Share kindness!

Today was a very productive day for the students! They started the day with their first hiphop dance class. They learned about the 'b-boy stance' and learned how to do various other dance moves. We are excited to see what they put together for us on Thursday! They continued reviewing math facts today. We will continue for this week and start the new curriculum next week. Students who want to challenge themselves with the Gr. 8 math course can write an assessment on Thursday. During lunch, students listed to the read aloud on the book, "Ground Zero." Students did some school grounds clean up today and then ended the day with music class.

IMPORTANT:
1.) Check the website on a daily basis and follow all instructions.

PLANNER:
1.) MATH: Complete booklet. We will mark it in class tomorrow.

2.) READING: Read for at least 20 minutes.

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

LEARNING INTENTION: I can explain what the big idea of the posted video is all about!
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) PARAGRAPH FORMAT (Intro/body/conclusion)
2.) GIVENS: Pay attention to your spelling, capitals, punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar!
3.) Watch the Kindness Boomerang video.

This video is about kindness and how it can come back to you. If you help somebody you can be helped back too. If you lend a friend a pencil when they need one then they'll be more kind and will lend you things back. The world would be better if everybody helps each other.

The video above shows/reminds us that kindness is highly contagious and can make a big difference on anyone's future. For example, it only took that construction worker, one kind deed that inspired the boy to do other kind things. So on, people did kind deeds everywhere they went. That's how kindness works, everywhere around you. In conclusion, the BIG IDEA is to do kind deeds everywhere you go. It doesn't just help the person, it feels good too.

That includes saying, "that looks great" or "you're doing great" to your classmates and people both inside of school and also outside. If you see someone that needs help you can find a way to help them. Just being kind helps the world bit by bit and lucky for us it is easy!

The main idea of this video is about spreading kindness. First this person helped a boy up after falling off his skateboard, then the boy decided to help another person with her groceries. The kindness loop goes on and on until it comes back to the person who started the loop. Overall the video is to demonstrate how kindness can effect a lot of people and spread anywhere, anytime.

I think that the big idea of the video is that one small act of kindness can go a long way, and it will always come back to you, just like a boomerang. When you are kind to someone, it improves their mood; then they will want to share that happiness with others by returning the kind action to another person. A small gesture of kindness may seem insignificant, but it can make so many people's day infinitely better.

I think that this video shows everyone passing the kindness forward. They are all doing a small deed that can highlight someone's day. In return, they pass it forward and it eventually comes back to the man who started the cycle. That's why the video is called "Kindness Boomerang" since it comes back to you, just like a boomerang. This shows that by doing something so simple as helping someone cross the road or simply just giving them a compliment can make the world a better place.

Today, I was instructed to watch a video about kindness. I believe that the Big Idea- the main point of the media- was that kindness is contagious and can spread far and wide. Even if the original deed doesn't seem all too world-changing, it can quickly become something that encourages a great amount of people to help others in need. The reason I think this is because of the contents of the video. Here's how the story went: a construction worker helped a kid who was hurt. Their kind deed caused the kid to also help someone with their struggles, and their help caused the next person to be kind to another, and it spiralled into a chain of kindness that eventually led back to the contruction worker. The video shows a wonderful example of how exactly kindness can spread around the community. I also think the video is trying to tell us that a potiential kind action we take can lead to awesome events like this too, so we should always be kind and help people that need it!

The main idea of this video is how a small act of kindness can spread around the word, that it is infectious. As shown in the video, a man helps a boy up after he falls, and the boy was so thankful for that act he decided he would be kind himself. So he helped an old lady bring some of her groceries across the street, and people keep helping each other. Another idea is how that when you do an act of kindness, it will always come back to you. Like in the end when the waitress got a cup of water for the man who helped the boy up in the beginning. Be kind then others will be as well, as kindness is infectious.

I think the main idea of the video is to remind everyone that if you be kind to everyone you meet, it will spread to many people in the world and make it a better place. In the video, the construction worker helped the kid get his things, and the kindness continued with other people helping each other until the video ends and the kindness is returned back to the construction worker, when he gets a glass of water. If everyone was nice to each other, the world would become a much better place.

I think the main idea of this video was to show that kindness is contagious when one person is kind to another that person changes to be kind to another and the cycle repeats. kindness is able to share itself with everyone

The big idea of the video is about being kind. In it, a guy with an orange vest helps a kid then the kid helps an old woman and it goes on until the kindness goes all the way back to the orange vest guy. What that means is if you are kind to someone then it will go back to you, like a boomerang. Which is in reference to the title of the video.

This video is about how you can show kindness, and little kindness can change someone's entire day or even life. Kindness is like a cycle, the man show kindness to others and then other people showed kindness back to him. my grandma once showed kindness to a teenager, and twenty years later, the teenager came back and thanked her for being kind to him ,and her action had change his life. ( sorry for the late hand-in)

Kindness is good. I will explain the big idea of the video of kindness.

Kindness is contagious. Every time you make a kind action, you inspire others to do the same. At the end of the video, it says kindness keeps the world afloat. This might be the big idea since most videos like to put the big idea at the end.

In conclusion, I think that because the video says kindness keeps the world afloat, I think this is the big idea.

(Fun fact: did you know researchers found out that if a depressed person helps another or and spreads kindness in some sort of way it makes them feel good about themselves and they get happier??)
