My daughter being creative!

Creativity is a skill that can be taught by providing students with opportunities to be creative. These opportunities pave the road towards creating unique and meaningful pieces of work. Teachers who model being creative through various mediums will undoubtedly have a positive influence on nurturing the creativity of their students.

Although I was away today, the students had a wonderful day of learning. The students revisited poetry and worked on shape poems and incorporated a minimum of 4 poetic devices (onomatopoeia, alliteration, personification, hyperbole, metaphor, simile, etc). I can't wait to see how creative they were!

1.) MATH 6: Complete pg 197-198 Qu. #2-8 of the text.
MATH 7: Any assigned work.

2.) SHOWCASED BLOG:

Visit Slender Man's Learning Journey and leave him at least 4 comments (feedback/questions/suggestions, etc). I am sure he is in the process of making some updates to his website as you read this. ;)

3.) WRITE A RESPONSE #1:

Continue with your Socials lesson from today and learning about the different human rights by watching 3 different videos and commenting on them as you did on Thursday's post. Post on Thursday's blog post.
In addition to this, you must respond to one other student's response with 1 question, 1 comment, and one suggestion. Let's see if we can get every student in the class to complete this!

4.) WRITE A RESPONSE #2:

What is something you saw on the internet that was amazing to you? Post a link here and tell your classmates why it was so amazing to you!

Marriage and family: This right is so people can't tell you who to marry and when you will marry them. This right is important because then you can choose who where and when you will marry the person.
Worker right: This right is important because people are paid less then they are entitled to and the can not be forced to work for someone but can apply for jobs
Right to nationality: This right is important because people from different countries are being slaved or tortured because they are a different nationality.

Something amazing on the internet in my opinion would have to be youtube. Everyone likes youtube it is a very cool thing you can post almost any kind of video of you playing, doing, or anything. And you could also watch video's to get ideas or watch funny stuff when your bored. So that is why I picked youtube. The link is below.

I watched a video on YouTube and it was titled - Amazing: 4-Year-Old Boy Plays The Piano Better Than Most Professionals! I was thinking " No way! " I thought it was fake, so I went ahead and watched it. Wow was I amazed, he was so talented.

FREEDOM TO MOVE - This is the 13th human right. I think this is very important because anybody has the right to go whenever he/she wants go. Because if we are stuck somewhere that we feel is not safe, you would probably want to go. But without this right, we wouldn't be able to.

COPYRIGHT - This is the 27th right in the human rights. I think this is very important. The reason is because copying is pretty much stealing. For example, someone records a movie at the movie theater. Then, the person shares it with all of his friends. Well now, the people that made the movie wont get any money that they deserve because someone filmed it and now they get to watch it for free.

FOOD AND SHELTER FOR ALL - This is the 25th human right. In addition, one of the most important. The reason is because about 1 billion people in the world, live in poverty. No one deserves to be starving and homeless. But yet so many people are. If this right gets spread around the world less people would be homeless.

I found this YouTube video called Loudest Bass in the World and the video is very funny you have to see it and also, at first I did not think it was real because I don't think that bass can be that loud but I guess it can.

If there was no torture there would be like way less people being bullied and like in the video almost like threatening people to like punch them and to drag them to places from places but people just don't listen and they do all that stuff so that is why there are not a lot of people going into groups or walking down a dark way where teens are.

If there was no slavery everyone would live well but not all of them like the homeless and the broke people but there still is slavery people getting wiped if they did not do there jobs people trying to run away from the others and the bad people that make them be slaves but lastly there would be a lot of cruelty.

If everyone was born equal then there would be a lot of fully grown people now-a-days but people sometimes just leave there kid around don't even worry about them and even they just push them around and feed them without washing your hands don't even potty train them you just give them a diaper always.

what i found amazing was how people can post things on the internet that can help others. For example if someone made a catchy song?video that showed you how to multiply 9s it would probably be very helpful to others.

I love bmx so that is partly why I liked this video. I thought it was cool because it was the first triple frontflip.
I also saw another video of a 4 year old girl named Kaitlyn Maher on americas got talent. She is a really good singer for a four year old.

I actually love this video and I know it's a little edited but it's amazing to see such great shots/footage. For example, when he turns on the tap, you can see the first glimpse of water that rushes down. I even like the sound effects- It engages the audience that much more!
All kinds of videos like this are called camera footage in slow motion. It's great to see such wonderful shots that we don't usually see. Also, there are great videos of water balloons bursting. It's so cool!
