TUESDAY: Reader's Response Paragraphs

Look at our fit kids!

Today, the Gr.7 Students created their own fraction strips and learned how to add and subtract fractions using their new manipulatives. They now have a set of fraction strips in an envelope that they can use at anytime to compare fractions, add fractions, subtract fractions, and to make equivalent fractions. For a review of how to compare fractions, click here. Click below to review adding and subtracting fractions.

1.) MATH 6: Any assigned work.
MATH 7: Complete the remainder of your question for section 2.4 in your textbook. #7-15.

2.) LA:

Your first draft of your paragraph is due tomorrow morning. It must be typed out and saved on your Google Drive.
Use your response sheet from yesterday's Novel Approach lesson.

3.) SCIENCE:

Continue working on your science projects. Your projects are due on Friday.
Use your criteria sheet.

3.) WRITE A RESPONSE:

Draw and colour the animal you created a few days ago (Adaptations) you created a few days ago. (Pencil or pixels)
Take a picture or scan it into your Google Drive.
Share the link here and explain what the most unique adaptation this animal has.

You put the wrong link in. What you need to do is, go into that photo, then press on share, after that make sure you press change beside where is says who has access. It'll say Private- Only you can access. Press that button and choose Public on the web, then press save and it'll take you back to the sharing thing. The last thing you have to do is copy the link from underneath where is says
Link to share (only accessible by collaborators). Paste it in your response.

An interesting adaptation is has is electroreceptors which allow it to spot it without seeing it. This helps them because the animals they rat are animals that are rally small and only found at the bottom of the water.

The most unique adaptation "The Sea Challenger" has is obviously is stealth mode, the name explains it. He can freeze time or go to another period of time without anyone noticing him.

The Raccoon's one would be to create a home since most raccoons don't really learn to do that, mainly the male adults know it.

I don't think you can do that. I suggest you save the image to your computer first, then crop it from your "downloads" or whatever....

To begin with the eleturtle is like an elephant that has wings, and has a hard shell like a turtle. First the eleturtle can fly with the wings on the side of its body. Next, eleturtles can breath under water with the shortened trunks. Furthermore, the eleturtle is very slow which makes it blend in with the environment for camouflage. Lastly, its hard shell protects itself from predators. In conclusion, although eleturtles aren't real, it would be really neat to actually see one!

@Everyone

Make sure you are changing the setting on the "share" option on google drive, because many of you have it on private mode so other people can't access it. All you have to do is press "share" then change the part where it says: "Shared privately, only people explicitly granted permission can access" <change that to: "Anyone with the link can access".

Do you know how long an orangutan’s arms are? An average Orangutan has arms that are 7 feet long! This adaptation helps the orangutans because when the orangutans have to go to a tree for any reason (Like a predator or if their home is getting destroyed)they need long arms to reach the other branches.
