TIME TO 'KETCHUP'! GET IT????

With Progress Reports going home on January 31st, students have been busy catching up on missed assignments and uploading artifacts of learning to their digital portfolios on FreshGrade. Tomorrow will be the deadline for most students to update their shared writing files, Science Eco-System lab write-ups, etc. Students who have been sick will be given until Monday to complete and update any missed assignments. If you have missed any quizzes, you must come see me tomorrow. This is your last opportunity unless I have already spoken to you about this.

1.) FRESHGRADE:

Update any learning reflections you haven't completed yet.
Upload any shared Google Docs, assignments, self-assessment sheets, evaluation sheets, work, tests, quizzes, etc that you haven't uploaded yet.

2.) LA/WRITING:

Self-assess your essays using the rubric/criteria for introductory paragraphs, body paragraphs, and concluding paragraphs at home so you are sure you have included everything you in the criteria.
Once you feel you have finished your best work, post a message on FreshGrade and let me know you finished. In addition to this, please let me know if you would like me to re-evaluate your writing.
Final drafts of essays are due tomorrow.

3.) MATH QUIZ: Postponed until tomorrow.

What is the big idea of this story? To me the big idea of this story is not to be laze and help and do the team work for the winter.Like in this world there are people that are laze but some of them aren't lazy, you need ti think about that what if no one help sloth? What would happen to him in the winter guess what, he died! after that video it teaches us not to be lazy like the sloth.

Armadillo and Bird are hard workers.

The big idea is have fun but working hard and think about your future. While Sloth was lazy and didn’t planning for the harsh winter, Armadillo and Bird work on a garden. When the harsh winter comes,
there was no food left in the woods for the animals. So Sloth would stave but he didn’t. His friends help him and told him the importance of work hard and get ready for the future.

In conclusion have fun and work hard on your goals.

I like your writing and your attitude of writing. However, you have to you have to be careful of your spellings, grammars, and your main idea. You must have to change and maybe explain more about your main idea. You have to make your paragraphs more specific. Perhaps you have to edit and review your paragraph and post it again. Overall, your paragraph is quite good.

"It's a nice day with rainbows and sunshine!" said sloth. "Hey armadillo and bird! Why don't you just stop working and play with me? It's very fun! And what's the whole point of working anyways...?"

The whole point of the story was basically to work hard. Armadillo and bird started their own garden and worked hard. On the other hand, sloth was playing and tried to lure the others to playing too. Day by day, the armadillo and bird worked hard on their garden, but sloth just got lazier and more annoying. Also, the days got a teeny bit colder each day. In fall, armadillo and bird finally tried to make sloth do work, but he was to busy looking at the leaves. They warned sloth a lot, and told him the dangers of not having food and shelter, but it just made the sloth more worse, and he kept teasing and annoying the other two. Sloth was overestimating himself. By winter, the sloth was really cold nd hungry. He walked up to bird and armadillo for help, which was pathetic, but they said yes because they were nice. That story tells you to work hard. Yes you can play, but usually after the work. There are many other versions of the story, like the ant and the grasshopper, or the ant and the cicada. This story helps you in actual life, too. That's because you should always finish your work before you play, like in 'ketchup' time, if you finish, you can play. but if you don't do your work, then you will get homework.

Procrastination. In my opinion it is so hard to stop once you are doing something that is distracting, why do something boring rather than enjoying myself? That might be why I stay up late doing my homework... Sloth was procrastinating by playing instead of working in the garden. Honestly I know the feeling, but work MUST come first. That's what I think the main idea of the video is. Don't procrastinate, work first then you can relax later. That's a great saying. I should follow that...

I have freedom and I have taken the time to finish my work so I want to write MORE than one paragraph!

The video displayed on the website portrays a story of ignoring labor, and the consequences that come with it. In this video, an armadillo and bird work vigorously to prepare for the upcoming hibernation.They had "planted a garden" and were working hard to supply resources, while their ironic sloth friend is in denial and simply wastes time entertaining himself. By the time winter arrives, the sloth had come to a realization that he did not have sufficient resources to survive the winter, and was forced to ask his two friends for help. In a cheesy end, the sloth had learned his lesson and never ignored the necessities again.

The meaning in this video is laid out, and it does not require any explanation. For this P.A.R however, it is mandatory that I complete the criteria. The simple meaning behind this video is that ignoring work and not preparing can leave you in a bald spot in the near future, and it is our job to work hard to ensure a proper future for ourselves. Ignoring labor and simply procrastinating, can hinder your life so greatly, it can be your demise.

Make sure to always work hard in life, and never ignore the necessities that have been layed out in front of you. So put down that dumb fortnite game, question why you waste your ife playing it, and get o work.

The main idea of this childish video is that teamwork is an important skill everyone needs to learn to work well with others. In the video, sloth is lazy and doesn't help Armadillo and Bird prepare for the winter. Instead, Sloth spends the remainder of his days playing and sleeping, while his friends are hard at work. When winter finally comes, everyone excluding Sloth are ready to tough out the cold. Sloth doesn't realize until it's too late that he should've helped instead of dozed off.

In conlucion, the moral of this short story is: "Teamwork makes the dream work!" -Anonymous.

Wow, what a nice story! But theres a lesson behind this story, which is trying to teach us not to be lazy. Sloth was lazy, and in conclusion, he had nothing to eat and nowhere to live in winter because he didn't follow armadillo and bird when they were planting food. He probably would've starved to death or froze in the cold, but luckily, he also had friends who forgave him and let him join them. Sloth learned that being lazy isn't good the hard way. This story isn't telling you to not play, but you should play AND work.

Wait what happened to no par today? Ugh. I’ll do it sooner or later.

So if you read my new year's resolution par you know that I'm pretty lazy. Funny thing is, sloths are also my favourite animal. So just like Emily I've always had a problem with procrastination and consistency. I always wait last minute to get something done. This has always been the case and probably always will be. So the videos big idea, in a nutshell, would probably be about doing your part and not relying on others. For example, take a group project. Imagine this. You just got assigned groups, and you have the best workers in the class. You already know that they won't need your help so you just back off. Presentation day comes and it goes great. You got an A! Now reflections come and your group mates put down that you didn't do your part at all. This causes you to fail. That's basically how I see this video.

Do your part and the rest will fall into place.

All work and no play makes sloth a dull boy. Clearly it only applies to Sloth because he only wants to play at all times. There must be a balance in the activity that you have wherein you have to work at a given time and play thereafter. Unlike Armadilo and Bird where they worked hard on there garden with a positive effect and planned for the future as they were saying, "What you reap is what you saw." Which taught Sloth a big lesson. In conclution, hardwork is necessary to achieve our goals in life just like Armadilo and Bird taught to Sloth.

This video looks like it's made for little kids! How could it have a bigger, deeper meaning inside??? Well first, it turned out to be really interesting, but as I kept watching there was more to the story. In the summer, where there were sunny days, Armadillo and Bird were already preparing for winter. They knew that there was no food and it would be cold, so they prepared and worked hard early. Meanwhile, Sloth ate the seeds his friends had given him and played all day instead of working. Armadillo and Bird kept giving him reminders, but Sloth still didn't believe that winter would be cold and hungry for him. When it became that time of year, Armadillo and Bird were warm and full in their house while Sloth didn't even prepare a warm house. In conclusion, the moral of this story should be to work hard in order to achieve future rewards.

This story reminds me a story. A story about ants and bees. It's about the ants are working hard to get prepared for the cold winter. And obviously the exact opposite that what the bees did. I thought that everyone should know about the main idea.

Hmm... I will make an example. In the past, I was incredibly lazy. I always think about games, music, TV shows, and other different things. I used to be a day dreamer. The reason is I thought it was too easy for me. I could say I never work hard in my school, until my last exam in grade 2. I didn't study and day dreams every day. And obviously, I got bad marks on my exam. In that day, I learnt that when I am playing, others are working; when I am working, others are working more harder. After that day, I changed my attitude of learning.

Work hard, play hard. I just want to say, get prepared, and never regret after what you did.

I think the big idea if this story was not to be lazy and to working hard to get ready for the future. For example, if you have a project don’t wait for the last minute and start doing your work. Like in the story, sloth was always being lazy when armadillo and bird were getting ready for the winter. Later when winter came armadillo and bird were prepared, but sloth wasn't and in the end, he had to get help from armadillo and bird.

In conclusion, you have to work hard to get ready for the future because you won’t always be lucky like the sloth in the story and get help from people like armadillo and bird.

It’s a simple story with a meaningful message! I think the big idea of this story is to work hard and be prepared for your future. In the story, Armadillo and Bird were working hard preparing for the winter while the sloth is playing around and did not do what he supposed to do. When winter arrived, the sloth is in big trouble, since the weather is cold and freezing, there's nothing left for the sloth to eat. In conclusion, This teaches the sloth that it's important to play but also to work hard and think about the future. Same with us!

If you do, simply replace the comma with a period and capitalize the letter after. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading your writing!

In this video, Armadillo and Bird worked hard before winter came while Sloth was playing and not doing any work. When winter came, Armadillo and Bird had shelter and food. On the other hand, Sloth was lost trying to find shelter and food. This showed us how important doing your work is and the importance of being smart of when it comes to the future. Work hard like Armadillo and Bird for a better future, or be lazy like Sloth just to enjoy for the present moment. This video teaches us to always be smart with time like Armadillo and Bird.

Always being prepared is important, which is one part of the big idea of this video. This video showed an armadillo and bird working robustly together to prepare for the winter. They planted a garden to use for their food sources. Whereas, their sloth friend was wasting valuable time by amusing himself. When winter arrived, the sloth came to the realization that he didn’t obtain an adequate amount of food, which meant the only way was to ask his friends. In the end, the sloth learned his lesson and learned to work with determination next winter. In other words, ignoring work can be the demise of your future. Make sure to always work hard in life and never ignore the necessities that have been laid out in front of you.

In conclusion, the sloth in the video didn’t work hard so he didn’t receive a good future. If we all work with determination, I am sure we will all obtain a good future!

What a good story! Is is a meaningful cartoon.

This video taught us that we should work hard for our future and listen to our friends. In this cartoon, Armadillo and the bird work really hard to prepared for the winter, meanwhile, sloth didn’t do anything. When the winter come, Armadillo and the bird have the things they need, but sloth didn’t have anything, he cannot find any food, because the plants don’t grow during the winter, and the winter is cold and freezing, he can’t sleep in the tree, so we should work hard. In my own opinion, I think we should accept others apologies if they know they are sorry, we shouldn’t be mad at something that is in the pass, we should reminds others what is right and what is wrong and still be friends with each other.

In conclusion, we have to work hard, and if the other people did something wrong and they realize it, we should accept their apology and work together in the future.
