Collecting Plant Specimens in the Community

It was a pleasure to meet your parents on Thursday evening. For those parents who were unable to attend, I am looking forward to meeting you at some point this term. Feel free to drop in at any point to introduce yourself. It is important to involve parents, teachers, and students. This undoubtedly influences the learning of a child. Please take time to either send me an email or simply drop by my classroom to introduce yourself in the near future.

NOTICES: Return envelopes/money on Monday at the latest

1.) READING: Read for 30 minutes per day and log it in your planner/calendar.

2.) MATH: Any unfinished worksheets from last week and corrections.

3.) PASSION PROJECTS:

Complete your brainstorming booklet over the weekend if you didn't complete it in class.
Play around with Animoto.com (website or app) and learn how to use it.
Create a practice video and make sure you know how to use all the functions (pictures, text, music, templates, etc).
Ideas for a practice video can be a special event that you shared with your family over the summer or another time.
We will set up the structure of your passion project with our co-created criteria sheet on Monday.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

In paragraph form, complete your PAR
Include an Intro/topic sentence, 2-3 supporting sentences/details/examples (body), and a concluding sentence
Who are three people who should be involved in your education (you can include yourself in this).
Why is it important to involve these three people?
Give 1-2 people suggestions on what they can do to improve their paragraph.
Edit/revise your original post.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE GIVENS (spelling, capitals, grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, etc).

I have three important person involved in my education in elementary school in Vancouver.

I moved to Vancouver in August this year. I am a new student in Laurier. In the beginning of this school year. I was nervous and curious when I entered the school. I didn't know what to do, no friends, no person knew me.

However, I have a greatest dad. Something that I don't know or not sure, he can always tell me the answer. In the days in Vancouver, he always take care of me when I was nervous. He is the greatest dad in the world.

The second person is my best friend Logan. He taught me about the school and everything about the school. Without him, I should be nervous and no friends in these days in school. He always plays with me and talks to me in the school days. He is one of the important persons in the school.

The third person who involved in my education is Mr.Hong. He is the nicest teacher in my education. He taught us new things that we don't know and made me love to read and learn. He made our class funny and more interesting. He is the greatest teacher in my elementary school.

I really can't imagine that I could survive in these school days without these three people in my education.

Mr. Hong said at the meet the teacher night and even in the blurb that it is important to involve PARENTS, TEACHERS and STUDENTS.

First of all it is important to involve your parents because they can give you the support you need at home when you aren’t at school. Parents also can help give you some feedback on your work if they read over your work. The second most important person in your education are teachers. Teachers are a huge part of our education because they are the ones who help us learn. They teach us all the important information that we need in order for us to get a job and live a happy, and healthy life. The third most important person in your education is yourself. You are the future generation. We need to work hard towards a better tomorrow for the next generation for futures to come.

Those are who I think are the most important people in your education.

This was really great as you followed the criteria and did very well in making your message clear, using good wording and grammar. I wouldn't really say anything about but there is one thing, in that you made a slight spelling mistake on the first sentence of the paragraph, other than that great job!

But most importantly, they are the building blocks that make up my education.

Everyday at school, Mr. Hong teaches me new things and makes school an enjoyable place for me and all of the other students in my class. He helps me with work I don't understand. He also taught me a lot about self-regulation and expected and unexpected behaviours. I strongly believe that I'll learn a lot this year!

Finally, the last and most critical person involved in my education is ME! I am the person who is in charge of my learning. I can decide how much effort I put into studies/work. Taking part in extra-curricular activities helps me learn more too. Having a positive attitude and never giving up, no matter how hard the task is, makes me learn things faster.

In conclusion, my parents, my teacher and I are the three people that should be a part of my education.

There are many important people in my community that are important, but I think the most important ones are the parents, the teacher, and the student.

First of all, the parent should always be involved in the student's learning because the parent should ALWAYS have a say in something that the student is doing. The parent also has to make sure that the teacher is doing the right thing when teaching. The parent also has to make sure that the student is actually learning something, or the student could be learning nothing at all.

Second of all, the teacher is also important because he/she is always trying to find a way to help the student learn more and that only happens if the teacher can stay connected to both the parent and student. The teacher also has to make sure that the parent knows what is happening because a lot of things may happen at school that needs a parent's attention and if he/she doesn't know anything, it creates more problems. The student also has to stay in the loop because the student is the commander of his/her own learning so the student also has to know everything that is going to happen in school.

The last component to everything is the student. The student is the one in charge of his/her own learning so the student has to be focused and ready to learn in school. The student is important because the student is the person who learns. She/He needs people on his/her "team" so the student has to remember to go to them (The parents and teacher) when he/she needs help.

This is what I think is the three most important people in my education.

The three most important people who are involvled in my studies are my mom, my dad, and my teacher.
My mom is involved with my studies because she helps me with my homework. If I don’t understand it, she gives me examples to help me with my homework.
My dad helps me with math and reading. I read a story to him and he does dictation with me.
My teacher, Mr. Hong helps me with the units at school. Mr. Hong help me understand my work if i don’t understand something. He explains the math questions to help me understand.
These people are involved in my education and I am thankful that these people are helping me succeed.

The majority of people who have responded to the question thus far have most commonly said, parents, students, and teachers, and I am no different. These three kinds of people effect one aspect of learning, parents can offer support, teachers offer knowledge, and the student provides all that is given to them to improve themselves.

My explanation can be summarized in a simple form, such as a pyramid; The parents and teachers are the support for the student who is holding it all at the top. The teacher will be able to provide the knowledge to allow the student to learn and improve, but the process of doing this task can leave to a loss of motivation, the parent can help the student by supporting them and helping them improve on their own by using what the teacher has given to the student. If the parent and teacher can connect, then they can talk and plan as a means to aid the student to further growth; If the student keeps the parent consistently updated to activities preformed in school, it can also aid the parent in understanding what the student must accomplish. Without the student and parent as a base and support, the student cannot improve, and cannot grow stronger, this is why every piece is important.

In my education there are a lot of important people, but here is the top three.

First: my teacher Mr.Hong. He is an awesome teacher because he has a very good attitude (unlike my grade 5 teacher in the school I moved out of) he does not raise his voice when a student misbehave's in class. Also he helps me with my work when I need it like. For example I don't know how to do a math question, I ask him how to it then he shows me how to do it step by step.

The second person is: my mom. she checks my work to make sure I did it (duh, of course I do it). She makes sure I get good grades so I can get in a good school.

The third most important person is: my best friend Colin. I play with him when I am bored.

The first person which is important are my parents. What if I go home and forget everything Mr. Hong said in the math lesson? Then I will ask my parents! But what if I just go n the Mr. Hong's Class website? That leads to my next person, which is the teacher. If I'm at school ,I'm stuck, and Raymond is not willing to help me because he's in a bad mood then, then I ask the teacher! (unless it's a test) Or if I'm at home and my parents are out shopping then I can go on the Mr. Hong's Class website and ask Mr. Hong there. Lastly, the final person is...me! Because if there is no me, then who is asking the questions? Who is doing the work? Who is thinking and hearing and tasting and feeling and smelling and seeing(etc.)? Without me it will be like my parents and Mr. Hong are doing the work for me.

first my mom, she help me a lot after school and she teach me a lot she really cares about me when I’m working about all the works so it’s really really important for you to come over here and listen.
Second is my dad he is a really tough man I am he is really hard to talk to, sometimes that he help me but not really he still need to come because he’s one of my parents and one of the really important guy to our family.
Well I think that’s probably yet because I only have like those two numbers of my family in Canada so that’s it.

To even further improve one's education, you must have your teacher, parent, and the student, yourself. A teacher is the one who gives us knowledge, like a candle consuming itself to light our future. He's a big part of your education. Your parents can also have an positive effect to your learning. They need to be cognitively involved and personally involved. What that means is that not only do parents need to give the necessary materials to their child, they also need to communicate and know what's going on for the child at school. Lastly, yet the most important person, is the student, yourself. If your parents and your teacher get involved but you don't, there's no use. Only when you try, you'll have an successful education. My mom and dad always tried their best to help me whenever there’s trouble. They support me by teaching me, giving me suggestion and making delicious foods to clam me down with all the stress I had during learning. They helped me by telling me why do I need to work hard on my learning, and how important is it to always try my best. I really keep all the positive words in my mind. They really support me with all the learning stress I had and making me have the confidence to look forward! Thinking about how to solve the problems.

My teacher, Mr.Hong! Must be the most knowledgeable person I knew who involved in my learning. The person who teaches me new things everyday and helps me with trouble understanding! He also gives me feedback for telling how can I improve and get better at something.

I think the people who are important in my education are first my parents, why are they important, they are important because they would help me when I need it and would help me with problems that seem insurmountable to me but would be salved in a matter of seconds. They would help me by telling me strategy to salve them instead of telling me the answer. They would also support me by saying i can do it!

The last person is me because for me to improve in education i must take the advice and improve. I must listen to the feedback my parents and teacher gives me to improve.

One of the most important things involved in our education is the people who help and will do what ever it takes to complete our learning and those people are:
-Our parents or family
-and the teacher
So these 2 kinds of people are not allowed to let u see the the Answer key or someone else’s test or u will Be PUNISISHED BY THE GREAT MR.HONG!!!
