aToday, we were lucky to have our first EARTH BITES session today. Pablo and Clara taught the students how to harvest the vegetables from our Division 2 garden and how to make delicious kale chips. Two guest nutritionists also helped teach the students about healthy eating. Click here to access the recipe for kale chips. Parents, click here to learn more about the learning involved. In addition to this, the students also started working on their reading assessments to see where they are in their abilities. Most students will complete these by tomorrow.

Did you know that you could become famous for JUST CHANGING SOME WORDS? So the big idea of the video are that words change everything.

For instance you could say that bob is a good person, and then, you could say that bob is better than the best person in the whole entire universe. You mean the same thing, but your WORDS made bob happier and now he is your best friend. Now you are happy because you made friends with bob just by telling him something.

Now you know that using good words are awesome, and you could be open-minded and use new words! ^-^

"Words can change someone's life!"

The big idea of this video is that even if someone is blind, words can still change there day. They are still human like us, no one should treat them differently.
The message is that there are many people out there that bully others because there blind, def or even cant talk as clearly as us! More and more people get touched by that and know what hes going through. That lady made his MONTH!
Overall this video really moved me and its so sweet that this lady did something so amazing to this man!!!

Words can do anything, even change the world. It just depends on how you use it. This video is showing you how words can change the world and how important words are, and how lost we would be without words.

Words can do anything, even change the world. It just depends on how you use it. This video is showing you how words can change the world and how important words are, and how lost we would be without words.

You should always use encouraging words to cheer someone up and not use words that would make someone depressed.

I can’t believe that just by writing the same meaning but in different words can change so much.

I think the meaning or big idea of that video is that a simple change of words can completely change how people look at it. For example, if there was a commercial about vitamin c tablets, just by saying “its really good for you” is just stating the fact that its good for you. Making it catchy and giving people a better image like “energetic and healthy kids have vitamin c tablets” make you want it more then just “its really good for you”.
Just by how you choose your words you can change how people act.

And in this video it shows how someone’s life was changed by just writing the simplest words to express there problems and that can
change one persons whole life!

Sometimes one word can help change every thing and that is very true, so this is one very important thing we all have to care about!

When someone is Lonly, a word can change everything so I would incorage people to help each other with words!

This video shows a blind, poor man looking to make some money to get some help, he had a poorly written sign next to him saying "I am blind please help". The majority of people decided to ignore this man for the fact that it could all simply be a ruse and he just wanted to make money. Later, a woman passes by and sees the poor man and notices the mediocre sign, instead of donating to this man, she takes the sign from where it was sitting and alters the simple message, "Its a beautiful day and i can't see it". After, the man starts gaining over twice the amount of donations that he did before.

The most obvious and most correct answer would be that words can have a substantial power. One person can make something huge with just a simple sentence. You could help a person who's life has turned blue, You can teach new stories or morals and allow those people to pass those same stories on. Words can change lives. You can use your knowledge to change the world as we see it. But, it can also have a negative affect, careless use of words can end up hurting multiple people, you can destroy a whole life just by saying horrible things to them. This is why we as a community have to try and change our ways to be more positive towards each other and use our words carefully.

Remeber, we’re giving constructive criticism. Not being rude. I think it’s a great idea to show the creator some love and support. The video was really powerful and if we want to see more videos like that, we should support whoever created it. I also think it’ll be great to properly help your classmates learn how to be kind with criticism and give good criticism. :)

In order to change the world, you have to change your words.

Before the woman in the sunglasses came, only a few people gave the blind man money. After, the woman wrote "Its a beautiful day, and I can't see it" on the sign, lots of people started to be generous and give money to the blind man. The simple act of changing the words on the sign helped the blind man a ton.

For example, if you say that your friend is good at Fortnite, then he/she might not believe you. But, if you tell him/her that he is unbeatable and no one has more kills than him, than he/she will believe you. Hopefully.

In conclusion, words are not just things, they are things capable of changing the world, if you use them right.

That was a very sympathetic and compassionate video. However, a powerful message was concealed behind it: Words can make a big difference!

The video is about the importance of words, and how changing one word can change someone's life. In the video, a poor, blind man is in need of money to get help. Before, the sign said "I am blind please help," and he collected money from only a handful of people. Later, when the woman walked by and noticed how little money the blind man had, she adjusted the sign to read "Its a beautiful day and I CAN'T see it," the blind man started receiving a lot more money than before. It shows that the simple act of changing a few words can help someone a great deal.

Here's an example. Let's say you have a friend who is not very good at math. If you tease him/her and use negative words, he/she will never improve their math skills. On the other hand, if you use encouraging words and shower him/her with compliments, he/she will start to mage progress.

In conclusion, this video shows that kindhearted words have an extraordinary superpower: the power to change someone's life!

Words can change EVERYTHING. The difference between the two messages on the sign is that people can’t really relate or FEEL what it’s like to be blind, once you let them “see” or feel what it’s like, they may finally understand. That’s called PERSPECTIVE.

I think there are a few lessons in this video. I also think that the first message is to help those in need, or least try to help them. The second message is that words can do ANYTHING. Words that you say can be SO powerful, you just need to choose the right words. Let’s say you’re at school and you see someone getting bullied. You walk over to them and you say “Stop it! That’s not nice!” Or you say “Imagine how you would feel if you were that person getting bullied, how would that feel? You wouldn’t want that to be you, would you?...” If you use words that help people see from other peoples perspective, then more people would be able to understand ones troubles.

And that’s why I believe, that words can change the world.... or at least achieve great things.

Never doubt a small change of words! Sometimes, just that little change of words can change your whole life!

I think the main thing in the video was that a simple change of words can change a lot more than most people think! An example is if you turn "You are a great friend" into "You are an amazing friend, and I've never had a friend as good as you!!!", You could really make their day!

That is just one of the examples the smallest change of words can change so much more than you imagine! So again, never doubt a small change of words!

This video shows us how words can be useful and life-changing. Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much. That’s what the video showed me. Just by changing the words, you can change the man’s entire day, year, or even lifetime! At the end, I believe the old man can start to see something. It’s the kindness in the woman’s heart. Words express a lot. I think that the important part of this video is that words can express feelings, they can make other people feel something, and are also remembered by the way you say them. For example, the word "day" isn't much, but when written on the cardboard in the video, it makes a difference to the guy, the woman, and all the passerby in a way. By changing words from a blunt "please help" to a meaningful sentence, it can change everything. This is what I think is the message of this video: words are more powerful than you think.

Before the woman sign on it. There’s not many people give the blind person money. They don’t understand what’s the feeling that you live in a “black world”,but after the woman change the words,she make it more powerful, so that the people understand what is been like a blinder. Yes, the blinder knew how to write, but it didn’ have power in it, so that’s not very good. So we should add some power in our word, and say the word respectfully.
This is why the word can change anything in the world.

Wow... that was really heart touching. It’s been a while since I’ve seen videos like this. BEAUTIFUL!!!! I think that the message was amazing and I definitely think that the message is to tell you that words can change the world and that you should be kind to everyone even if a large part of society looks down upon them. You never know what someone would be going through. A single person can make a huge difference with just words. That’s pretty insane. Overall, I think that was a beautiful video and it spreds a great message.

Yes, learning to use words can change a lot of things.

Saying something positive could always make people feeling well. Giving someone feedback, would really helps them to improve themselves, to get better on something. Sharing something thoughtfully could maybe change their ideas, even their life, so that in conclusion, that‘s how the world changes.

In the video, the women definitely showed us how powerful words can be. She’ve wrote out such a powerful message that helpes the blind man express his feelings, and how it would be like to be blind. Different words could express different feelings. I think the videos told us how powerful words can be and how it affect other people!
