Today, students learned how to use a new technology called Animoto. They learned how they could use this video editing software to display their learning. They are using this to create a photo essay of their ecosystems field trip and what they have learned over the duration of the entire unit. If you haven't done so already, make sure you create your account and only include your first name when registering. The educational code is listed below. Today, we learned about thinking about others before acting. This applies not only in digital spaces, but in person as well. Think about how someone might feel before doing something that may hurt someone’s feelings.
Write a paragraph about a time you made someone feel bad, sad, or perhaps disappointed and what you learned from the experience.
Include an intro, three supporting sentences with examples, and a conclusion.
Keep the givens in mind when writing your paragraph (spelling, grammar, sentence structure, grammar, and capitals).
Self assess your work and edit/revise your original response.

One time my mom told me to clean up my room but then I was too lazy to do it so she got mad and dissapointed about me. So I cried in my room thinking about what I did wrong. Then the next day I apologized and nothing happened. Which is a good thing.

Once I accidently pushed someone and they were upset. I was suppose to make it like a light push but i pushed some where that made him fall easily. I learned that even though it might be a playful push, i would not push anyone any way.

Everyone in this world isn't perfect, we all make mistakes, here's one of mine.
I had this friend from a couple years back that borrowed like, EVERYTHING. She borrowed my clothes, money, items and it really annoyed me because she rarely returned my belongings and it was my stuff. When she asked me to borrow $20 I've had enough and got really angry, like in the red zone. I practically shouted at her saying why she needed to borrow almost everything I had and rarely returned it. She said sorry again and again but somehow I didn't buy it. Her mom later came in my room with the money my friend borrowed and some of my belongings. My friend got pretty upset since I basically shouted at her and said she's leaving. I felt really bad, even though it was late she still returned my things. So I went over to her place and apologized. I was pretty shocked because she accepted my apology really fast and she was also sorry. That was a couple years ago, we don't really keep in touch anymore. I think I shouldn't really underestimate people unless I know who they really are.

So, for game #1, I scored 20/20.

I also didn't want to continue, because I kinda thought it was very easy.

One time, I was in a rush to clean up my room, because I wanted to get it over with. I kinda messed everything up, instead of cleaning it. ( I stuffed everything into my bins that are used for clothes). My mom got really disappointed that I didn't focus on getting my room cleaned, then moving on to going online. I was pretty sad, because this meant that I couldn't go online that day. From that day on, I decided I would TRY (the key word here is try) to focus on the thing I was doing, before moving onto the next. I learned that you can't cheat others, you only cheat yourself.

When we are all young we don't really know what is right or wrong. We need someone to tell us when we say or do something ridiculous. And that thought sparked up this story from when i was around 4. (Don't judge me...) My mom was in the bathroom and I saw my mom's favorite ring on the sink. I took it and pushed it down a crack that was in our wall. (To be honest i didn't know it would fall in.) There was a big *clink* sound and when my mom figured out what had happened, she started to get very upset and mad at me. (But mostly upset.) And from that experience, I never touched any of my mom's rings again. (And yes, the ring is still in that wall. It will be there forever or until someone breaks the house down.)

I don't have flash on this computer, so I'll fill in how I did for game 1 later.
My score for game 2 was 10/10. It was pretty easy, the pictures helped. The only thing I didn't like was that the signs switched around (at least I think they did?), and that made it rather confusing.

Okay I'm back.

So, when I was younger I had this anxiety thing. Where I was suuuuper worried about people thinking I was mean, or a bad person. And I played this game, where you could be 'friends' with other kids online (in other words it was just an easier way to get to their account page xP). Then I saw this random profile of someone who was at least a good two years older than me (Yes, you could include your age, gender, and what country you were from... Or make it up... Yes technically you could just make it up) , so I was all "WOW they're so OLD, and so COOL!" and sent them a friend request. They were actually a pretty nice person. Sent me gifts and whatnot. We became pretty okay friends (not many of my friends every played anymore). But then one day they asked if I could make them my Bff (another feature of the game. Not sure what it did though) . And I would've been all "Sure!", but then I realized a basic player could only have 2 Bffs, which I already did. So I panicked and asked if we could just be Bffs without it being official. She replied with some sort of "Okay, I guess" and a sad-face icon, and I'm not sure what else. I panicked even more and ended up hyperventilating on the couch with my parents trying to make sense of whatever I was saying. I thought I had made the person really sad (she had already bffed me!) , but I also thought if I un-bffed my bff's I would make them sad. In the end it was all okay though, I told them that if I ever upgraded my account (so that I could have more Bffs) I would make them a Bff. They were more okay with that. And guess what? I eventually did! My experience is probably very different from everyone else's, because as I child I definitely had some anxiety issues (I cared a LOT about what people thought of me, and I guess what my actions did to them). But I did take away quite a bit from that experience. I learned that there wasn't that much use in over-reacting and a couple weeks later when one of my other really good friends asked if I would make her my Bff and I asked if we could just be Bffs without having to actually be bffs to the game standards, she was fine with that! So, I also learned that the best of friends won't need you to do more than you'd like to.

My parents can't fill out the form yet, they know about it but they're still figuring out which days they can take off if they need to.

I have experience in hurting my brother's feelings.

I have a twin brother, we fight sometimes.It is hard not hurt his feelings. One time my brother was watching a television show and for no good reason I turned it off. My brother's anger escalated quickly. We started to fight and ended up knocking a laptop to the floor. My mom, like any other mom would, filled with rage we got punished, we were both very upset about it. I learned that you should not do something to someone just to hurt their feeling or make them mad, because it makes you feel bad too.

Um, so in class we learned about not stealing things and how that can make someone feel sad, mad or disappointed. It is kind of disappointing how someone in our school has been taking things from other peoples personal spaces. (Mostly backpacks) Well one time I made someone upset is when I played a game that some people take very serious. So basically what I did is TROLL in the game.It is like a competitive game, if you lose you will be in a lower rank and if you win more you will be in a higher rank. That is a time I made someone upset online. What I learned from that experience is that if you want to troll, try and troll some where people don't take it so seriously. This is a re uploaded version because I think the thing I did wrong is that I did not talk about the things in person. ( I am guessing because I don't understand what I did wrong) So a time a made someone sad/mad in person was when I was in like Gr.4. I basically ignored a person for like a couple of weeks, days or months. I forgot, but that made the person sad/mad I believe. I say believe because the person never said that he/she felt sad/mad. I am just assuming because that how I would feel if someone ignored me. What I learned from that experience is to imagine how you would feel if someone did that to you.

Before, my mom told me to do my chores. I refused to do them because I was so busy with my "HOMEWORK" that I didn't even have any time to do any of my homework. So my mom got really disappointed at me because, this isn't the first time. Then she came up here and told me to do my chores. I told her I just need to type out this last sentence. She let me do that and then after that I did my chores.
WE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!

I have regretted many things that I’ve done in life, and what I’m about to say is only one of them. This is, I think, the very first thing I’ve regretted. During grade 1 I had this friend, let’s call him Bob. Bob at the time didn’t really speak much, so I guessed he was shy. During lunch I saw Bob kicking my classmate Will (let’s just call him that for now), I decided to join him. Though I was little, I was pretty strong. I kicked once and Will started saying “Ow!”. I then realized my mistake and kept saying sorry. Even though he accepted my apology, I sent myself to the office. After this event, I learned that I should stop the person from doing harm rather than joining the person. I’ve made my mistakes and this was my first (that I remember), but I still feel bad to this day.

*I’m sorry if I’ve ever been mean to you. Though I sometimes only do it in a teasing matter, I’m still very sorry.*

If you think of me as a bad person, I completely understand. (Wow, this just got deep!)

I remember I had make someone sad last time ,and it was my sister.When I was around grade 3.One day after school,my sister told me that she got the English test and she only got 58/100,and she told me not to tell other people.And the next day is my sister birthday ,she invited all her friends in our house ,and I told all her friends that she got low marks very loudly ,after that all her friends were shocked and my sister stare at me ,and that day after ,my sister didn't talk to me for one week. I felt so sorry and sad about it

Story time!!!
So there was this one time where I was playing a game outside, and it was pretty violent XD It was basically a real life version of the series, Warriors. I was this cat called Goldenfeather and I abandoned the clan XD I wanted to make my own, and so I did. It was called Leopard clan. Apparently, I heard about me having to fight to make the clan real! Now, I get very violent at times. Sometimes, I would hit people as a joke XD So I pinned someone down. You guys would know if u were apart of this XD Even if you weren't, this was really popular news XD I ended up in the office. I felt really bad while doing it though...

It's been 2 years or 3 from that time now. I don't think I'm that territorial anymore XD

We all have done things we just want to time travel back in time to change, and I've done multiple ones.
When I was younger (kindergarten), I always got into a fight with this girl *searches up girl names*, Emma. Emma was really sassy, and when I was in kindergarten, I didn't know much stuff. Emma never liked me (not like everyone else liked me), but she HATED me for some reason. I solemnly swear that I didn't do anything to her...I think... I remember this pity fight we had. So one day, Emma said my mom was ugly, which made me SO MADDDDDDD. Even though I fight with my mom quite often, I HATE it if ANYONE offends my mom, because she is my mom. Since I was young ans now, I didn't have a good comeback. So I just said her mom was ugly. Then we got in trouble and I HATE being in trouble. Even worst... I GOT IN TROUBLE BY THE PRINCIPLE. That was like one of the most memorable thing that happened to me at that school.
Here's the part which I totally regretted. Some people in our class may know this but...when I was at Laurier Annex from grade 1-4, I WAS REEEEEEEEALLY BOSSY. EVERYBODY HATED MEEEEEEE. Sad life. I did that because Emma was mean to me so I wanted people to know how I felt so... I WAS MEAN TO THEMMM. I so regret my decision. That is why here at Laurier I want to change and be nicer to people. It was hard to become friends with people who went to Laurier Annex with me but I tried.
Some things you can't change but can improve. (wow! that was so cheesy)

Once,I was playing with my cousin, but she made me annoyed a lot and I was super mad at here. So I said that she wasn't welcome to come my house and I made her pretty sad.I felt pretty bad after that day so I apolegised and I learned that words could really hurt people.

Game #1: My score is 20/20. I think this game would get a 6/10 because it is way too easy.

Game #2: My score is 40/40. I think this game would get a 3/10 because the buttons kept switching positions, so I keep almost hitting the wrong one. Plus the signs are so tiny it is hard for me to figure out which one is which.

P.A.R.:

Today we had a talk about hurting other people and therefore affecting yourself and things related to that. I don’t hurt people on purpose ever, but it sometimes just happens. I remember one time when I accidently hurt my BFFs’ feelings last year. When we were at camp, we were about to leave when it started raining and something happened and we had to wait (I can’t remember exactly what happened though...). While we were waiting, I got extremely bored, so I was talking with my friends and saying random and weird things. Then the next thing I know I’ve accidently made them feel sad and mad. I don’t really know what I said though, so I got confused and that made them feel worse. Therefore I apologized and I felt really bad. My friends listened to me and we forgot about it. What I learned from this experience is that I should think about what I am about to say before I say it. Additionally I shouldn’t randomly say things when I’m bored because I may one day accidentally say something that’ll really hurt someone’s feelings.

There was this one person in my theory class who always ask me question about his homework, and most of the times he just ask for the answers. I was always helping him at first, but then i got kind of annoyed by that. He literally ask me the answers for every single questionon his worksheet. Then one day, he asked me again, and i just said, "stop asking me, go ask the teacher, why can't you just think of the answer yourself? You've been here two month now, but i think you learned nothing cause you are just asking me." I didn't even realize that i said these words. After that he just started to work on his own. After class, i felt kind of bad about what I said to him, so I apologized to him, adnnd he forgived me. I knew that when I said these words to him, i really hurt his feelings. So remember to think before you say something.

If you push someone and they get hurt they will feel sad and sometimes want to get payback by doing something bad back to you that could hurt a lot or not so much
