Today, students started the day off with music with Ms. Chung. Afterwards, we had ADST and a lesson on digital citizenship lesson. VIDEO LINKS: Learn to Write a Conclusion Today, students had the UBC Commerce students visit our class for their third visit on entrepreneurship. Today, they learned about artificial intelligence. They will be planning and creating drawings of a robot this month. In math, students learned how to use order of operations and listened to a wonderful song about it. In Writing, we continued learning about different types of essay hooks. IMPORTANT: 1.) ICE SKATING: Return forms asap. IN Math, the excitement was amazing! Students were actively engaged in their work and loved every minute of it! The learning during math was amazing! Today, you made much progress on your inquiry projects. You will have time every day this week to finish it up. We will be presenting on Friday. In Writing, we reviewed essay structure and continued working on our intro paragraph and our body paragraphs. In math, we were able to learn how to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions. We will continue practicing this tomorrow. IMPORTANT: 1.) ICE SKATING FIELD TRIP: Return volunteer driver forms and permission forms ASAP. Tomorrow if possible. Please do not leave it until the last minute. VIDEO LINKS: How to Set Goals (4 Easy Steps) Today, students learned 'How to determine what is important'? in Language Arts as an instrumental reading strategy. In PE, students self-assessed their volleyball skills and then had some free time in the gym playing dodge ball. After recess, students worked on self-assessments and writing reflections for their evaluated assignments on TEAMS. Some students finished off their holiday wreath assignments. Today, students, whose parents requested tickets, were given one ticket each to attend next week's concert. We apologize that we are unable to give more than one per family, however, fire code restrictions limit how many people we can have in the gym at one time. IMPORTANT: 1.)
