Today, students stared the day off with PE and learned more about basketball. In math, we continued learning about estimating and multiplying decimals. In the afternoon, students worked on their pop art assignments and ended the day with their last inquiry session before they present tomorrow.

How do you multiply decimals higher than 1? First you have to ignore the decimal point and multiply the number regularly. For example say I multiply 8.5 and 1.2 and round up or down depending on the decimal. next you multiply the whole number you got from rounding(9x1=9). Next is to take out the decimal point. Now it's 85x12. after the calculations,(85x12=1020)the decimal goes behind the closest number to our estimate(9). That's how you multiply numbers bigger than one.

To multiply decimals, you should first remove the decimals and look at the numbers as if they were whole. Approaching it mathematically, you are technically not removing the decimals, but simply multiplying the number by 10^n, where "n" is the total number of digits to the right of a decimal. For instance, 3.66 would be turned into 366 because you are simply multiplying it by two powers of ten, which is one hundred. After you have manipulated both of the numbers in the expression, you should then multiply both number out as you would when multiplying multi-digit numbers. To illustrate, 366 * 435 would result into 159210. Finally, there is one more step to multiplying decimals. Because we removed the decimal in our first step, we must input the decimal back in correctly. To find where to put it, simply count the total number of digits to the right of each decimal in the original expression and add it together; this function is the same as dividing by 10^n. Let’s say you have 2.3 and 3.7.
1st you need to need to Forget the decimals and multiply the numbers.
You will get 851.
2nd you need to see how many decimals there to the ones digit. So in are equation it is two.
3rd you need to move the decimal point to the left 2 times. And that is your answer.
That is how to multiply decimals over one.

Has anybody thought about multiplying decimals greater than 1? If you do, I will show you steps on multiplying decimals that are more than 1. Many of you do think it’s hard but it will be easy.

The first step of multiplying decimals greater than 1 is to line up the numbers multiplying together like this: 5.45 X 4.32, you can multiply the numbers together and if you feel uncomfortable ignore the decimal dots and just do the multiplying normally without the dots. You could imagine that it was 545 X 432 but don’t erase the dots because you will need them later.

The next step of multiplying decimals greater than 1 is to do the multiplying and as you did 545 X 432 the answer would be 23544. After doing the calculation, the next thing to do would be confusing as I told you earlier that you should keep these dots and don’t erase them. 5.45 X 4.32 would be 2.3544 because as you did the multiplying you need to move the dots to the back until it is behind all the digits and in total, I moved it 4 times so I would move back 4 dots starting behind the 4 (ones digit).

As you complete all these steps you will be able to know how to do this without any confusion and good luck on multiplying decimals greater than 1 as if you may have a test for your evaluation. This is just all simple and EZ

There is a really simple way to solve decimals more than one, how do you do that you may ask? Well, it's quite simple if you do all the steps. Lets have an example question, 8.23 x 2.34. First of all, remove the decimals for now. Now we should have the numbers 823 and 234. Next, we multiply them. After multiplying them you should get 192582. Now that number seems too high for 8x2, so now we are going to put back the decimal we removed from earlier. Both numbers had two decimal numbers, 2+2 is 4, so we have to move the decimal four times to the left side. At last you should get the number 19.2582. There, that's the answer to the question 8.23 x 2.34.

Would you like to know how to multiply with digits bigger than 1?
If so you in the right place.
so when your multiplying with digits higher then 1 lets say 4.2 x 5.3 in this equation it might look confusing with the decimals and all that but really when your multiplying you dont need the decimal there all you have to do is multiply 42 and 53 it makes it a lot more simple. So after you remove the decimal you just multiply it just like you would multiply numbers without decimals its that easy. After you do that you will have your answer which will be 2226 so obviosly 4.2 and 5.3 is not going to equal 2226 so thats when you add in the decimal but right now your probably thinking oh no i dont know where to put it well thats fine all you have to do to put the decimal in the right point is you have to look at the 4.2 and 5.3 so in both those numbers there are s space from the right to the left of the decimal so that means you have to put the decimal 2 spaces in so it would be 22.26 there you go thats a lot more reasonable the way i know that its reasonable is because i estimated the way you estimate is round to the closest 1 in both 4.2 and 5.3 that would make it 4 and 5 then you just multiply both of those together then you done. Now you know how to multiply to number bigger than 1.

Do you know how to multiply decimals greater then 1? Well, if you don't I will be telling you. First, so let's say you have 1.23 x 3.14 the first thing you will do is line the two factors up and remember to line them up so that one of the factors are above the other. Second, remove the decimals. Third, multiply the two factors together then once you got the answer with no decimals, then you see how many numbers are behind the decimal for both the factors so because 1.23 x 3.14 have 4 numbers behind the decimal and the answer is 38622(without the decimals) you move the decimal over the 4th digit in 38622 and so the answer would be 3.8622. This is how you multiply decimals greater than 1.

Decimals. Have you done multiplying decimals greater than one before? Well, let’s say 1.98*5.69. You will get 11.2662, but what are the steps to getting this? First, you remove the dots/points. Then, you just multiply like you always did. Finally, you get the answer and you put the dots or points two places to the left starting from the very right. These are the steps and I hope this will help you do the calculations of this next time!

At first Multiplying decimals looks pretty complicated. But don't worry! No more confusion after you read this. Firstly, you look at
your numbers, For example, 8.5 x 9.5 forget the decimals now you'll see 85 x 95 just multiply normally like how you always do.
The answer is 8075, bring the decimals back as you can see at 8.5 the decimal jumps once same as 9.5. Both of their decimals jump one so what is 1+1? It's 2 so you jump twice for your answer so 8075 you jumped the decimal twice and now it's 80.75. At first Multiplying decimals looks pretty complicated. But don't worry! No more confusion after you read this. Firstly, you look at
your numbers, For example, 8.5 x 9.5 forget the decimals now you'll see 85 x 95 just multiply normally like how you always do.
The answer is 8075, bring the decimals back as you can see at 8.5 the decimal jumps once same as 9.5. Both of their decimals jump one so what is 1+1? It's 2 so you jump twice for your answer so 8075 you jumped the decimal twice and now it's 80.75. To double-check your answer you can estimate so 8.5 rounds up so it's 9.0 and 9.5 also rounds up so it's 1 basically 100 in decimals you multiply it and it should d be around your answer. First, you ignore the decimals points then estimate the answer, 6.91~7 and 5.17~5, so your answer would probably be somewhere near 35. Secondly, we calculate 6.91 x 5.17 without the decimal points, like 691 x 517 which equals to 357247. Lastly, the answer could only be somewhere around 35 so 35.7247 would be the right answer. Overall, multiplying decimals greater than 1 could be hard but once you get the hang of it, it would seem a lot easier.

For example, write down 1.25 x 2.05. Second, you’ll multiply the numbers and 1.25 x 2.05 which equals 25625. The reason I didn’t add a decimal is because you’re supposed to forget about the decimal when you’re multiplying. Lastly, we need to place the decimal. So, in 1.25 there is two digits after the decimal and in 2.05 there is also two digits after the decimal. If you know basic math 2 + 2 equals four so you jump four times in your answer so the answer should be 2.5625. In conclusion, it actually isn’t that hard to multiply decimals once you get the hang of it.

Example our problem is 5.7x 2.22 equal to? To make it easier you should multiply the first one which is 5.7 multiply it to 10 so our answer would be 57 right now we got 57 as the answer now we can multiply 2.22 to 57 so you can ignore the decimal point so the problem would be 57x 222 it’s way more easier without the decimal points. The answer will be 12 654 but you forgot where to put the decimal! So decimal would place onto 3 skip counts! So the answer is 12.654 great job!

How do you multiply decimals greater than one? Do you have an up coming test about multiplying decimals? Well, I’ll be explaining it step by step. It’s simple. It’s just like regular multiplication, buttt instead theres a decimal between the numbers. For instance, 5.4 X 3.5. That’s a decimal. Now, in order to find the answer, just multiply it regularly how you normally would do! Without the decimals, the final answer to the equation would equal to 1890, now lets multiply it with the decimals. Pretty obvious, still equals to the same number! But don't forget the decimal point. If you look at the first two numbers thats behind the decimal point, 5 and. 4, you have to skip count to it.

The first step is to multiply the digits on the right side, so 2 x 7 = 14. Unfortunately, 14 would be a bit too big, which is why you want to bring the 1 over to the 3. Then, cross over to the left side, and multiply 7 by 3 ( equals to 21), though because you have that extra 1 on top of the 3, you want to add the 1 to the most recent product, (21 = 22).
