- Complete your research for your section on 'THE ROCK CYCLE'. Remember, this will include your research on mechanical and chemical weathering. Please visit the following website to see a good example of website structure and organization. Joe Joltz - joediv4.weebly.com - Complete your 'HOME' page so that you introduce yourself and the reasons why you have created your 'ONLINE LEARNING JOURNALS'. 2.) Read 30 minutes 3.) LA - Complete any missed assignments/incomplete work. (Ch.12 QWILS and 2 Connections - if you didn't finish it in class today 1.) Read for 30 minutes.
2.) MATH 6/7 - No homework 3.) SCIENCE - Make sure you are keeping up with your online learning journals. You should have all sections completed except for the one on the 'ROCK CYCLE' (include chemical and mechanical weathering). Those of you who have yet to do so, please start on your 'ROCK CYCLE' section tonight. If you feel like it, complete it! :) For those of you who have yet to do so, make sure your sections on compaction, cementation, and fossils are completed for tomorrow. Show your parents your online learning journal and explain to them what the purpose of it is. What are you learning? Have you improved your research skills? Which skills have you improved? What have you learned about your organizational skills? Etc... 5.) For those of you who want to get ahead. Please create the following pages: - Reflections (on the main menu bar) - Language Arts (add drop do If you do not have Microsoft Office at home, simply use Google Documents for all your word processing needs. You can use it as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentations/slideshows, online cloud storage, etc. The best thing about it, "IT'S ABSOLUTELY FREE!"
We are collecting non-perishable food items, unwrapped gifts, gift cards, new gloves/scarves/hats/socks until December 8th. Please do your best to bring in your donations!

2.) MATH 6 - No homework 3.) MATH 7 - Pg 89 (#1 on a number line and #5a on a grid) #1-3, 5-8, 10, 12. 4.) Science - Make sure your websites are up to date. FRACTIONS TEST TOMORROW! 5.) LA 6/7 - Complete your 'DEEP QUESTIONS' for chapter 9 and 10. No blog assignment. Also, make sure you have responded to at least 1 other connection from the previous assignment (BLOG). 1.) Read Chapter 7 and 8. Focus on Connections. (Text to text, text to self, text to world, text to media) Be sure to read the instructions on the novel study blogs.
2.) SCIENCE – Update your website - complete as much as you can. Most of you have completed the research, now you must complete your bibliographies. Go through all of the different sections to ensure you have included enough research. Do your best to complete it by Monday. YOU MUST USE YOUR BIBLIOGRAPHY HANDOUT for all of your sources. Remember, you need a minimum of 3 sources for each section (1 picture, 1 video, 1 information). 3.) LA – Good copy of poem and picture must be completed for Monday. Follow the criteria given in class. 4.) Math 6 – Fractions booklet. 5.) Math 7 – Worksheet and pg 84 #1,3,4,6, and 7. 6.) Post a question or answer under this planner message. 7.) If you haven't already done so, please add yourself as a follower on the 'HATCHET' blog. Feel free to add comments to the planner messages below. Please use your net-etiquette and common sense when posting and be respectful.
I have added this feature to allow you to take more ownership of your learning. You can use this blog feature to ask your classmates questions and you may in return respond to any post to answer any questions your classmates have. 1.) Read Chapter 6 (HATCHET - 2 Sets of QWILS on sticky notes)
2.) SCIENCE - Continue working on your bibliography. Please focus on this task and don't worry about adding any new content at this time unless you have time. 3.) RELIABLE INFORMATION - Read through the Chevron website with your study buddy, and work on putting it through the C.R.A.A.P test. Make sure you communicate and edit the document for every section with your study buddy. Collaborate using google documents and make sure you share your files with me so I can comment on your work. 4.) MATH 6 - Parents must sign your test. Please return this tomorrow. Correct all incorrect questions. Complete AFL Traffic light sheet. MATH 7 - Chapter 2 Test Yourself and Worksheet 2.10 (on a separate sheet) 1.) Science - Continue working on your Science work. Focus on your sources/bibliography. Make sure you use the handout/worksheet that is located in your google documents.
2.) LA - Read Chapter 5 of HATCHET. Come up with 2 deep questions (minimum) and answer them on a separate sheet of paper. Also, please add at least 5 stickies to chapter 5. These stickies can be a Q, W, I, or L. |
