Building a Community of Learners

Today, Mr. Redican taught you how to research information related to extreme environments and space. You were able to use your critical eye and your ability to find reliable information to find good sources of information. Watch the link on today's post and follow the instructions on the post a response assignment.

3.) SCIENCE:

Build on your ideas for the 'SCALE OF LARGE ASSIGNMENT'
You will receive the criteria sheet in class next week. I will give you about a week to complete it from the time you receive your criteria sheet.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

Watch this video and explain if you think it is a reliable source of information.
Answer the following questions:

1.) Who made the video?
2.) Will they benefit from this iPad case protecting the iPad from any damage? Why? Why not?
3.) What do you think is the purpose of this video? Why did they make it?

Yes there would be benefit with the iPad case
1)Because dropping from a high height in a rocky terrain without damaging the iPad it will be a good case so when you drop it accidentally from a skyscraper it wont be damaged or at the apartment or when you rage so hard you bash your device against the wall.
2)Sometimes when your testing on your iPad and you have the case on there wouldn't be any fun without seeing your device explode on an experiment and sometimes when you accidentally spill water onto it the case would be useless cause it only protects it from damaging from high heights.

The purpose is to want you to use it because lots of devices screen crack because of falling and getting damaged Also its kinda useless when you drop it in water or get it wet in certain places on the device.
The reasons why they made this is because they either want people to buy their product or because they want people to see what they have made to protect certain technology and to show how good it is.

I think it's real because how do you fake this?

They will be Nigel by this because they will get no complaint of their I pads breaking.
The purpose was to make people love the I pad case.

BTW: I think an extreme environment is video games because they can cause rage and they can rot your brain.
I know that was not on the PAR but I just wanted to do it.

A: Yes because they probably put a strong case on and it would survive a 100 feet drop.
3) Q: What do you think the purpose of this video was?
A:They don't have any purpose for this, they probably did this to see outside of space or the see if the IPad would survive.

- I went to the page and looked at the comments and read it. Most of them said it was fake and some poor guy broke his by stepping on it. xD

1} I think it is possible for that iPad to be in space there's other technology in space why not an iPad??.

2}I thinks it's true because I saw this girl launch her hello kitty in a rocket ship she made.And there was a camera in the tiny ship I thought it was cool especially how she took extreme measures for a school project!!!!! Well I think it's kinda of real?? I can't say if it is but space gives lots of pressure so maybe the screen probably got cracked after it was done the video.

After watching the video:
1) I don't think is real because how can the camera still be recording in space? Won't the camera freeze.
2) G-Form created this video.
3)I don't think it will survive because the screen wasn't protected, but it survived.

A: Yes I believe yes for they shall make profits off of the people who buy this case , for the video shows and proves that the iPad case is reliable to protect your iPad from breaking or cracking the screen

2 )yes I do believe it will benefit because not everyone like to drop there ipad and then end up with it being totaled as in completely broken.

3)I think the purpose of this video is to show people that they don't always have to waist money on a new ipad when they could just spend a couple 50 dollars on this case. Estimated price.

My opinion is that this is inbetween fake and real and here is why. First how did they get space view image of the ipad.

Second how will the ipad still be able to transmit back a signal to track when it's way out of range. Thhis is the fake secton

@jesse no it wouldn't freeze because it's still pretty close to earth's atmosphere and space isn't that cold unless you get farther away from the sun look at the satellites in space they haven't frozen

I think the video would benefit the company because a lot of people may buy it just to think it will keep there iPad from breaking
2) I think it is fake because after watching that video I went on YouTube and I watched a drop test on the same case but it was only 60 feet and it broke completely.

3) I think the they made that video just to make the make money and fooling people to buy there products and they won't do the job.👍👍👍👍👍👍

Everybody is probally wondering who made this video , Well This video was made by : G-Form.
A 100,000 fall wow that's cool . I never thought it would have survived . The case must be made out of something , but I don't know what ?

Purpose: I think they wanted to see what would really happen to our technology if it went up almost to space , to see if they would survive. But i still think i had to do something with the case.

It's actually possible that the iPad won't break if you drop it from space.
I think the purpose of this video is for people to see and know what will happen If you drop an iPad from space.
They made it so people can be amazed. They just made the video to entertain people or amaze them, or to let them know.

Well, I could see that the iPad doesn't have any damages in it...

I think the purpose for this video is to entertain people (like Shmil said) and, to let people know that it is possible to let an iPad go to space (but, I don't think it'll survive if it goes further...).

I believe this is a non good source of imformation for a few reasons
1, It was posted by G-form which I believe he has no background of military or any sot of work for a gouverment.
2. Its unrealistic the ipad survived the fall unscratched
3. It reached the stratisphehre which does not have internet so it would not be on the internet

1.) The person who made the video may be someone from NASA.

2.) The benifit of this video was to gain more knowledge and see what it looks like for an I pad to float past our atmosphere and dropping it. The I pad has survived. So now Apple knows what materials to use to make their electronics.

3.) The purpose of the video was for education reasons and research. This was actually a great way for research for apple devices now you know it can survive outside of the atmosphere and it's durability.

FOTD: I'm selling fund raiser tickets tmrw because of cadets. We might be able to get a bear no joke.

It is relevant to the class because we are learning about space in class
The author/ channel belongs to G-form whatever that is.
Personally I don't think it is accurate because I iPad fell off my bed and broke so FAKE
I think the purpose is to make their product look strong and not cheep I think
Overall I think it is fake

I think it is reliable because they show real footage.
The purpose is to show people how the earth looks like from far.

It shows it in the air and the balloon poop on camera, and it shows them find it on camera.

2:I don't think this video is really because if a iPad fell from spaces wouldn't the pressure break the screen and even if it didn't break there it would have broke when the iPad hit the ground.
3:I think the purpose of this video is to show how good the case is so you can buy it.
