Yesterday, students learned about circles! They learned how to measure radius, diameter, and circumference. However, most students did not follow all instructions. Students should physically measure the circumference of all their circles and then confirm this with a calculation. Please note, they will not be exact but should be very close in number. I must be able to see evidence of this in the image you upload. For example, a physical measurement and your actual calculation. Answers don't show your learning. SHOW AND DISPLAY YOUR LEARNING!

Is calculating and measuring the circumference hard? Well, not really. It is just another calculating method of the perimeter of another shape. Today, I am going to tell you how to measure and calculate the circumferences of circles.
First to measure, you will need a piece of string, scissors, and also your item. Then, wrap the string around your item, and cut off the overlapped part. Next, what you want to do is to measure the string, and it should be the same as the object's circumference.
Secondly, how do you calculate the circumference? All you need is a ruler. First, you will have to find the diameter of the circle first, then multiply the diameter with pi, which is around 3.14. Then, you would get the answer!
I personally like calculating more than measuring, and there is a pretty strong reason. Lets say we want to find the circumference of a coin. You can't do that with a string, because you can't really wrap it around it. However, you can calculate it. Moreover, there might be some user errors, such as cutting the string not as accurately, slightly moving, etc. Calculating is much easier in my opinion, since all you need to find is the diameter, and multiply it by pi. Overall, these 2 methods are very useful in finding the circumference of circular objects/circles.

Do you know what’s a circumference of something and how to measure it? First, the circumference is the perimeter of a round object. Like, a circle or sphere. Now we know what it is, let’s learn how to measure the circumference of something. To measure the circumference of something, we first need a flexible object like measuring tape or string. If just so happen to have a measuring tape at home then just go ahead and wrap the tape along with the thing you want to measure and measure like you normally would. If you’re not so lucky and only have a flexible object and a ruler, then stick here for longer. You first need to wrap your flexible object around the thing you want to measure and mark the spot where it ends. Later, you measure that object (in my case it was a piece of string) with a ruler. Sometimes you might not have anything flexible around, so you can just calculate the circumference. This still requires you to measure the diameter with a regular ruler and doing some formulas. There are two formulas that can get you to the circumference, The first one is; C= 2 times r times pie and the second one is; C= d times pie. They will lead you to the same answer so it doesn’t matters which one you chose to use. The only difference between the two is that one you need to calculate the radius and the other you need to calculate the diameter. For example, you measure the diameter of your object and times that with pie and you’ll get the circumference. If my diameter is 5 cm then the circumference would be 15.71 cm.

In conclusion, you will get the same answer for the circumference either you measured it or calculated it. The only difference is that measuring requires a flexible object that can wrap around a round object and calculating only requires a regular ruler.

What is a circumference? Its a big word, but the meaning isn't that complicated. The circumference the the perimeter of a circular object. You might be wondering why circles get a special word for their perimeter. Well the answer is well within the process of measuring.

You see, the process of measuring a circular object is quite different from measuring any other shape. You have to get a string and wrap it around the the circular object. Make sure you mark the part of the string which touches the head of the string.

You might wonder that's just string, their is nothing special. Now, you have to put the string beside a ruler. You measure the head of the string and the marked part. Their you go that's how to get a circumference.

Ever heard of the word “circumference” in Math? Circumference is when you calculate the perimeter of a shape. But, how do you measure an object's circumference? Can you calculate the circumference? I’ll be explaining how to measure an object's circumference and how to calculate the circumference.

First, to measure the circumference of an object you’ll need, a piece of string, scissors, a ruler and the object you wanna measure. You wanna wrap your piece of string around your object, to see whether it goes around all the way. Then, place your string next to the ruler. Try to straighten your string as much as possible. Next, you wanna check where the string ends. That’ll be the circumference of the object.

Secondly, to calculate your circumference. First of all, you need to find the diameter. To find the diameter you need a ruler. To find the diameter, all you need is to take your object. Aline your ruler top where the middle is, where the object ends is your diameter. Then you wanna divide your diameter by two. For example, the diameter of my item is 8.5 I divide that number by 2. My answer would be 4.25. That’s how you calculate the circumference.

Lastly, when I tried to do the string method, It was kinda challenging. I was trying to measure the circumference of a febreeze bottle, and did everything the person did in the video. But, I kinda got lost and spaced out. Personally, I would rather use measuring tape and calculating the circumference is much easier for me to understand.

What does "circumference" mean? Have you ever heard that word in math before? Do you know how to measure a circumference? If you have not, then I would be happy to explain to you.

Circumference is basically the perimeter around a circle, so you wouldn't be able to measure it with any wooden or plastic ruler. You could take a piece of string, and wrap it around your circular object, then you can cut off or hold the access string. Once you have labeled the parts of the string that were not used, you can go ahead and measure it with a regular ruler.

That is how you measure the circumference of a circle, which is pretty simple if you think about it.

Do you how to calculate circumference? What is circumference? Well circumference is the perimeter of a circle. Now that you what it means, I'm going to tell you how to measure, and calculate the circumference!

Firstly you can used the string method. You will need a piece of string, scissors, a ruler, and a circle or sphere to measure. To do this method cut some string, then put it around the object. Then, mark where the string meets the other end. No overlapping! Finally measure the start of the sting until the mark you made. This is the circumference.

If you want to check your answer you should probably calculate the circumference. Firstly you get the diameter. It's a line that is in the middle of a circle, and goes all the way across. Then you multiply it by pi. Which is 3.14. For example if my diameter is 5.6. Then I need to multiply it by 3.14. I get 17.584 which is the circumference!

In conclusion that's how you get the circumference! I think I prefer calculating it, because with measuring it you can make this little mistakes. For instance you can move your hand a bit, and it makes it a bit off. I've noticed that the two method gives pretty similar answers to each other.

like about 2 days ago we learned how to tell the circumference of a circle it was confusing until it was explained so i will be telling you how to tell the circumference of a circle. step 1 find the diameter and the radius of the circle. step 2 make a paper ruler to wrap around the circle to tell the circumference. step 3 c=2 x 3.14 x r use that equation to find the exact circumference then you are done. this is how i tell the circumference it was hard but now easy

A circumference is the area of a circle. But how do we get the circumference? Its simple (kind of). First, measure the radius of the circle. The radius is 1/4 of the circle. You take a ruler and measure the the middle line first, then you can find the radius. It is harder without. Second, do the equation 2 x pi (3.14) x r (radius). Then you have your answer.

A circumference is the measurement around a circle and it is quite easy if you think about it.

You cant use any wood or plastic ruler a you will need a string , scissors,and a ruler to measure the string. The method we will be using is the string method first wrap the string around the circle object and you cut it where the ends meet, next and lastly measure the string and you have your answer.

Another method I know is more accurate. Trace the circle then draw a line across the circle then measure the line. Times the number you get by pi. Then divide the first number by 2. Then times then d x pi x r = c

In conclusion measuring the circumference is actually quiet easy and interesting.

Circumference is the measurement around the circle. It may sound hard to measure but it is actually not as hard as you think it will be.

To measure the circumference you will need a ruler and a piece of string, or you can just use a measuring tape that bends. Get that piece of string at wrap it around your circle. Now find where your string overlaps and hold it. Next put your string on something at use the ruler. Measure up to where your fingers are.

Another way to find the circumference is to measure the diameter, then multiply it be pi which is also 3.14. Now you have your circumference.

A circumference is a fast and easy way to find out the length of a circle there are two different ways to find circumference. The first way to find the circumference is to take a piece of string then wrap it around your circle then cut you are strange to be the exact length around your Circle. The other way to find the circumference is to take the diameter of your circle and times it by pi. In conclusion circumferences are a Important part of learning math.

What is circumference? Circumference is like a synonym of perimeter, but only applies to circles. To measure the circumference of an object, you'll need a circular object, a marker, a ruler, and some string. First, wrap the string around the object and mark where it overlaps. Then, line the string up against the ruler and find the mark you made. This should be the circumference of that object. Make sure you remember the side you were measuring and the extra side. It's a long process but good to use when checking your calculations.

To calculate the circumference of an object, using a ruler, and measure the length of half the circle. Multiply that number by Pi, or around 3.14, to get the circumference. I notice that calculating circumference is more efficient than measuring.

Circumference is the perimeter of a circle. There are two ways of acquiring the circumference of a circle. To measure the circumference take a length of string wrap it around the object and mark off where it ends. Then put it next to a ruler to measure the length of the string. This measurement of your circumference. On the other hand, it’s also possible to calculate the circumference by taking the diameter (the distance between one end to the other end of a circle) Then multiply this by Pi which is 3.14159265359. Or just by 3.14 if you don’t feel like wasting away your life. Here’s an example. If a jar of paint has a diameter of 40mm then the circumference would be 125.6mm as 40x3.14 is 125.6.
In conclusion, circles can be measured.

Measuring the circumference of something is the same as getting the perimeter of and object but circumference only applies to circles. One of the ways to measure the circumference of a circle is to get a string and wrap it around the circular object and mark where the sting meets then unwrap the string and using a ruler, measure the length of the string, the length of the end of the string to the place where you marked is the circumference of the object. One of the ways to calculate the circumference is to measure the diameter of the circle and multiply the diameter by Pi or 3.14 for example the diameter of the circle is 1 so I would multiply 1 by 3.14 to get 3.14 that means the circumference of the circle is 3.14 an other way is to get the radius of the circle ( the radius is basically half the diameter) and multiply the radius by 2 and then multiply the answer by Pi/ 3.14 and thats the circumference of the circle. The thing I notice is that calculating the circumference is a bit more efficient that just measuring the circle but just measuring is just easier in my opinion.

Oh math oh math, you continue to surprise me with these super long and weird words such as circumference. But what does it mean, well in case you have yet to hear about circumference that probably means you haven't passed your math class (JK). Anyway it is the perimeter of a circular shape, for example a circle.

You measure by using 1 of 2 methods, calculating it and measuring it. 1 way of measuring it would be to grab some string and wrap it around the circle and measure the length beside a ruler. If you prefer writing numbers down try calculating it, when you are trying to calculate it, you need 1 number and that is the diameter of the circle ( from side to side ) and PI or 3.14. What you do is simple write the equation like this C = 10 cm x 3.14 = ____ and that is the perimeter of the circle. You multiply the diameter by PI and boom that is the perimeter around circular shape.

In conclusion long words with simple meaning are just like short words with lots of meaning to it. Try and learn everything you can for as long as possible and that will lead you to understanding a lot.

When measuring circumference you can use the string method. For the string method, you’ll need a string, scissors, and a ruler. The steps are pretty straight forward. First, you want to wrap the string around your object and cut when both ends meet. Then, using your ruler, measure the length of the string.

When calculating circumference, you can simply use the formula C = πr2. C = 2πr, in other words, is 2 x 3.14 x radius. As an example, imagine that you were measuring a jar with an 8cm diameter. If the diameter is 8cm, the radius would be 4cm. 2 x 3.14 x 4 = 25.12.

In conclusion, I found that calculating circumference is much easier than measuring. I also found that sometimes the string method wasn’t completely accurate.

Circumference is the border around the circle and there's 2 methods to obtain the answer. 1 method is to measure it and the other is to calculate it.

1 method of the 2 is to measure it, and you can do that by grabbing a string, ruler and scissors. First you would place the string on the circumference til both ends meet, then you'll cut it where they meet and measure the string. After that you now have the circumference of that circle.

The second method is to calculate it, and there's 2 formulas to calculate the circumference, the first formula is C=2 x Pi x R and the other formula is C=Pi x D. R is radius and D is the diameter. An example is if the radius is 3 so you would multiply 2 by pi so 6.28 multiplied by 3 and the answer would be 18.84.

In conclusion, I find it easier to calculate the circumference than to measure it.

We learned about circles in math. I'll be teaching you how to measure and calculate the circumference of a circle. To measure circumference without a tape measure, you just need a piece of string and a normal ruler. First, wrap the string around the outside of the circle. Mark the part where it ended, then measure the string up to the spot where you marked it. To calculate the circumference of a circle, you need to either have the diameter or the radius of the circle. Multiply the diameter by 3.14 or pi and you'll have the answer! If you only have the radius, just multiply that by two and then multiply it by 3.14 or pi. Something that I notice when measuring and calculating the circumference is the answers are often just a little bit off. In conclusion, calculating the circumference is easier and more accurate.

We have been learning about circles in math the past few days so i'll teach you how to measure and calculate circumference. First of all, to measure circumference, get any ruler and put it on the side of your circle, the rotate it all the way around, whatever number is on your starting point is your circumference, if you slide your ruler when measuring it will be inacurite. Anyways, to calculate circumfrence, just times your diameter by 3.14 and you will get your answer. In other words if your good at math, calculating circumference will be easier, faster, and more accurate.

Do you know how to measure circumference? for me I will measure circumference by 3 steps. First, I will find an object and take a string and go around my object.
Second, I will cut off the excess of the string. Third, I will use a ruler to measure the string so that will be my circumference. For how I calculate the circumference I will use diameter multiple (pi) equal circumference.

Calculating circumference has 2 different techniques. First, you can cut a piece of string and wrap it around the circle, then you take that string and measure it with a ruler. I personally don't like this technique because i find it doesn't give you an exact number. I would much rather so this next technique. All you have to d is find the middle point of your circle, then make a line from the middle point of your circle, to the edge of the circe. That is called the radius. You can also make a second line, connecting to the first line, so that it is one straight line from one end of the circle, to the other. then, measure that line, and calculate it by pi (3.14). that is how you calculate circumference.

to calculate the circumference of a circle, you can use 2 different strategies with each of them having two different methods . firstly, you can measure the circumference by using a take measure. I have found that this method works best with 3d objects because you can wrap the tape measurer around the object. For the second method you will need, a ruler and string. first put the string along (if its 2d) or around (if its 3d) your circle, next, measure that string with a ruler to get the circumference. the second. lastly, you can take the diameter x pie (3.14) to get your circumference. the second formula is 2 x pie x radius.

What does circumference mean? Circumference is the perimeter of a circle. However, this term only applies to circles.

There are 2 ways to calculate circumference. First one being to measure circumference. To achieve this, find a circular object and simply use a tape measurer, string, or any sort of string-like object to surround the perimeter of the object. Then, measure how long the perimeter was (judging by how much of the object was used) and you have the circumference. There is a way to measure it without using objects. Using the formula 2 x 3.14 x radius, you can find the circumference. For example, if a cup had a diameter of 4cm, the radius would be 2cm. Then do the equation 2 x 3.14 x 2 = 12.56.

In conclusion, circumference is quite simple to find. However, I always find the more accurate method is by calculating with pen and paper.
