Ancient Civilizations

Today, a student in our class did not respect Mr. Hong's classroom property. I know that whoever broke the disk is feeling guilty about it. Feel free to email me or post a message here using the code name 'Sorry'. If you do this, I will accept your apology and all will be good in this world. :-) As you know, what was damaged today was dear to me and from my childhood. I am asking for your honesty in owning up to what you have done. It is important to own our actions.

Unless you have already received permission, you will not receiving an assessment for your research if I do not have it by 8am tomorrow morning.

2.) POST A RESPONSE:

I was disappointed by the actions of some students in our class today and am hoping someone steps up and takes responsibility for their actions.
If it was your childhood toy that was damaged, how would you feel? Put yourself in my shoes and write a paragraph about how you would feel if something that was dear to you was damaged.
Use proper paragraph structure. (hook, body, and conclusion)
Ask two students questions about their response.

I wouldn't ever forgive that person if they would to break something that I liked since I was a kid because I would have the memories of how it helped my through times and how hard that person work for to give it to you. Also nothing can replace how much fun I have had with it.

Hooks are only or mainly used in stories. But I am writing a short paragraph that wont be very good with a hook. Yet what I am about to say may change the way you see each other. If I had a toy precises to me. And it was old and brought happy memories to my life. And it got destroyed or jammed. I would feel very bad and avenge my toy by destroying the person's special toy who destroyed my special toy. But if I don't know who destroyed my special toy I will single someone out. Until they spill the beans and admit the truth.

@ Everyone - "Sniff, sniff!" What is that sound? It is the sound of Mr. Hong crying because he was so disappointed in what happened to the Commodore 64 today!

What was more disappointing than anything today was the fact that nobody owned up for what happened. When I was younger, someone would always take responsibility for their actions. This is the characteristic of a good person. I am hoping that someone comes forward by tomorrow.

"Thank you!" That was the sound of Mr. Hong thanking the student who apologized for what he or she did. I am able to forgive and forget very easily when people are honest. I can't wait to hear from the mystery student tonight!

There are little old gadgets in the world now, why? Because there are so many new ones coming out and the others just get left behind. But some keep there valid items because soon they can show it to their kids and say a story about it. Mr. Hong did the same. He kept his old gadgets to show us and the world, what it was like back in the old days. If someone comes up and just breaks it, that is disrespectful to Mr. Hong and the class because Mr. Hong wanted to show us how it worked and what he did as a kid. so who ever broke Mr. Hongs machine, Man up and tell the truth. There is an old saying my nana told me. "If you say what you did right away it is not a crime and you wont get in trouble. But if you keep it a secret. Your a criminal."

Wahhhhh...... If someone broke my toy I will be very sad. The person that broke my toy has just took a piece of me away from me. I will never forgive that person. If I was going to share with other people like Mr hong and someone came and damaged my toy I would be very sad. I really hope we find out who broke Mr hongs disc.

If someone broke something very special of mine... I'd be really upset. I will not forgive that person who did it... I may forget, but I will never forgive. Even if they say they'd pay me to forgive, I won't. (That was a bad example I know) if I would've shared like what Mr. Hong did, and they damaged it, I'd be very upset. There would be NNOTHING that would replace that very special thing. I feel so be for Mr.Hong cause he had that forever. Sorry that happened to you Mr hong. Even though I wasn't there when it happened, it would suck if something of yours you had since you were a child Broke.

Mr. Hong I cannot find any answers for step 4 on my criteria sheet for socials. I found some but you said wehad to do every question, yet I can't find right answers. I tried asking my parents but they don't know nothing about mesopotamia. Couldn't ask my older brother cause hes busy with homework. Asked some of my friends n theyhave no idea. I don't know what to do.

"Snap" The sound of something breaking. I heard this before. If someone broke my childhood toy I would snap at them. I would also go physical maybe but I'm not sure if I would. If I did I would try to stop but I would not because when something like that's happens rage takes over a person. Everyone childhood thing eventually gets destroyed either by someone or something.

"911 what's your emergency?" If someone was to break a toy i have held close to my heart i would feel like this ball of blazing pressure ready to EXPLODE at the person that's responsible, from experience i know that it is not always easy to just forgive someone. Honestly i would say "Don't let your emotions get the best of you'. It's your duty to think before acting before its too late and someone gets hurt, or even worse they get sent to the hospital. If you were the one who broke it just remember we are a class and we will support you until the end, we are a community and if we want it to work you need to have a little bit of TRUST inside your heart. We need to forgive at some pint even when we have kids and a family, holding a grudge is like a poison that will spread all over your body contaminating it with revengeful hate. Until you learn how to forgive that poison will always be at the darkest corner of your heart.

If some one broke one of my favorite childhood toys that is what I would say.If some one did I would be very sad and upset at that person. I will probably will not respect them as much as i did before. The item is a stuffed bear that my grandma had and she gave it to me. And that is how I remember her because she died

SNAP... If someone were to break my childhood toy I would probably break thier childhood toy (just like an eye for an eye).
I would also probably never forgive them because thay is my toy I mean like it meant the world to me when I got ot I was so thankful. If someone were to break it I would be all rage mode.

Dear Mr.Hong I am very sorry for what happened to your toy thingy I understand it meant lots to you and I hope you figure out who did it.

Also if one of you guys that are reading this you should own up to ruining Mr.Hongs thing because you would be in less trouble if you tell the truth.☺

If feel reallyyyy bad because when I was younger I had this toy spring bus that I always wanted for yearrsssss and I finally got it and I took it to my babysitters house and her kid broke it I was really mad and slapped him and I started to cry and I never got another one but I slowly grew out of toys but that was my favourite toy that I have ever had

WAAAAAAAAAA!!!! How could this happen to me. I've made my mistakes got no where to run! As my hotwheel car got smashed by a rock. My sister got made at me, because I ate her candy when I was little. After that sh took my hootwheel car and smashed it with a rock I got so triggered that I threw the rock at my sister's leg. Even though I think I was aiming for her head. I couldn't believe how violent I was when I was little. It felt like my anger went 0-100 real quick. After I felt bad because she had a mark on her leg, because of the rock I threw at her. I probable cried for hours before forgiving her. Right now I can't believe I cried for hours over a $1 toy.

GASP!!! Our class gasps as we see Mr. Hongs childhood DVD totally WRECKED. Why would someone do that?! WHO DID IT? Millions of questions flooded my mind as I looked at Mr. Hongs disappointed and shocked face. I looked at the wrecked DVD, and was disappointed too. I was really shocked that nobody would stand up and say it was actually them. If that happened to me, of course I'd be sad! One of the important things that our class should learn is honesty. Whoever broke Mr. Hongs childhood toy, is really cruel. I hope that perosn would say sorry to Mr. Hong. It's really simple!

My favourite toy was a cuddly doll💕 I got her 9/10 years ago from my dad I took it everywhere with me,even to bed. I named her Stella❤. One day I wanted to clean her up so I put her in a tub of hot soapy water,in order to dry her , I used a hair dryer but sadly poked it to close to her eye☹.The result was her eye got badly burned . I was aghast with horror! How could I have done this I felt so regretful and heartbroken💔. But inspite of this accident and her being disfigured , still she is close to my heart & accompanys me where ever I go.. (>but not really now [ at times ]<)

Crack ! As the disk broke ,as all of Mr. Hongs childhood memories washed away. Imagine your one thing from your childhood was taken away . BAM ! Just like that. I know who ever did it feels guilty and thinks they are going to get in trouble but really your not. If you won't say it then I will for you.

Dear, Mr. Hong
I am very sorry for what this person has done to your property. Now this person can learn from his/her mistakes and learn to own up to what he/her has done.

If someone broken my things on purpose with out my permission I would be very sad and if it's something that means a lot to me I would probably not come to school for at less 3-4 days I would make me very upset, frustrated, really sad and angry. I would have lots of mix emotions in side me and if I don't tell anyone about it will all build up and I would probably explode with rage. The lesson is that you have own up to your responsibility and your mess it's good to tell the truth sometimes and if you wait I will only get worse trust me I have been thought that before.

If someone where to ruin one of my favourite childhood toys i would feel really sad especially if you were really close with that special item. If one of my teddy bears were to get ruined i would feel like apart of my childhood was gone and no longer with me.

THUD!! A sound caught my attention and I turned around. "I swear I didn't do anything! I swear!" I saw a glimpse of my little brother's frame on the way outside the door. He was laughing. What was that..? Confused, I looked around my room to see what was funny. My eyes fell to the ground to see a familiar toy that triggered my memory. My face was priceless after seeing what was lying on the floor.. It was my doll, her body parts were scattered everywhere on the floor. My body reacted to it and my trembling hands were trying to reach it. "My childhood toy.." Kneeling down picking up the broken parts, the storm inside me were ready to burst. "I'll never forgive him. Never." I slowly stood up, putting it on my desk. "What am I going to do with him?! He almost broke everything I have!" Hot tears were streaming down my cheeks. I cried my heart out for like an hour. KNOCK KNOCK
"What do you want..?" I asked.
"U-uh, I just wanna say sorry.."
"Why?"
"Because I broke something special.." Little footsteps were heard after he said that. "Here, me and mom brought you a new one..I'm sorry." I took the doll and said "I'll forgive you. For now.." I smiled brightly. Holding a grudge on someone is not helpful. It'll make the situation worst. So, you should forgive them. The only key for forgiving someone is honesty. You better be honest!

if someone broke my fav toy i would be very mad and angry so i would break their fav toy so they can see how i feel
