Today, your activities will revolve around these learning principles!
1.) PE / WORKOUT WEDNESDAY:
- Record your resting heart rate. Click here if you have forgotten how to do this.
- Click here to watch and follow 'PE WITH JOE'
- As soon as your workout is finished, record your active heart rate.
2.) MONDAY / TUESDAY ASSIGNMENTS:
- Make sure you complete all assignments by tomorrow morning at 9am.
- Mr. Fisher and I will give you more details on our expectations for daily/weekly assignments by Monday morning.
3.) POST A RESPONSE:
- SELF-ASSESSMENTS are a form of MONITORING YOUR COMPREHENSION.
- Monitoring comprehension teaches us strategies to make sure you we understand what we are reading, learning, or doing.
- Monitor your comprehension by REREADING Monday and Tuesday's POSTS!
- Your PAR for today is to write a brief paragraph about the importance of SELF-ASSESSMENTS.
LEARNING INTENTION: I can monitor my comprehension by completing a self-assessment of my
work from Monday and Tuesday and explaining the importance of this.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format (intro, body, and conclusion)
- Based on the feedback I gave you on your MONDAY PAR, try a different type of hook and
conclusion. Also, don't forget about your transition words to improve the flow of your writing.
2.) Pay attention to the 6+1 Write Traits
3.) BODY: include 2-3 examples of how you completed your self-assessment of your
work on Monday and Tuesday. Include an example of something you saw you overlooked after
completing your self-assessment.
4.) CONCLUSION: Mention how you will make sure you do a self-assessment next time and why
this is important.
5.) Edit/revise your original based on a self-assessment of the 6+1 Write traits.
