned from Mr. Jones or put one fist down and then my painting hand on top to get straight lines. This is what I learned about our First Nations art. What did you learn?

@ Mr. Potato, I would defiantly do a different design because I feel like I could do and even better job and improve the detail on my fish and be more clean with the painting in my work.

I learned that they are many really cool ways to paint a fish and that everyone has a different style painting. I will make sure to use slower strokes and finer brushes to make it less messy. I was not here when we finished them so I did not get feedback.

I learned that it is not as easy as it looks to paint with them. On my revised version I would plan ahead so that I don't need to keep painting over things. I didnt really get any "amazing" feedback.

What I learned about using acrylic paints is that you need to take your time with creating finer and smaller details and use the proper brush.

If I revised my fish I would make a simpler design and different types of paintbrushes.

The feedback I got from my teachers was to make smaller designs.

I have learned that painting with acrylic paints is really hard because it is so thick and a little goes a long way so it's hard to work with. For my new fish I am going to make my details bigger and don't use as much paint so it doesn't look messy.

You need to write more about your fish like your descriptive feedback amongst other things. Look closer at the criteria

I have learned to use smaller and larger paintbrushes for different sides of shapes to be efficient but precise.
With my revised fish I will paint the background first then the details in order not to smudge.
The descriptive feedback I recieved was to be careful not to smudge lines and keep them straight.

I have learned that a smaller and big brush strokes can be effective. I have also learned that if you out line something in white it will stand out more.
