IMPORTANT:
- Math Quiz during morning check-in
- Word Work at 2pm.
1.) MATH:
- Make sure you have uploaded your corrected math from yesterday.
- Post a brief comment on FG stating any challenges you had.
- Watch this video.
- You have 2 learning activities today
1.) After watching the video, you must write down the rules for dividing positive and negative integers. Upload to FG.
2.) You must show also show examples of the following types of questions:
a.) positive numbers X positive numbers
b.) positive numbers X negative numbers
c.) negative numbers X negative numbers - Complete Khan Academy Division Questions (4) and take a screen shot for evidence of completion and upload to FG.
- Review Rules for Division of Integers and complete questions (3). Take a screen shot for evidence of completion and upload to FG.
- Complete and correct Dividing Integers worksheet and upload to FG.
- GAMES: Play one of these online games for practice and upload to FG.
2.) LA/NOVEL APPROACH:
- Your daily ROUTINE for your NOVEL APPROACH CHANNELS should be the following:
1.) Ask questions about readings, share opinions perspectives, and detailed connections.
2.) Discuss any gift of words and thinking and learning questions you had were unsure about.
3.) Discuss previous day's readings. - 10:45 AM 14th GoldFish Book Club
3.) SCIENCE:
- Upload yesterday's lab write-up to FreshGrade with pictures/videos in your actual document.
- Your task today is to create a density tower. You must document everything with pictures/videos. (THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU WILL BE MAKING A VIDEO TOMORROW TO DISPLAY YOUR LEARNING!)
- Yesterday was a practice activity so you could learn and understand a little bit about density.
- Today, you will create a quality density tower using what you learned yesterday.
LEARNING INTENTIONS: I can create a density tower using various liquids.SUCCESS CRITERIA:
a.) List actual densities of each liquid you use. If you can't find them on this link, do some research online to find it. Units should be in g/cm3 or g/mL. (You should use the same ones as yesterday and maybe even add one or two)
b.) Create a density tower that layers each liquid on top of one another clearly. Be sure to keep in mind your sources of error from yesterday and what Mr. Hong discussed in the morning meeting.
c.) Once you have finished your density tower, find some small items like a pop corn kernel, a cheery tomato, and/or a ping pong ball. Carefully drop it into
d.) In an FG COMMENT, explain the RELATIONSHIP between actual density numbers and how each liquid will either float or sink.
e.) Document everything with pictures/videos.
e.) Document exactly what you did (PROCEDURE) in point form on paper - You will use everything you do today in tomorrow's science activity (You will create a video of what you did today.)
- If you feel today's activity is too easy for you, click here and do this instead.
4.) POST A RESPONSE:
- Make sure you update your daily FG uploads and comments properly! I will be calling home tomorrow if this is not completed according to the criteria. (daily reading, PE, daily math, science, etc)
