Random Pop Art

Thank you to the UBC Enspire group who volunteered their time to teach you more entrepreneurial skills today! We learned about marketing and media today! We will work on the new challenge later in the week. Today, students continued learning about fractions and using a variety of strategies to add fractions with unlike denominators. In ART, students learned how to document their self-assessments, peer assessments, and other feedback. This is a major learning intention of the pop art assignment.
IMPORTANT:
1.) FIELD TRIP: Return forms ASAP.

LEARNING PLANNER:
1.) READING: 30 minutes

2.) ART:

Most students are finishing up their third drafts. Be sure to complete your feedback sheets up to your second draft.
Due Friday

3.) MATH: Complete adding fractions with unlike denominators booklet.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

LEARNING INTENTION: I can explain what I learned in 'ENSPIRE' today about marketing and media!
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) PARAGRAPH FORMAT: intro/body/ conclusion.
2.) GIVENS: Pay close attention to your spelling, capitals, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, etc.
3.) INTRO: Make it as exciting and engaging as possible.
4.) BODY: Include at least 2-3 supporting details from today's lesson. Provide details!
5.) CONCLUSION: Tie up your paragraph smoothly.
6.) PEER FEEDBACK/SELF-ASSESSMENT: Give 1 student 2 things to improve on based on the above criteria.
7.) REVISED VERSION: Based on the feedback you receive or the self-assessment you complete, post a revised version as a reply to your original post.

Today in Enspire I learned the 4 principles that you have to follow while making an advertisement. The first one was colours. In an advertisement you should only have 3 or 4 colours that match each othere or in the same palette. The second one is fonts. Like colours you should only have a few. the third one is samness. For example, if you put a picture of legos than you would have to make them about the same size. I think there was a few more elements, but I forgot about them. In this Enspire program, I learned a lot of things but my favourite thing that I learned about is this.

Marketing is more than just saying "Hey, come purchase this!", there's a much deeper meaning.

Today the Enspire program taught us about marketing and media in class. One thing I learned is the Big 6 principles of marketing and media. One of them is contrast. I also learned about a Tide ad and engaging advertisements. I am looking forward to more Enspire workshops.

the 1 of the steps is color you cannot do a post and do not have color malady will by interested on the product, the 2 step is contacting, the 3 step is to engaging people so they can buy your product more easily ,the 4 step is buy-in something interesting like computers water prove shoes... there are many interesting things to buy.

Today, Enspire taught us the skills of marketing and media in our class. They taught me many useful tips for ads and how making the ad engaging will make the viewer more interested at the product the ad is selling!

Today we had some guests from UBC to teach us about marketing and advertisement. You may think it just means advertisers telling you to buy this and that, but it is more than that. There were four principles of making a good advertisement. The first principle is colours. You should only have a few colours that match each other or it will look weird. The second principle is words. Like colours, you should only have a few different fonts or it will be hard for people to read. The third one is space, you should leave some places blank sometimes, it could make it look better. The last principle is sameness, if you have two shapes on opposite sides, you can use the same size or shape.

Today in class we learned marketing and media with div.2
I learned the 3 principles that you have to follow when you are making a advertisement or brand logo. The first rule is colour because a plain logo or advertisement is very boring. The second rule is font's but not many or it will just be to many varieties and will look bad. The third one is sameness. Sameness means a synonym of a word. there is a 4th principle but I do not remember.

That is what I learned at the enspire program today!

Marketing is really important when it comes to selling a product. It's what gets people to want to buy it! That is what we learnt about in the Enspire program today. Something you should take in mind when making an advertisement is colour, sameness, and space. In the piece of media the colours should match with each other, one main color (with lighter and darker variations) and a contrast colour would be ideal. Sameness means that what you put in the advertisement should be related to each other and have a same style. Lastly, space is placing the elements at a good distance from each other. Another thing that's important in marketing is making it interesting and unique. In the Tide ad we saw, it trended on social media because it turned every ad into a Tide one!

I think what we learned today was interesting and I'm excited for the next one.

Today, in the Enspire program, we learnt about marketing and media. Marketing is really important when it comes to selling a product. It's what gets people to want to buy it! In an advertisement, the colours, sameness, and space are key parts in making it look pleasing. The colours should match with each other, the elements should be related to each other and have a same style, and everything should be spaced out nicely. Another thing that's important in marketing, that we learnt, is making it interesting and unique. In the Tide ad we saw, it contains short parodies of classic ads you would see and turned in into a Tide ad by pointing out that their clothes were always clean. It quickly trended on social media. I think that was a really good idea because a lot of people saw it and all Tide did was make a quick ad.

In conclusion, what we learnt today about marketing was really interesting. I'm excited for the next one in December.

today somepeople from ubc came and teach us about marketing and media i thought that itw would just be avout ads because marketing means selling stuff and media means communication i thought we were going to just look at ads thew hole time sadn it would be boring but we didnt we learned about what makes a good ad there was the 4 princeples of design da . theres contrast words space sameness. contrast mean tht ther are not to many colurs and that they fit together well. word mean that there is not many ofnts so not confuse people. space mean that there needs to be sapace to objects because space mite make the ad look better. sameness baciaclly means be consistent. i learn lots at the enspire program today.

Today, some people from UBC came and taught us about "Marketing and Media". I thought that it would just be about ads and that we would just be watching ads for the whole period and talk about what was good and what was bad. I thought that because marketing means selling stuff and media means communication, but we didn't do that. We learned about what makes a good ad, and we were introduced to the four principles of design. There was contrast, words, space, and sameness. Contrast means that there shouldn't be too many colours or else it will be confusing. The colours also have to fit together well. Words means that there aren't too many fonts so it doesn't confuse the person looking at the ad. Space means that there needs to be space in the ad because space might make the ad look better. Sameness just means be consistent with so it doesn't look like too much is going on. I learned lots at the Enspire program today.

Today, we had our second Enspire workshop. It was about marketing and media! I learned that there are different marketing strategies that companies use to attract potential customers. For example, humor (Tide ad) and using well-known characters that will grab viewers' attention (like Darth Vader). I also learned about design elements like using contrasting colours (red + green, blue + orange, etc.) to create more eye-catching ads.

Marketing and Media is a part of entrepreneurship for advertisement of your product or your company! Making it engaging and making a good layout for an advertisement is important because people will be more interested on what you are selling if it is engaging and creative!

Want to sell a product? If so, this paragraph is just for you to read. Marketing is the key to being able to sell things. Today, at our 2nd Enspire workshop, we learnt all about marketing and media. To market good, you have to make sure your poster includes same or similar colours and fonts, so they won't clash. Also, sameness is important. It does not have to be symmetrical, but to make sure the spacing makes sense is important. These are just a few of the many tips to market well!

Today three people from UBC came to our classroom to teach us about marketing and media. I learned that to make a good advertisement you have to have good fonts, same colours and a good layout. You have to make it exciting so people would want to buy the product. In class we had to make our own little PowerPoint page and tried to make it so people would want to buy the product. Those were some of the things I learned in enspire.

From what I recall, the Enspire program taught us about the 4 principals of advertisement. They showed us what would be a good example of a good advertisement and what would not.

In the activity we did, we had to make a Lego advertising poster digitally using the 4 principals of advertisement. Colour, spacing, fonts, and similarity.

Overall I think this was a fun and rather enjoyable learning experience.
