2.) SCIENCE: Responding to Quotes (due tomorrow)
3.) POST A RESPONSE:
- Today, we continued reading 'ONE FOR THE MURPHY'S'. Your writing assignment today will be evaluated on FreshGrade tomorrow for your parents to see.
- Which character do you identify with most in the story. In your paragraph, explain in detail why you connect with this person.
- You will write a paragraph and follow all criteria points below in order to receive 'EXTENDING'.LEARNING INTENTION: I can make personal connections to characters from 'ONE FOR THE MURPHY'S'.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format:
- engaging hook
- body with supporting sentences (examples, quotes, statistics, points, etc)
2.) Includes at least two 'TEXT TO SELF' connections using your personal background knowledge. This must be explained in detail and not simply stated.
3.) Use at least 3 transition words from this list.
4.) Check to see you have included everything from criteria points #1-3 above.
5.) Check your work for the conventions/givens (capitals, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling).
6.) You must also edit/revise/rewrite your original paragraph based on a self-assessment of the above criteria. This means, you must do the following:
- Post 2 things you need to improve on your paragraph.
- Edit/revise your original paragraph and it must show your improvements.
- All three posts must be on the same stream. Reply to your original paragraph with your self-assessment and revised version.
