Part 1
My inquiry question was How early human hunt and protect them self ?
What I learned today is that Early humans in East Africa used hammerstones to strike stone cores and produce sharp flakes. For more than 2 million years, early humans used these tools to cut, pound, crush, and access new foods—including meat from large animals. And that Long spears like this one were thrust into an animal, enabling our ancestors to hunt from a somewhat safer distance than was possible with earlier weapons. I also find out that there are Three wooden spears like the 400,000-year-old one illustrated here were found at Schöningen, Germany, along with stone tools and the butchered remains of more than 10 horses.

Part 2
An ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment.

Detritivore: earth worm, roly-polies and Millipedes.

This is for the Part 1

My inquiry question is: what did the early human eat? Is it easy to find the food that they need?
I found two important information about this question during the researching. The first important informations is: I found that early human eat different things at different times, so, I think it is roadblock, because I'm won't search all the information about what all the early human eat, but still, I learned that most of the early human probably ate vegetables and gathered seeds, fruits, nuts and other edible plants. Later, scientists speculate, meat was added to the diet as small animals were hunted. Eventually, humans hunted large animals.
The second important information is: Ancient humans used complex hunting techniques to ambush and kill antelopes, gazelles, wildebeest and other large animals at least two million years ago. So, I think the early human are very smart, they know how can they hunt.
Those are the two important information that I had found out.

What’s ecosystem means? It is all the animals and plants in a particular area and the way in which they are related to each other and to their environment. If our group needs to create an ecosystem. We will need to include these 4 things. The consumer; slugs and snails. The producers; plants, flowers, and grass. The detritivore; worms, billbugs, and beetles. The abiotic elements; water, soil, sand, dead leaves wood chips.

I learned that in order to let the organism grow healthy, we have to give them a good ecosystem.

My early humans inquiry question is, “How did early humans communicate and socialize with each other? How has their communication methods changed throughout evolution?” This question contains two parts. The first is to find all the early humans, and the second is to find each of their social methods. Consequently, I focused on finding all the early humans first. I found out that we evolved first from Australopithecus Afarensis, to Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homon Neanderthalensis, and lastly to Homo Sapiens. Now, I can see which communication method belongs to which stage of human evolution. The second thing I learned is that some early humans used smoke signals and cave paintings to communicate, though I’m still trying to figure out which ones.

It must meet the basic needs of the organism. On the other hand, each organism has their own job, even abiotic environments too! Here are examples of consumers, producers, détritivores, and abiotic elements of an ecosystem:
Consumers: slugs, snails, millipedes, centipedes, grasshoppers, treehoppers, leafhoppers, etc.
Producers: plants, flowers, trees, grass, etc.
Detritivores: beetles, pill-bugs, worms, etc.
Abiotic Elements: sand, soil, dead leaves, branches, wood chips, gravel, water, and even plastic can be in an environment!

My question was why is children's rights so important?
Two things I learned were that UNCRC stands for united nations convention rights of the child and almost all the countries signed it so it affects almost all the children.

Part 2
An ecosystem is a place where there are living things that interact with each other and it has their basic needs to live. The elements we categorized in out ecosystems are abiotics, consumers, producers and detrivores.

Part 1: My inquiry question is: How did the invention of fire affect early humans? I didn't get much notes today (only 9 notes), but I did learn a lot of information. I learned that early humans invented fire somewhere between 1.5 million years ago to 230,000 years ago. I also learned that the early humans used fire to forge tools to cut meat.

what they are: first of all let's start with abiotics they are stuff that are not alive. So stuff like leaves, rocks and dirt are all abiotics. Now you know what abiotics are, let's move on to consumers. Basically consumers are biotics(things that are alive) that don't get there food from the sun. For example Turtles (ARE AWESOME!) are consumers because they eat little animals and plants. Flamingos(ALSO AWESOME) and wolfs are also consumers because they don't get food from the sun. Part two: What is an ecosystem?

The groups were categorized as follows:
01.) Consumers: caterpillars, snails, frogs
02.) Detritivores; pill bugs (also called roly-polies), worms and centipedes/milipedes
03.) Producers: grass, plants, flowers
04.) Abiotic things: rocks, sticks/twigs and leaves

There are ecosystems everywhere if you look closely. An example of an ecosystem is the Earth, Earth is one big ecosystem with many small ecosystems inside. To the best of my knowing, an ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms, such as plants, rocks, and animals.
One main component of an ecosystem are biotic organisms. There are three categories that we learned, which are producers, consumers, and detritivores. An example of a producer is a flower, which get their food from the sun through photosynthesis. Examples of consumers include animals and humans, they both get their food from hunting. There is a small section inside of the consumer category called, detritivores. Detritivores, are animals or insects that eat dead things. An example of detritivores are worms, which live in the ground and eat decomposed bodies or plants.
Another vital factor of an ecosystem is abiotic organisms. An example of abiotic organisms is rocks. Rocks play a vital role because some animals may need rocks as their shelters. If the animal don’t have shelters they would get killed by predators. Another example of an abiotic organism is oxygen. If we didn’t have without oxygen, we would all die because we live on oxygen.
In conclusion, we cannot survive with out an ecosystem. The two important components of an ecosystem are abiotic and biotic organisms. If any of those components got taken out, the ecosystem would die.

Part one.

My inquiry question is what are the physical changes between the early humans and humans today? What I learned today about my topic is that I didn’t know that they also have something called “modern humans.” After researching a bit I found out that they were named “modern humans” because they were the most modern humans to us now. (Or at least I think xD). I also learned that modern humans have similar bones to humans today.

Part 2.

A ecosystem is a community of organisms. There are many type of ecosystem (ahem). Five things you need in a ecosystem or things we already have.
Consumers, producers, decomposers, carnivores, herbivores.
For comsumers you would need a type of animal. For decomposer you would need a insect such as a, worm, or a slug. For a producer, you would need plants, such as leaves, or grass for the insects, or animals to feed on.
(Sorry, I’m doing this kind of fast because I got to go somewhere :3)

My inquiry question is: "What's the main difference between Homo Floresiensis and human nowadays?"

Because I'm just finding some basic information today. So what I learned is that Homo Floresiensis is one of the species of early human and it was find by Asia around 50,000~100,00 years. It had been extinct around 120,000 years.

Inquiry:
My inquiry question was: "What nutrients do we need and how did we get them back then versus now?" I've learned that there are three types of fats: Unsaturated fats are good for your heart and are found in foods like liver, avocados and salmon. Saturated fats are like cheese and butter and increase the chance of getting heart disease. Lastly, trans fats are found in sweets and sugary foods and also increase the chance of heart disease. Next, I've learned that most people don't care about what nutrients they eat; most of us lack in vitamins A, C, D, E, calcium, potassium, fiber, and magnesium.

Ecosystem:
An ecosystem is basically a smaller type of biome. An ecosystem has both abiotic and biotic parts, and there are detritivores like worms and pillbugs that eat dead things. An ecosystem is a diverse habitat for many things. The groups we used today to categorize our ecosystems were consumers, producers, abiotic factors, and detritivores. A consumer is a biotic factor that eats food and doesn't make food. Some examples of these are cats, dogs, and pandas. A producer, on the other hand, is something that gets its food from the sun. Some examples are plants like sunflowers, trees, and grass. Abiotic factors are things that aren't alive. For example, rocks, sand, and sticks. Lastly, detritivores are animals that eat dead things. For example, crows, worms, and pillbugs. These are the different parts of an ecosystem.

PART ONE:
My inquiry is "How Did Slavery Start And Does It Still Exist?" I didn't really learn any direct questions, but I learned that the causes of slavery is war, debt, or sometimes when someone wants to sell their kids. I also learned that slavery started way before 1400, though I'm not sure exactly when.

PART 2:
Using my own words to define "ECOSYSTEM", I would say it's a community of living AND non-living things that help each other grow and live. The things that are needed in an ecosystem in order to sustain it is: consumers, producers, detritivores and abiotic. An example of each:
CONSUMER: Snail
PRODUCER: Mint Plant
DETRITIVORE: Earthworms
ABIOTIC: Water

My inquiry question is "How did humans evolve from apes?" Australopithecus afarensis evolved human-like hips that let them walk on two feet because it let them carry things — a useful way for collecting food on the different biome (Savanna), it let them to do things easier. Paranthropus robustus had a powerful jaw and big teeth for chewing the tough foods in their dry environment. Australopithecus boisei – the first hominin who make the first stone tools they make life easier.

Ecology, is the study of ecosystem, ecosystem is a community of organisms, biotic, abiotic. In the ecosystem, there are consumer, producer, detritivore and a biotic.

Consumer=snails, bugs, insects……
Producer=grass, plants……
Detritivore=worms and tiny bugs……
Abiotic=dirt, soil, water……

My question was “What was the purpose ancient cave paintings?”
I learned quite a bit actually. The things that I learned is that the complete purpose is unknown but from infrences I can make based off of what I have found out, I learned that they could’ve had many purposes. One of them being, they could’ve been used for communication purposes.

1. My question is what triggered Hitler to murder the Jewish population and how did the world react to this? I didn’t research this question today because a teacher told me to research why the UN created. Two things I found out was that the UN was created on October 24 1945 and that the UN document could be used to solve problems in peaceful ways.

2. An ecosystem is a community of organisms that depend on each other to live. In our groups we sorted what we needed in this ecosystem into four categories. Abiotic factors, consumers, producers, detritivores. Some example of abiotic factors are rocks, soil, and water. Some examples of consumers are Racoons, Squirrels, and Bears. Part one:
Today we were assigned our question and knowlege building circle. My question was "what laws in canada make LGBTQ+ legal?" From doing a slight bit of reasearch I learned that LGBTQ+ is actully LGBTQQIAAP. LGBTQQIAAP stands for.....
L - lesbian: a woman who is attracted to other women
G - gay: a man who is attracted to other men or broadly people who identify as homosexual
B - bisexual: a person who is attracted to both men and women
T - transgender: a person whose gender identity is different from the sex the doctor put down on their birth certificate
Q - queer: formerly used as a hate term, some people want to reclaim the word, while others find it offensive. It can be a political statement, suggest that someone doesn't want to identify with "binaries" (e.g. male v female, homosexual v straight) or that they don't want to label themselves only by their sexual activity
Q - questioning: a person who is still exploring their sexuality or gender identity
I - intersex: a person whose body is not definitively male or female. This may be because they have chromosomes which are not XX or XY or because their genitals or reproductive organs are not considered "standard"
A - allies: a person who identifies as straight but supports people in the LGBTQQIAAP community
A - asexual: a person who is not attracted in a sexual way to people of any gender
P - pansexual: a person whose sexual attraction is not based on gender and may themselves be fluid when it comes to gender or sexual identity
I also learned that LGBTQ hasn't been a big talk until a mass shooting in Orlando during Gay pride week. This lead to many politics globally starting to pay more attention to the LGBTQ+ community.

Part two:
An association of organisms benefiting from each other. An ecosystem has many elements, including detrivores, abiotic factors, biotic factors, consumers, and producers. All the organisms depend on each other.

Detrivores: pillbugs, millipedes, earthworms
Abiotic factors: pebbles, wood chips, dirt
Consumers: snails, slugs, raccoon
Producer: grass, plants, trees

Part #1
Today we started our new social studies project on Human Rights and this apply’s to all the 30 articales that are about what human rights we have and the question that I started to research on is WHAT MAKES WORKERS RIGHTS SO IMPORTANT?
And the things I found most interesting today during my research were
- workers get monthly payments or checks for there work that they do almost everyday!
- the minimum payment for a single person a month is $1000 at least at most $70,000

Our new ecosystems project is coming along nicely and we have arranged all the items everyone is going to bring tomorrow and also we have a drawing of what and where we need to put certain things like rocks,soil,plants and bugs!
And the categories we used to make our ecosystem are Detretivor, Aboitic, comsumer and producer!
