Today, we were lucky to be able to have Eric Walters visit our school to give his book talks to us in the library. He was interesting, entertaining, and made everyone laugh many times. For more information on Eric Walters and his books, click here. Also, ifyou get the chance, watch his TEDTALK.

1.) LANGUAGE ARTS:

Complete your weekly word work and prepare for the quiz tomorrow.
This includes your word analysis, definitions in your own words, and sentences.

2.) POST A RESPONSE:

Using at least 10 words from your weekly words and write a short story in paragraph form. Each sentence should have some connection to your story. The sentences should be related.
Give one student your opinion about their story and offer a suggestion.
Take the feedback you receive and edit/revise your original response.

One exquisite day Bob the builder woke up unconsciously because one of his tools fell from the thatch and knocked him out. He then proceeded to walk out side for nice morning walk down the street. While Bob was walking down the street he thought he was day dreaming because he saw thickets near a dragon and it was eating the fronds off the palm tree. He thought that seemed really skeptical. He then ran all the way to a convenience to purchase the legendary fidget spinner to defeat the dragon. On his way back he fidgeted with his legendary fidget spinner, it fascinated him how it spun so fast! Bob got closer and closer to the dragon until it was time to strike, he jumped in the air and sliced the dragons head off with the legendary fidget spinner! Bob felt courageous after that battle. He then convinced himself to go to the ravine where the most ferocious dragons are. On the way there he got hit by a windfall and that knocked his head off. THE END (First to Post A Response Yay! Once upon a time there lived a young boy who lived in Africa; named Aleraga. He lived in a small cabin with an broken thatch, near the rivers on a flat land. His parents were abusive and were cruel. One time, Aleraga tried to run away but slipped and almost fell into a ravine. He saw his parents, who then slided him back home. His parents were so mad, they kept him inside of their cabin for 6 years. However, his parents didn't know their son was very courageous and willing to try risks. However, one day the boy decided that it was enough; he wanted freedom. While his parents were outside hunting, Aleraga opened the door and ran vigorously away from his home. After 12 hours, Aleraga was exhausted and hungry as he didn't eat anything in 12 hours. He was always fidgeting and accepting his death. However, even from his dry eyes he could make out an farm shaped house with a lot of thickets nearby. Aleraga was skeptical and thought it was a hallucination. However, he heard a sound that he thought was from a sheep. He ignored it but the same sound came again. He now knew it wasn't his mind, and was filled with pation. Aleraga tried to locate the derection the sound and it seemed to becoming from the west; he saw the same barn. His heart pounded rapidly and somehow had the pation to run again. He sprinted towards the farm and saw cows, sheeps, and some pigs. Aleraga knew there had to be someone there as the animals were surprisingly healthy. He saw the farmer and the farmer looked back. He took a step back but the farmer told him to come. Since he was young, he trusted the farmer and fourtinatly, he was friendly. The farmer gave him a deal that if he helped around the farm, he would be able to live here. Aleraga accepted the deal and they lived happily together.

So there's this renowned thatch inside of a ravine that everyone has being talking about for the past month. Why everyone was fascinated was that it was very exquisitely made. It had bunches fronds on top of it and a spots of small thickets inside of it. It was very vigorous. There seem to be people living near it and it seems like they hit a windfall for them because of the many tourist coming buying souvenirs and whatever. But I sort of felt skeptical because this thatch suddenly appeared out of no where. But whatever because our economy is better now I guess.

One day I was taking a walk in an exquisite park. When I passed by the ravine, I heard some mewling noises. I was really skeptical at first, but as I stood there I decided that whatever made that noise needed help. Therefore I courageously climbed down the rocky ravine. As I climbed down to the bottom, the mewling noises kept getting louder. At the bottom of the ravine, I decided that the noises were coming from some thickets of ferns. When I pushed back the fronds, I saw a broken thatch covering a hole in the ground. When I brushed away the pieces of the thatch, I saw a rainbow ladder. I stared fascinated by the beautiful rainbow ladder. I then shook my head vigorously to see if I were dreaming or not. Since the rainbow ladder stayed the same, I decided to climb down the ladder. At the bottom I took a couple minutes to let my eyes adjust to the darkness. When I could finally see, I couldn’t believe it! I was hearing an impeccable tiny kitten. Then I solemnly took the kitten back to my house. In the end my mother let me keep the kitten after I promised to take care of it no matter what.

There was this one day a girl named Lauren was unconscious the time she woke up. She went to the bathroom to take some painkillers and later on she felt better. Lauren got very bored that day and had nothing to do. She then saw an exquisite dress in her closet and wanted to try it on, so she did. After putting it on, she was fascinated, it was really pretty. She fidgeted with the rims of the dress because she thought it was skeptical to put lines of paper on the rim. Later in the day Lauren decided to go to a ravine to take a walk. Even she thought it was a stupid idea to go down there but she just went with it. While walking she felt courageous, positive thoughts and vibes and impeccable. But when she got to the ravine, she felt like she was retching already. "Never mind those positive vibes...." Lauren thought. She saw thatches and thickets everywhere. Not even a meter in the ravine it was dark, so she decided to go home. THE END.
(It's really bad, I had no ideas so yea.)

These are harder to connect this time...

Teresa dashed into the thickets. Fascinated by the sight before her. It was a terribly strange tree. With purple fronds, instead of green, and rainbow fruit. Unconsciously she smiled, thinking of what a windfall the fruit might be if she could sell them. "Better make sure they tasted good though", she thought as she yanked one of the fruit off vigorously. Teresa fidgeted, a bit skeptical. What if the rainbow mango-like object poisoned her? "Oh well", she thought, biting into the fruit, "Think of all the money I could earn". The fruit was a perfect mixture of tangy and sweet. "It's exquisite!" she said to no-one in particular. She ran down the stairs in the ravine to go tell her best friend Thomas, they could split the earnings. But the minute she reached the bottom she started to feel sick. She started retching uncontrollably. The fruit was poisonous after all. "Although, to be honest" Teresa thought once she had finished vomiting. "The buyers don't have to know that" she concluded, smirking and making her way to Thomas's cabin.

Monkeys climbed trees into the thickets. They were skeptical and fascinated of what they saw. Guess what? They found a new home. It was exquisite. They unexpected it to be there. Then it was time for them to go hunting. Fronds covered the sky. One of them were unconsious, and left the group alone. The rest of them ventured into the ravine forest. They found a pig that they could hunt. They were really vigorous since they started to get hungry...

One day, the very exquisite Kim Kardashian went on a trip to the thickets. There was also a ravine with lots of fronds and thatch and windfall from the trees dangling over the ravine. She was vigorously fidgeting around, feeling courageous. Then she fell down the ravine and went unconscious and died.

There once was a very courageous monkey named Noah. Not only Noah was courageous, he was also very impeccable. Noah was able to climb into thickets of trees very vigorously. Many female monkeys were fascinated by Noah's amazing skill. In Noah's town (Monkey Town), Noah was very renowned. One day, a very exquisite female monkey came up to him. Her name is Teresa. Noah and Teresa became friends very quickly. One day when they were climbing tree branches, Teresa fell into a ravine! Noah tried to rescued her, but it was too late! Teresa didn't die but she did feel very unconscious. The moment happened very solemnly.

People say that when a person enters the so called "vigorous" ravine, they never came back. Or at least, never alive. The rumour was renowned. But a courageous young woman decided to break that rumour. Once she announced she was going in, people thought she was crazy, yet fascinated on how brave she was. The day she entered the ravine, jewels surrounded her. Each the most exquisite and impeccable. She touched the purple one out of curiosity. There was a retching feeling inside her. Skeptical, she touched it once again. The feeling came back. But she pressed on it even harder. She flew back and was knocked unconscious against the cold, hard stone wall.
But before she closed her eyes, she saw the purple gem glow... Along with the others illuminating the whole dark crevice. Slowly revealing a small cottage caved into the stone wall, hiding within the thickets. Slowly, the drowsiness took over her body, making her feel numb. She soon closed her eyes in contentment, not aware of the shadow that had befallen on her.

James lived under this renowed and exquisite thatch building. A lot of people are fascinated by the thatch and they would hide in the thickets beside a lot of plants that grows frond that are near Jame's house, but James doesn't like people watching him. So one day he ran out vigorously towards the thatch and he chased the people down a ravine.He caught one that became unconscious from running.James wants to punish him, but he can't because this person solemnly sweared that he was just passing by.

“ Miss Bowen For Heaven's Sake WAKE UP!!!” shrieked Mr. Johnson,My math teacher.Great, I had unconsciously dozed off...again.I fidgeted ,mr. Johnson was quite a ferocious teacher. He was renowned for screaming and harming innocent students at McDonald Middle School. Oh , sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Amy Bowen and for some reason I'm always tired. Maybe it's because I'm up by 2 in the morning texting with my friends. Whatever.Anyways I'm 11 years old and I'm a student at McDonald Middle School. I’m a regular student ,there was nothing special about me. I have 3 friends,I’m fascinated by cats, dogs, fish or any other animal. Me and my friends like to hang out in a clubhouse with a thatched roof. I'm average height, And I'm a spectacle sight.For some reason my hair is brown during the spring, blond in the summer, red in the fall,and silver in the winter. Don't ask me how that happened, it just does.Anyways back to my “adventure”with my shrieking,raging teacher. “I'm keeping an eye on you, If I see you doze off again…” I solemnly nodded.He left the sentence unfinished. “okay back to work, I'm going to teach you losers how to multiply fractions....” He said. great back to the boring math lesson. Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I once saw a lion kill someone at the zoo. It was a horrifying sight. It made me retch everyday for,like a week. anyway…”MISS.BOWEN!!!!!!@#!!!1****8!”Uh oh I dozed off again. Courageously,I looked up. His face was FLAMING with ANGER!!!!!!!”I warned you” he growled, as he vigorously picked me up and me TOSSED me out the window!!!!!

What horrible things will happen to Amy? You’ll have to find out. Wait until next week for the next little bit and you’ll be a bit closer to the most terrifying section of ALL!!!!

Once upon a time ,there is a movie called 'The dangerous ravine ',this movie is about there are some young boys go and want to do a challenge if they can finish walking it ,but during they are walking it ,two boys were retching .But at last ,they can finish it vigorously.The people were fascinated to the movie .After that ,a very courageous man who is a renowned scientist was fidgeted because of the deep ravine .He is also feeling unconsciously if he can finish it.
When he arrived there ,he saw a lot of fronds and thickets .He try his best to finished it ,luckily,he can finished it at last

the start to this story is one man who was struck with good luck in other words windfall. next this man was very courageous, vigorous and renowned. this man was fascinated with his good luck that he went to a ravine and followed it wich lead him to a cliff where there was an exquisite dancer. then he walked away and found a man who was retching and he was very spectacle. he approached him and only to fidget withe the man who was retching.
