The holiday wreaths are coming together!

Today, students responded to feedback and improved on their holiday wreaths. Students realized they needed to add to their cedar bunches to make them look fuller. They used a variety of different wires to attach them to their coat hangers. The difference was clear to the students and it made their wreaths look amazing! Good work everyone! You responded to feedback and improved on your work!

IMPORTANT:
1.) Bring any decorations you want to put on your wreaths tomorrow. What we have in class will not be enough for 60 students.
2.) If you have your Secret Santa gift ready, bring it as soon as possbile and you can leave it under our class tree.

Today, you all worked on improving the look of your holiday wreaths.
Write a standard paragraph.
Explain how you improved on your wreath today based on feedback you received.
Everyone must give one other student feedback on their paragraphs. Feedback must be based on paragraph structure of the givens (spelling, grammar, sentence structure, capitals, and punctuation).
Edit/revise based on the feedback.

I think I have barely reach the learning intention. I should say, "I can make a holiday wreath by myself." If you ask me is this challenge to me. I will say it is absolutely right. At first, I expect this DIY project will be "A piece of cake". However, my wreath can prove me wrong. In the beginning, I want to make a special wreath and not just a circle. I have tried different way to make different shapes of wreath. Finally, I chose to make a star shape of wreath. Actually, it is quite hard to make a star shape by using my tiny hands. I finally used a scissors to make a barely star shape.

When I am making the branches and leaves to be the same size as I want it to, it is the most challenging part to me. First, branches can't fit the shape. Second, the metal hangers weren't covered by the leaves. Third, some of the leaves and branches are really pointy and sharp. So, my fingers are really hurt and, it is painful.

When I compare my wreath on Friday and the one today. I surely improved. My wreath looks are thicker, and more beautiful. I really have to thank Mr. Hong for giving me feedback and ideas. If Mr. Hong and Mr. Fisher are not here. I shouldn't have improve.

"The thicker the better!" -Mr. Hong. Yup, agreed. If your wreath is really thin then it won't look as nice. But that wasn't really a problem for me though. The only thing I needed to do was thicken up the bottom and hide the coat hanger a bit and then I was done. I completed my wreath by following Mr. Hong's feedback and then trimmed it a bit because I thought it looked a bit untidy. That is how I improved my wreath!

I added on the wreath making by putting some thick layers to keep it stable and better. I also added wires to keep it from falling. Doing so was a lot of fun and would make you feel the spirit of Christmas.

MORE!!!! MORE!!! MORE!!! more branches!. Mr.Hong says. More branches will make your wreath look good. I improved by self-assessments because no one gave me feedback. What I did is I trimmed it a little. because my branches were sticking out.I guess feedback from my self can be useful too!

I think you need quotation marks for anything anybody says in your paragraph. This is because you can't exactly tell apart what you are thinking and what Mr.Hong is saying. The second last sentence is fragmented; it's too short. You should make it longer, I guess. Myself is one word and not two. Please fix that in your last sentence!

First of all, I needed to make three bundles of cedar boughs but I miscalculated how much I needed and came up short for one of them. "This one can be a bit thicker", he said. I took his feedback and used it to make my bundles thicker.

First, my wreath just looked like a stretched-out hanger with a couple of cedar branches. After I showed it to Mr. Hong, he told me to make to add more branches to make it thicker. I showed it to Mr. Hong after I added a couple of more branches, he told me to add more branches to make it much thicker. Eventually, my wreath finally looked like a wreath, and Mr. Hong told me I should trim it a bit because it was messy, and the ends of the branches were sticking out and the leaves were all sticking out.

In conclusion after I received feedback from Mr. Hong my wreath looked much better.

I improved on my weath by getting feedback from MR. Hong.I rewiered the wreath to use less Wire. I also made the top of the wreath thicker.

I never made a wreath before. First time I did it wrong. Then I get feedback from Mr.Hong. He said make bundles of leaves and tied the leaves. So I try to make it in a diamond shape. This feedback I got from Mr.Hong.

Oh My! This wreath is as thick as Mr. Fishers' beard! "It has to be thicker," says Mr. Hong. Thicker? Are you kidding me?

When I first started my wreath, it looked like this: ----. Very thin and flimsy. Mr. Hong told me it that it had to be thicker. So, I muiltiplied the thickness by five, and asked Mr. Hong if it was okay. When he saw it, you know what he said? THICKER! IT HAS TO BE THICKER!! I was confused. It was already as thick as Mr. Fishers' beard. He wants it even thicker? Whatever, I thought. I decided to make it a lot more thicker. After my wreath recieved a thickening treatment, I presented it to Mr. Hong, and he said THICKER! IT'S NOT THICK ENOUGH!!

Unfortunately, it was time for music, and my wreath wasn't exactly a wreath. NExt art class, I will finish my wreath and make it thicker and actually look like a wreath, not a toothpick.

First of all, let me just say that making a wreath is harder than I thought it was. When I first started my wreath, it couldn't look any worse than than that, it is thin and bad, it. seems like if a person use there figure touch my wreath, the whole thing will fall. I really don't have any method to help my wreath, so I asked Mr.Hong. Mr.hong told me my wreath is ok, but it will look better if I add more branches. So I add multiple branches. After, I gave it to Mr.Hong, and Mr.Hong didn't said it was perfect but he did said it looks much better than it used to be. I think it is harder for this year Laurier school grade seven students to make wreath, because we ran out of wire!!! when I noticed, I turned in to blue zone. So we can only see if there any wire left on the ground, but I still finished my wreath.

In conclusion, it is very good that I had a chance to make wreath.

Nooooooo! My wreath is falling apart. How am I going to do this? I need feedback from others! At first, my table mates tell me to organize it first and then add a few pieces of cedar branches. Although I know that Mr.Hong told us all that it will look better if we add more cedar branches to our wreath. But I don’t think I have enough time to make it thicker, so instead, I did some self-assessment! I finally decided to first organize well. Wow! Guess what happened? it does look much better after I received feedback, and did some self-assessment.

I thought making a Christmas wreath was hard. I was right.

At the start I was failing badly. Nothing would stay on and I wanted to give up. But after some time, I decided it would be easier if I just focused on one side first, and it worked out better. I was almost done, when we ran out of wire. I used a lot of wire myself too, but I was almost finished so I got some from others. I still needed to make my wreath more bushier, but it was hard holding up the loose leaves with my hands.

Next time all I need to do is trim my wreath.

One thing that Mr. Hong told me was to thickenn the wreath. Mine was skinny, and I saw some of the sticks. And if I look closely, then I can see the hanger a little. After I added my sticks, the wreath looked better.

It’s time for the holiday season, and that means we will have to prepare for it! Division 1 and 2 have started making wreaths recently. Though it may have been very difficult at the start, everyone slowly managed to be able to make their base wreath!

I started off as struggling to even make a circle with my hanger. It just somehow didn’t bend like I thought it would. Consequently, I asked a friend to lend me one, and it worked perfectly. Then, I started to struggle to put on branches. I couldn’t attach the branches onto my hanger, and they were just sliding all over the place. Soon, we ran out of wires. I thought that I was done by then. Thankfully, my table group figured out that picking up leftover pieces of wire on the floor was a great idea (though it looked very weird). Consequently, we had some wire to use. Then, I ran into the problem of not being able to put on my branches. I struggled a lot by then. That is, until I asked Mr. Hong for help. (I remembered that one of the Big 6 Principles is asking questions.) Mr. Hong gave me feedback, and he taught me how I should have done it. I used the feedback by doing what he tells me to do (add more branches, use the fishing wire, etc.) In the start, I had only one or two branches attached to my hanger because all the other ones fell apart. At the end, with Mr. Hong’s help, I managed to make my wreath thick enough for decoration. Tomorrow, I will be trimming it and adding decorations on! (I hope that goes well!)

Holiday wreaths are a traditional decoration for holidays. Wreaths are rings of bushy leaves decorated to look very festive. We as a class have begun to craft our own wreaths gaining feedback along the way to greatly improve our final product.

The biggest and currently only form of feedback I have received is the usage of wire. Yesterday I was guilty of overusing the green wire to attach our leaves to our ring. When Mr. Hong had come to our table, he noticed the amount of wire I was using and told me to restart, and that it what I did. When I had detached all of the wire to restart, many people were asking me to borrow the wire, even though there were others who had a large amount of wire as well. I accepted their request and gave them a reasonable amount of wire, late many more people started asking us, and at one point we weren't able to keep it under control and they started to steal it. People were also getting angry and we simply said other people had wire.

I hope I may be able to gain more feedback as I work on finishing my wreath.

In the second paragraph, I don't think that "late many more people" makes sense. You can fix that, and also, I think you use the word "people" too much. Maybe you can change it to a different word.

Today we made some huge improvements while Mr.Hong was helping everyone in class by giving us a lot of DESCRIPTIVE FEEDBACK and helping us reach the learning intentions and goals of this task! And some differences you are able to see on MY holiday wreath is that there is new wire and I have made some extra adjustments like putting an extra line of string on some use parts of the wreath and just by putting some wire around some of the branches it really just makes more of the wreath look like it was made by some sort of professional person, but no, we as students made these beautiful masterpieces ( as Mr.Hong would say)!

Nice paragraph Dennis! Just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't start sentences with "and". You also spelled "wreathe" wrong at one point in your paragraph. The last thing is that you only had two sentences and the second one is pretty much much the entire paragraph. I think it would be great if you made that second "sentence" into several sentences. Great work though!

Art! One of my favourite subjects of all time.

When I first started making my wreathes, I got to admit that I didn't really have an idea of what I was doing. Not at all haha. I've never made a wreathe before until now. Considering I've been an artist all my life, some people might be surprised to hear that. I'm pretty surprised at myself that I've never made a wreathe before. It was very fun making them despite how hard it was to try not to stab yourself while tying all of them together with the wire. There was also a shortage of wire for everyone. What's good is that I also design jewelry and some things I make require wire which is why I brought my own. I mean, the only downside was that people were trying to steal it but my wreathe just got better and better. I can't wait to see how it turns out by the end of the week. :))

Overall, making the wreathes were extremely fun for me and I slowly got better and better at it as we went on. Tomorrow, my goal is to try to finish covering the hanger completely with wire so I can start decorating. Again, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

It’s almost Christmas so Division 1 and 2 are preparing for the holiday season! We have started to make wreaths recently to decorate our classrooms. Although it was challenging at first, everyone gradually started to make their wreaths.

At first, I was struggling to make my own wreath because the hanger wouldn’t bend. Therefore, I asked one of my friends to lend me another hanger and it worked perfectly. After, I strived when putting my branches onto my hanger. Unfortunately, we soon ran out of wire but thankfully I was almost finished. After I put on all my branches, I asked Mr. Hong for feedback, then he told to put more branches on certain places. I used the feedback that he gave me and put it into action. In the start, some of my branches attached to my fell apart. Nonetheless, in the end, I was able to perfect the wreath and make my wreath thicker. Additionally, I will be trimming and adding decorations next time.
