To hone our writing skills, we practiced identifying and using transition words. Students also enthusiastically brainstormed adjectives to describe their names.
Continuing with the Five Kingdoms Science Project, we discussed key elements of visual design for posters, and used the C.R.A.A.P. reliability test to evaluate websites.
During clean up time, it was fantastic to see certain students taking extra responsibility for the condition of the classroom without being asked. Props to SpongeBob (sweeping), the Overseeker (fixing improperly stacked chairs), and others who helped! It would be great to see everyone taking ownership of our classroom environment!
- Take into account any peer feedback that was given
- Add or change transition words to make your paragraph more fluent
- Post BOTH your original paragraph AND revised paragraph in your response.
- For homework, finish the 2 C.R.A.A.P. tests given in class. Feel free to evaluate a video, book, or other source for one of your C.R.A.A.P tests!
- Finding more RELIABLE websites for information and images
- Keeping track of the website URL for ALL information and images that you use
- Drawing/creating your own images for each of the 5 kingdoms
