FRIDAY: PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Today, the students learned about the food chain. They learned about producers and the process of photosynthesis. They learned about the non-living parts of the environment that help keep the cycle of life going. Plants need carbon dioxide and humans need oxygen. Plants obtain their nutrients from the sun, soil, and water. They also provide us with oxygen and food which we cannot live without.

LEARNING INTENTIONS: To understand and be able to explain in my own words, the importance and the process of photosynthesis.

1.) LA:

Continue working on your passion paragraphs. All 3 paragraphs must be completed by Monday (First draft)
Follow the criteria for writing paragraphs that you have been working on this week.
Complete your first drafts on your Google Drive document.

2.) MATH 6: Pg 80 Qu.2, 4, and 5. Pg 84 2a, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Due for Monday. Watch this video on prime factorization.
MATH 7: Any assigned work.

3.) SOAPSTONE ART:

Starts next week so be sure to bring all your materials - apron or old t-shirt, toothbrush, rubber gloves, and a plastic bag to store all your materials.

If you are one of the students who hasn't returned their permission form, be sure to have your parents write a short letter to me giving you permission.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

Watch this video to review what you learned today.
In your own words, describe the process of photosynthesis using the scientific terms you learned in class today.
Be sure to use words such as chlorophyl, photosynthesis, oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, water, etc.
BONUS: Create a video that demonstrates the process of photosynthesis and post a link here.

Photosynthesis is when a plant takes in sunlight from the sun, H2O (water) from the roots in the ground, co2 from humans breathing out carbon dioxide and nutrients from sun and water. Chlorophyl is what makes the plants green from the ground.

Photosynthesis is when a plant takes sunlight from the sun and takes H20(Water) from the ground which has dew or rain on CO2(carbon dioxide) when humans breath it out and the leaves on the plant soak in the CO2 and gets nutrients from the water and sun. Chlorophyll is what makes the plants green. after, the plant produces 02(oxygen) for us to breath in order for us to live

photosyntheses is a way that plants make their own food. the plant takes in sunlight through its leaves then uses clorophyl to produce its food. its produces 6h2o12. plants also produce oxygen and take in co2

Photosynthesis is when plants gather co2 from us (humans) then they make o2. Using the sun and co2 they can grow and make fruits and veggies for us to eat. To produse suger witch is also none as c6h12o6, Suger is food for them. A photosynthesis is part of the ecosystem. Photosynthesis is when the sun hits the plant and then the plant uses co2 the stuff we breath out and they breath out o2.

Photosynthesis is the growth system of a plant. Firstly, the plant get nutrients from the sun. Then the rain falls down and makes H₂O so the plant get absorb it from the soil. Next, the plant receives chlorophyll from the sun to make itself green and to produce it's food (sugar =6h2o12) and o2 which is oxygen for us, humans. Then it restarts the whole process later on.

photosynthesis is when sunlight is absorbed through the pores of the leaves of trees turning it into sugar (c6h1206) and produces oxygen which we breath in and breath out carbon dioxide and is once again is absorbed through the pores. also they need water to keep hydrated like us.

Photosynthesis is when plants make their own food. The plants get water and nutrients from the soil. Leaves take in CO2 through tiny holes in the leaves called stomata and also absorb sunlight to produce their own food and release O2. Chlorophyl makes the plants green and chloroplasts are tiny cells in leaves that do all the hard work in photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is a plant that takes h2O (water) from the sunlight and soil. Leaves also take CO2. Chlorophly makes the plant and grass green. Chloroplast are cells in the leaves. Photosynthesis is part of our ecosystem and environment.

Photosynthesis is the growing process of a plant. So the plant takes the nutrients from humans for carbon dioxide and then the plants breath out oxygen for us. The plant then regains more nutrients from the sun and water because they make the plant grow and stay healthy.

Plants absorb CO2 through their leaves. They can do this because the carbon dioxide enters the cells of the leaf through the stomata, on the underside of the leaf's surface.

Xylem is the part of the plant that allows for water to be absorbed from the roots and into the other parts of the plant.

Photosynthesis is the process of the growing plant. The roots take in H2O and nutrients that are in the soil. Plants take in CO2 that we breath out and they give us O2 that we need to breath in. They also absorb sunlight into their leaves to crate food.

The process that a plant goes through in order to grow. When we breath out, it gives out carbon dioxide to plants. The plants take in carbon dioxide and they let out oxygen for us to breath from. Plants need sunlight, soil, and H2O to live and survive. Some plants need specific types of soil.

I only know this from books and movies. Hopefully I can redo my response once I have learned what all you have learned!

photosynthesis is when a plant takes the sunlight, h20 and air/carbon dioxide and turns it into food (A.K.A) C6H12O6. C6H12O6 is something like a sugar based type of food that plants produce to eat. Chlorophyll is something that is inside the plant which makes the plant turn green. Without chlorophyll who knows what colour plants could be!

Photosynthesis is the balance of how plants grow and helps us live. We give it 2 things to help it. Water(H2O) and Carbon Dioxide(CO2). Then the sun gives it Sunlight to help it feed. If the plant doesn't get any sunlight its not going to get its nutrients like us. Then the plants gives us Sugar(C6H12O6) and Oxygen(6O2). Soil is also what it needs so it can be fed by its roots.

light(energy from the sun) comes to us and the plants absorb it. The plants get food/ nutrients from the dirt/soil, h2o and carbon dioxide from us humans (we breath it out and they produce oxygen) to make their own food they call this process photosynthesis.
