Mr. Bains and the SMART board! Today, students revisiting primes/composities and learned about greatest common factors (GCF) and lowest common multiples (LCM). Mr. Bains had an engaging lesson using the SMART board and the interactive lesson. Later, students engaged in the peer-feedback process and assessed the work of their peers. Students used criteria for paragraph structure and gave descriptive feedback to their partners. Then, students used the feedback they received to improve their writing. The result was amazing! Students improved their writing structure in their paragraphs! THE LEARNING WAS VISIBLE! At the end of the day, Mr. Bains had a class meeting by having a talking circle. He tied it into the indigenous principles of learning and it was a huge success. The floor was open for all students and they all share a little bit about themselves with the rest of the class.
