A former student's picture

Today, students learned a few new photography skills and got to practice using them on the playground. Tomorrow, they will officially begin their Alphabet Photography assignments. Click here to see an example of what they will be creating. Check out PicMonkey and Pixlr to see if you can create something like the image to the left that my former student made. She made it look like she was standing one the Eiffel tower. Upload your image to Google Drive and post a shared link to today's PAR. WILL ANYONE ACCEPT AND COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE?

1.) MATH: No HW.

2.) LA/NOVEL APPROACH:

Work on your powerful responses for your picture books.
You must give at least one person from your picture book group feedback on their Google Documents. If you haven't shared it with your group members yet, be sure to do this today.
Use your self/peer assessment sheet to make sure you are giving appropriate feedback to your peers.
Do a self-assessment according to the criteria sheet to make sure you have included everything required.

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

You have learned about rule of thirds, leading lines, and filling the space.
Take some photos around your room and outside to add to your alphabet pics.
Upload these photos to your shared Google folder so you can see your photo taking skills develop from now until we complete this unit. If you haven't shared it with me and you partner yet, be sure to do so. Call this 'YOUR NAME'S ALPHABET PHOTOGRAPHY'.
Remember, only take letters that are naturally occurring and not posed.
Post a shared link to your best alphabet photo that you have taken so far. (SHARED LINK FROM GOOGLE DRIVE)
Post your link here and comment on at least 3 photos that have been posted. Comment on the 3 skills you learned that were mentioned above.
Also, comment on what you think of the image. What did you like? What was interesting? What could be improved?
Respond to comments you receive.

@ Jesse - I like the angles you used. See if you can figure out how to use the filters to enhance some of the green in your pictures.

Rule Of Thirds

I learned and know how to make a picture rule of thirds, take a picture with the item you are trying to take a picture of space around to blur it out.

Mr.Hong while i was uploading the pictures to google docs i pressed the wrong button and they all got deleted i took a long time taking the shots but they are all gone what should i do now?

What I learned from rule of the thirds:
I learned that you actually need to go sideways when you take a picture of something.

What I learned from leading lines:
I learned that you need to take a picture of a lot of lines and make it interesting.

What I learned from filling the space:
I learned that you need to fill up the whole space of the camera when you take a picture so when a person looks at the photo, they can only focus on one thing.

What I learn from rules of thirds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first thing about what I learned from rules of thirds is that you have to put the camera at a certain angle to get that nice affect or your picture won't look good.

The second thing that I learned about rules of thirds is that you can be as creative as you want you can do anything the power is in your hands be creative with your picture.

The third thing that I learned from rules of thirds is you can get as much feedback as you can if you get good feedback others that means that you can improve on your work and make it much better then before.

PS: I don't know how to put my google docs link so Mr.Hong or anything one can you help me put the link on the website please!
