Today, students learned about writing fluency. Students read examples of paragraphs with poor fluency and paragraphs with good fluency. They ended the day off by reading a paragraph and attempting to improve the fluency of the sentences. The students received feedback from Mrs. D and Mr. Hong and the students made numerous edits and revisions until their paragraphs flowed smoothly!

- What does it mean to improve the fluency of your writing? Give an example of your own like the car example discussed in class. Your writing shouldn't be as if you're driving with someone who slams on the brakes and then slams on the gas over and over again.
- List 2 things that help make your sentences and paragraphs easier to read and more fluid.
- Give two examples of both items you list.
- Give a classmate one suggestion for improvement.
- Edit/revise based on the feedback you received or your self-assessment.
