Today, a local church brought enough presents for everyone in the school. It was amazing to see such kindness and generosity being shown to our students. Imagine if we all thought about others like this how wonderful our world would be? Think about this act of kindness that was shown to you today and do something kind for someone today! NEWS: Tomorrow is comfortable clothing day in Division 2! Feel free to wear anything appropriate that is comfortable! 1.) SNACKS/POTLUCK:

VIDEO LINKS: To be updated Today, students worked hard on their 'SCALE OF LARGE' projects for Science. It was clear who had spent a great deal of time on their assignments and who had not managed their time efficiently. You have no other homework today, other than completing your science projects. Of course, your French for Ms. Campbell is still due. 1.) FRENCH ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE TOMORROW! 2.) SCIENCE:
VIDEO LINKS: SCALE OF THE UNIVERSE SCALE OF THE UNIVERSE 2 Today, students learned how to make a perfect circle using only a pencil, scissors, and a ruler. Students created scale cut outs of planets using this scale chart. Jagger created this 'SUN' using his scale measurements. If the Earth was 1cm in diameter, the sun would be about 109 cm in diamter. They learned that they had to divide the scale diameters in half in order to get the radius they needed to measure out their lines for their circle cut outs. Our science projects turned into a math lesson on drawing and creating circles. 1.) MATH: Complete all integer multiplication questions for tomorrow. 2.) SCIENCE:
3.) POST A RESPONSE:
VIDEO LINKS: 6 Ways to Draw a Circle Without a Compass Do your best to complete your projects according to the criteria sheet by Monday. You will complete a peer/self assesment on Monday or Tuesday. That will give you until Wednesday to hand in your final projects. You will receive feedback on Monday and Tuesday so you can improve on your work. If you have any questions about your assignment, please post them here. I will post a scale comparison chart in the Science section below for you to use to make sure your size comparisons are approximately correct. 1.) MATH: No HW. 2.) SCIENCE:

VIDEO LINKS: FreshGrade: An Introduction to Parent Accounts Today, we completed some brainstorming on how we can be more respectful when TOC's are in the classroom. Students all wrote letters to themselves to remind themselves of what didn't go so smoothly yesterday and what they can do next time to prevent this. We talked a lot about the R.O.L.E.S. (Respect - Others - Learning - Environment - Self) and being a good citizen of the class, school, and community. Watch this video on 'How to Change the World'. 1.) MATH:

To be udpated We will be going iceskating tomorrow. We will leave K.B. shortly after we arrive into the classroom. Our skating period will be from 9:30 - 10:30. We will return to K.B. Woodward just before lunch. Be sure to dress appropriately. Click here to watch a video on learning how to skate if you have never done it before or need a refresher. If you are one of the students who did not bring their permission forms (2) and their money to school, be sure to do that. Here are digital copies if you need them. VIDEO LINKS: How to Skate In math, you are learning the importance of using different strategies to solve questions. You have learned how to use number lines to add and subtract integers and also how to use integer chips. Your post a response assignment today will be to write about these strategies. Read below and follow the instructions carefully. I have been so impressed with everyone and how they have been using their different strategies to solve their integer related questions.
