Research Skills

Today, students started learning about the 3 phases of sprinting. They collaborated with partners to figure out what those three phases were. They presented their learning with short demonstrations of the 3 phases and brief explanations of the sprinting technique. With track & field season ahead of us, it is important we work on our running form and structure in order to do the best that we can to improve. Click here to read a little bit more about the 3 phases.

You don't have to answer any of the questions its just to get you thinking.

Use your research skills and critical thinking skills to come up with your own personal opinion about the message this video is giving people.
Answer these questions in addition to posting your own opinion about it.

   1.) Who made the video?
   2.) Is the message biased at all? How do you know?
   3.) Are there any positive things that will come about the Trans Mountain Expansion Project?
4.) What do you know or think Kinder Morgan does that is negative and wasn't discussed in the
     video?
   5.) Who will benefit from this project? How do you think they will benefit? Explain using at least 3
supporting details from the video.

Reply to one other classmate and ask them questions about their response.

It was biased because they were promoting TRANSmtn so they could biuld the pipeline.

The positives for the pipeline is there will be more money for grocery stores to buy us food that we have to buy.

I think kinder morgan did nothing negative... I think kinder morgan is good for the world.

The Trans mounting pipeline will be no fet cause the are promoting their own thing.
They will be benighted cause they will be allowed to build their pipeline. Also we would be benifeted because we would get more food from the grocery store.

Transmit made this video. This video was biased, because it only talked about the positive side, when there is also a negative side. The positive side is we will get more oil, so we can use it. The negative side there could be oil leaks. This can can cause pullution. People can benifit from this, because you will need a lot of workers. You can get a job.

Who made this video supports Kinder Morgan. This video does not seem legit. 800 million!? That's a lot of money this video claims that will be given to Canada. This video only includes the positive and not the thousands of years old oil getting turned into fuel. Canada will benefit, Kinder Morgan will benefit and people with medical conditions will benefit.

I think it is biased because it makes it seem like it will benefit us, but it might spill. If it spills it could hurt our enviornment a lot. But it will give families jobs at least. This is biased because there not saying anything about what could bad happen.

Money I guess will be the best thing coming out of this and the money will help with lots of stuff.

They didn't say that this could pollute the world and could kill us all because if there was a oil spill the fish will die than lots of other stuff than die and than those ones that are still alive will get killed because people are stupid LOL.

They could benifit from this video because
1.) this could remind them than they could get billions and than we will work harder.
2.) maybe some people may stop protesting because we could get lots of money for Canada.

3)The pipeline will expand the capacity of oil production, this will help the government to gain tax revenues which will fund local community welfare and create more jobs.

2) I think this is biased but not at the same time. Because they made it very confinsing that this is good because people did back in the olden days . And there is another sorce that proves this is real.

3)I think this is a bad idea because they're knocking down nature and they even might knock down houses. But if anything positive it will help people.
