WEDNESDAY: DIGITAL LAW

10/2/2013

Today, we had a very serious discussion about online piracy. Many students were unaware of how serious it is to download music/videos/software illegally. It is just the same as walking into a store and stealing a CD from the shelf. We discussed digital law, which is a major part of being a good digital citizen. Obeying the law is part of not only being a good digital citizen, but a good citizen in general.

1.) MATH 6/7: Assignments due tomorrow (THURSDAY) before the Grouse Grind.
MATH 6: Complete pg 73 #8-11. SHOW ALL WORK. Watch this video on 'FINDING FACTORS'.
MATH 7: Complete any assigned work. Check your teacher's website.

2.) SCIENCE: Assignments are due on Friday.

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

Post your final draft of your 100 word challenge writes here.
Read and comment on at least 5 other ones. Remember, don't just say, "Good work!" Tell your classmate why you think they did a good job.

One day at Tiki kingdom a new king was being crowned. The new king was 10ft tall! The kings queen was beuatiful but she was forced to stand on a stone slab.He made a new law ......Every one had to where hats that looked like his head. "We need a new king!" yelled the towns people "lets behead him" yelled someone. The king heard this and started being nicer to his towns people.He also stopped making his towns people where hats that looked like his head, and did not make his queen stand on a stone slab.

But then when nothing could be worse, he made a new law every one had to where t-shirt that had his face on it and on flags that were on houses. " We need to have a new king " yelled angry towns people " behead him " said someone. The king heard this and started being nicer to the town starting with letting his queen walk everywhere and said " you do not need to were t-shirts and have flags on your houses". The kingdom was happy after that.

In Paris if you commit a serious crime or two not so serious crime instead of jail they cut off your right leg. Now i will feed you leg to the cat! Meow meow, sit, roll over, play dead. Good kitty, here's dinner, and the cat gobbled up the tasty bloody leg in seconds.

She does not dare to leave the garden the only thing that keeps her safe. She still screams of other women getting the legs pulled off a slow death. She thinks how can such a beautiful garden have so much pain and misery. She knows one day it will be her screaming and dying painfully. I tear slow goes down her cold face.

There is a creepy pot with bleeding legs coming out it has yellow eyes like a black cat. The pot is a guard for the garden in the back. People try to pick some flowers but the pot wont let them. The stone lady statue dose'nt let people get across. The pot scares them so they wont got passed him. An apprentice from a tropical magic forest. They call it the forest of shindue. Past the garden is one of the warriors power the apprentice is trying to get. So. At 8:35 pm the pot sleeps. The apperentice snuck behind him and and got away he finnaly reached the power of the warrior. Uh oh said the apprentice. He tootaly forgot about the stone lady. The stone lady blew him away across the garden. The apperentice said I try again tomorrow night. The stone lady stays up until 2:15 pm. So the apperentice had his second attempt sneaking across. He did it he got the power of the warrior. A day back in shindue. The apperentice was awarded a staff of universe the pot gave up gaurding and the stone lady dose'nt have to guard and everyone had a fun time picking flowers. But the dumb thing is that the pot is wierd. The End.

This is a good story, although you could use some transition words, and you have some incomplete ideas/sentences. Also make sure to shorten your writing piece because it's probably got about 200-300 words...

Battle Of The Statues

"Get it!!!!!!!!!" Screamed Em. The war has started in Statueland. The Fire Statues were trying to get the pot that holds the legs of the killed statues. "Nooooooo!!!!" Yelled the King of the Nature Keepers. It was gone! They stole the pot. For the next year, they were at war. Finally, the Nature Keepers won and got the pot back. A month later there was a lady statue. She was just staring at it and standing there for the past 5 years since it happend. She has also appeared in peoples dreams. She is still there today. Watch out!

"Get it!!" Screamed Em. The great war has started in Statueland. The Flame Statues were trying to get the pot that holds the legs of the dead Nature Keepers. "Noooo!!!" Yelled the King of the Sea. It was gone, the flame statues stole the pot! For the next decade they were at war. Finally, the King of the sea won the great Statueland war. A month later a beautiful Goddess looking statues appeared. Tons of the the people that live in Statueland had started seeing her in their dreams.
Watch out she is still there to this very day.

It was a nice afternoon in the museum of B.C. and it was just me on a one man research of organisms i have encountered within the past week first i looked at a couple abiotic statues and then this statue surrounded by a field full of flowers with another statue not far away from the one i was looking at. this one was moving and it is as if Im the only one here who noticed that out of all the people in the museum besides the security.

It seems that tribes back then had been killing each other to fight for food. Including them fighting for prized weapons too. And ever since this had happened they have been buried for years or maybe a portal that had released them alive. Maybe each tribe had been representing gods gear, Odin's Spear, and totems or more but each tribe had killed many others as it seems but were sure they'll die. Probably then would want to destroy everything alive. So what could this mean? what is this sculpture telling us? THIS IS FAKE!

During a Cloudy Night, The natives were doing a ritual they do every month for their group. They represented a tiki looking pot with bloody legs coming out of it directly. They called it, Muhasakhn. This Muhasakhn was their only statue they would do anything to protect. Until the other native tribe had struct with their ruler known as Sarinia. They knew it was their end. As they fought their way to battle there was only one remaining. The Muhasakhn. As Sarinia was defeated from her glory travelled to the Muhasakhn.

But it was just the air conditioner in the art gallery. Then, that tiki pot crashed to the ground. "Oh, no." That ugly piece of junk, laying on the ground. I ran as fast as I can. But I couldn't find the exit! I saw the security! "Nooooooo!" It was too late, the guard saw me run. "Stop running!" Yelled the guard.

I was looking at a statue and I thought to myself, what is that? I looked it up then began reading:"This statue is supposed too be a remembering of the dead." All of a sudden, the bloody legs folded out of the pot and it was a gigantic spider! Then the arachnid started making a web! I started to cut the web, but the spider saw me! I ran and hid until the spider couldn't see me. I came back out and I got the spider to follow me, and it stuffed itself back it to the pot.

The creepy pots' flowers are sprouting, shaping as legs. The air is still, but wait! They aren't flowers, they're ladies! The flower has demolished them and there is blood all over their legs! AS he digests the women, the statue in the back round watches in terror, I was scared too. As I got a closer look, I was so terrified, I almost fell to my knees. I found my self walking faster and faster, I then took a step back. I examined it closer. I then realized It was just a statue. I just stood there and sighed relieved.

"WHAT IS THAT?" I wonder who would create such a statue. it looked like a big pot with a tribal face. The weirdest part was that there was legs coming out of the top. Maybe someone who liked legs and gardening made this statue. Then as I looked at it a little longer... it was like my brain was switched. Now I thought it looked like the pot was representing the earth, and the legs sticking out represented how the population was growing.

I really like your hook, although I think you could add transition words, such as, instead of "then", you could put "however". Also capitalize the "I's"

I'm strolling thru Paris gardens for what I saw was, a freshly chopped head filled with mini legs gruesomely placed. I thought to my self... Who would do this?! Can it get any worse?! What shall happen when no more legs can fit befo- As this little head interrupted me and said... "IT SHALL TURN INTO A GIANT SMOOTH BLOODY LEG ABOMINATION!" It wailed. As soon as it stopped, it started rolling towards me... I then had my blood rushing thru my body. But I simply just stepped on the head like it was a puny spider...

The pot was very big and scary. she touched the pot suddenly the girl became a statue.she was so sad because she can only move at night time. So at night time she waters the flowers. they were definitely here. a tribe from millions of years ago were driven underground by volcanic activity. they have advanced alongside humans on the surface. now there waging war against france. the coulors of there national symbol are red,blue and green. these coluors were all over a tribal pot with legs in it. crack! boom! there coming throught the baracades! we have to get out of here! there surrounding us. we'll cut through the gardens then come out of the main exit. theyve' taken france. we have evacuated civilians and blocked the borders. they won't win.

There was a Giant pot with bloody legs coming out of it! In the background there is this woman statue that watched this giant pot come to life! The pot started moving and the pot rose higher and higher. The pot grew and body arms and legs then started walking towards the woman figure. Then the giant pot picked up the woman statue and places her right in front of the bloody legs in the pot and took her away to a secret jail were other female sculptures were and he was planning to have a collection way would he. But you'll never know.

The screaming finally stopped.
It was the midnight in the middle of nowhere. I was hiding behind a hedge from a giant pot which had devil eyes, that could see in the dark. Behind it a perfect garden yet no one came near. I look at the garden again because I can't look. There is a statue in the garden, her eyes mourning. I look back my eyes damp, there are only bloody legs left some of them my best friend,my parents. I swore in my head when I get out of here I'll come back and get my reveng!

Boom! A new sculpture is placed down infront of me. As I am watching this big thing with big bloody legs dripping down. As soon as it was placed down there was a huge amount of people crowding around it. They were all taking pictures and videos of it wondering what the point of putting that thing there. Hmm why is that thing getting all of the attention and I only get background photos. This thing is just a big pot with a lot of designs with bloody legs what could be so important about this big bloody thing.

They were eating then a huge "THUMP" came from the woods they looked around two minutes went bythe "THUMP" there it was again they looked around and in the distance they could see a creepy girl stomping they followed the girl to a dark cave and there stood the creepiest thing ever. A huge pot we took a closer look and there were bloody legs coming out of the pot that's how it happened.

There is a dark forest that lays at the edge of Paris. In the middle of the forest sits a statue. One day the statue got bored. He hopped away into the trees. He walked and walked until he found a berry trail! The statue followed it. Everything was going fine when some birds started eating the berries! He was very lost. He had no choice but to walk. For days the statue went on and on. But one day he found a garden and cautiously investigated. Then he found a statue place where he lived happily ever after! The end!

There once was a statue that lived in a forest on the edge of Paris. But due to boredom, he walked into strange woodland and left a trail of berries so he wouldn't get lost. Along the way he got very hungry. His hunger became so unbearable that ate the berries messily, spilling the bright red juice all over his legs. Long streams of red dribbled down to his feet, which were magically walking him to a statue place. The statue stood on his head with all of his legs in the air, so that he never got bored again.

A statue stood in a lonely forest on the edge of Paris. One day he got bored and wandered into strange woodland, dropping berries so he wouldn't get lost. After a while he got so hungry he gobbled up the berries messily, dribbling the brightly coloured juice down his legs. Now he was lost and lonelier than ever. In frustration, he stood on his head, stuck his seven berry-streaked legs in the air and fell asleep. Next morning, a crowd gathered, admiring him. He became so popular, they built a park around him. He was never lonely or bored again!

Legend says a lady that turned to stone summoned a huge horrible pot monster. Now if you pick a flower from where she was barried you would see the monster and the lady in your dream.Then the next day you would see the lady in real life then she would take you away know one could here you if you screamed and some come back knowing nothing and some never come back. people think the monster eat the people71 and some dont know.

maybe this gruesome picture represents souls of the recently desist getting tortured in the depths of hatis. also it could mean that hats I jut the devils mind and that he can control you when you die. I definitely belive that hatis is a bad way to go. but maybe those people didn't deserve to go thee maybe they just got sent to there with ouot any reason.or maybe they did well what ever. I find this kind of creep like imagen one ay you wake up only to see the last image of of your life as you fall into an internal darkness and your ody is engoulfed in this head.
