Tomorrow is the Gr. 7 celebration. It will be a special day to celebrate your elementary school life and we will celebrate all your accomplishments! Remember to dress for the occasion. Your parents received an email with the agenda. The ceremony will start at 9:50am. Students arrive at school at the regular time. Lunch will be provided for students by JAPADOG! If your parents have any questions, they can email me directly. I hope you are all excited! Tomorrow will be an exciting day!

They worked on isolating variables in math for algebra and dove deep into their research for their inquiry on belief systems. IMPORTANT: 1.) SWIMMING FIELD TRIP: Return forms and pay fees online. They are researching their inquiry questions and are sharing what they learn with their knowledge building circles. It is amazing to see the ownership taking place. The students know how the inquiry process works and are putting together all aspects of their learning. Nice work everyone! In math, they continue to learn about algebra. In Novel Approach, they are starting to work on their powerful responses. IMPORTANT: 1.) SWIMMING FIELD TRIP: return all forms and pay $5 online. Because the district track meet was at Churchill, we were able to walk over and cheer everyone on. They are diving deep into their new inquiry on belief systems and are learning lots. It is wonderful to see how they are owning their learning and know exactly how to do their research. In math, they continued to learn about algebra. In the afternoon, they continued their science lab on acids and bases. We ended the day off with the Novel Approach and a book club session. IMPORTANT: 1.) ABC COLLAGE: Due Friday 2.) NOVEL APPROACH: Novels and packages must be completed by Friday. 3.) INQUIRY: Go public next Thursday (June 9th - tentative date) 4.)
