1.) Read for 30 minutes
2.) LA - Bring your novels and all your stickies! (HATCHET)
3.) SCIENCE - Research as many sections as you can (Earthquakes/Volcanoes). Remember, you have about 2 weeks to complete your assignment! In order to stay on track, you need to dedicate time to your research! Bring your research to school tomorrow (save it to Google Docs). You will be giving your peers feedback on their research tomorrow.
4.) MATH 6 - Corrections for Ch9 Lesson 1 (text) and Ch9 Lesson 2 worksheet
MATH 7 - refer to your planners.
5.) Post a message: What is the format you should follow when gathering your research for your Science project? Explain what was discussed in class today.

The format you should follow when collecting research is,
~You must include the source you got it from
~must be a paragraph
~Must have transition words
~Use either Google Documents or Word Document, while copying and pasting all your info. You must save this and make another one with your own words
~ Lastly, I think you need to include all the information on the lists of your topic, and anything else you think is important to add!

Remember, you are only researching your topic/subtopics right now. You are not summarizing the information into your own words yet. We will begin this at the end of the week. Simply find reliable information according to the C.R.A.A.P. reliability test. Remember, you will likely have a minimum of 2 online sources for your information (excluding multimedia).

FORMAT-

1. First, find information on your topic that is reliable according to the C.R.A.A.P. test.

2. Second, copy this info and paste it onto Word document or anything else like it. (Note- Be sure to stay organized and type in the title of whatever section your typing it on. Remember, your just copying and pasting it on, no revisions yet.)

3. Next, put the site you got your info on the bottom of the paragraph.

4. Go on to your next section, Repeat.

5. Save your info to Google Docs.

The format you should follow when researching is:
-Have your sources
-Collect only the most important data
-Use either Google Documents, Word Document, or a piece of paper -When using Google Documents, or Word Document, copy and paste the info. Then save it and print.
-You need to use different sources, not just the science textbook, wiki, ect.

1) Find all the information and put it to the C.R.A.A.P test.
2) Open Microsoft word or google docs and title it the section you are working on.
3) Copy and paste the information to Microsoft word or google docs.
4) Copy and paste the URL of the website to Microsoft word or google docs.
5) Do this process for all your sections.
5) Save it to google docs.

The format that you are suppose to follow when researching is:
-Make sure the information you have is reliable ( Find out by using the C.R.A.A.P. Test)
-Copy all the information on the topic you are looking up.
-Be sure you have all the sources where you got the information from.
-Paste the information and sources in the google docs.

Format-

-Copy and paste the address you got the info from under the info
-Continue repeat the format with all your sections

@ Everyone - Remember, you want to find several different sources for each subtopic. This means you will probably have several different paragraphs from different websites for each section/subtopic.

Does this make sense?

I received an email from one student today, and she said that she collected 3 paragraphs of good information for each of her subtopics. She emailed me at about 5:00pm so I imagine that she may be finished at least half of her research for her subtopics.

4- get the URL to say we're you got the information from
5- put in your own words

The format for researching your information:

1) C.R.A.A.P. test the website for reliability.
2) Find information for your sub-topics.
3) Copy and paste your research into a Microsoft word document.
4) Then, copy the URL below the research that you have pasted
5) Repeat for as many sections as you can finish.
6) Upload file to Google Docs once you've finished for the day.

RESEARCH FORMAT
1.) Check website with CRAAP Test.
2.) Locate information on your topic.
3.) Copy and Paste information into a word processor
4.) Find the URL and Copy and Paste it below the information you copied from that Website.
5.) Repeat the process for all the research you have done.

-check the craap test to make sure the site is reliable
-find the information for your listed topics
-copy and paste your research in Microsoft word with the website URL at the bottom of the page
-upload to google docs
