4.) POST A RESPONSE:
- Today is Orange Shirt Day. It is a day that the government now calls National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
- Review some of the videos posted below to refresh your memory.
- LEARNING INTENTION: I can share my understanding about 'Orange Shirt Day'.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format (intro/body/conclusion)
2.) In your paragraph, include at least 3 things you learned yesterday about:
a.) How Orange Shirt Day came to be
b.) What the girl experienced
c.) And how as Canadians, we can do better for future generations - 3.) Conventions/Givens: Check your paragraph for spelling, capitals, grammar, sentence
structure, and punctuation.
4.) Self-assessment: After your paragraph, post a sentence stating if you have met the
above criteria. If you haven't, state what you need to change.
5.) Peer-assessment: Give one other student who hasn't received feedback yet, 2 things to
improve on their paragraph. BE SPECIFIC.
6.) REVISED VERSION: After your self/peer assessment, post a 'REVISED' version as a
reply to your original paragraph. Don't forget to write (REVISED) at beginning to indicate it
is your revised version.
