We've been waiting to go back to our family cabin all year. The legendary road trips no one would ever admit enjoying, the campfire nights, each one ending seconds away from your skin burning off. But the best of all, and the main attraction was when my father would stand in the pool the day upon leaving, and chug a gallon of milk in front of our gaping eyes, bulging out of their sockets. We've had this family tradition since as long as anyone could remember, but this year, for the first time in so long, things were different. There was going to be no campfires, nor milk gallon chugging this year. This year, we weren't going to the Cabin, and the was going to be no arguing about it. Because this year, was the year my dad left us, and we all nothing was ever going to be the same again.

"Yuck!" I shrieked as I found myself dipped in a layer of sap. "Where am I?" I thought. For a mere second, my brain shut off and on and I realized where I was. I was in Eversource Crown, home to the evil unknown entities that lurk in the tall, roofed forest. Although they have no name with, I'll just call them demons. I was scavaging to find a light source so I could actually see. In the dim blackness, I could make out a lamp that was abandoned. I picked up the lamp and I was finally able to see... At least 2 meters away from me. I witnessed footprints around the area and curiously followed them. I wasn't scared of demons due to the fact that they only hunt at day. However, I was aware that groups of demons were ordered to hunt at night by a rumored 'king.'

After 17 minutes, the footprints led to an old forsaken village. The footprints continued away from the abandoned village, but I decided to explore the village in hopes to find a map that can lead me out of Eversource Crown, to my home village, Redstone. I first searched the village inn, but the only interesting thing I saw was a leftover book. Out of couriousity, I read the book. The book was hard to read, as it looked like it was rushed in order to escape. The book read: "Dear reader, if you were here unknowingly, please note that the borders of Eversourse Crown were blocked 3 years ago. There were numerous reports of people gone missing and sightings of skeletons near the border of Eversourse Crown. If you were captured by a demon-like entity, try to follow human-like footprints in hopes of finding your way to the border. If you see any footprints with long toes, avoid the area immediately to lower the chances of getting attacked by a demon-like entity. If you see a trail of fire, leave the area as it's believed that those entities leave a trail of fire when chasing their predators. If face to face with a demon, don't try to attack it, as there immortal and can only be damaged by water or ice. Your best option is to outrun the creature."

My heart started beating as if I were trying to outrun a horse. I felt like screaming but held it in, as it might attract red demon's. I stealthily walked with my Lantern, away from the village and into the direction of the footprints. However, it wasn't long until I saw bushes swaying as if someone was in there. Startled, I ran as fast as I could, following the footprints with me. I looked back and I wish I didn't, I saw a red, Ghoul-like entity just 10 feet away from me. I didn't know how, but I managed to run even faster. After 3 minutes of running, I finally had the courage to look back, nothing was there.

Skull's started appearing in my view, some scorched and some covered in moss. I realized that I must be near the border as the book said there were supposed skulls near the border of Eversource Crown. Then I saw it, a tall gate that stood Approsamently 25 meters. I saw a huge rock formation that leads to the top of the gate. Climbing the rock formation, I thought about how I would escape. I looked down to the other side and noticed some ladders that extended about 8/10th of the way down. I figured that the rest of the ladder was missing to prevent visitors from getting inside of Eversource Crown. I took the jump and to my surprise, my leg's didn't hurt at all! I followed the trail and found 2 different other trails. I saw the signs and found Redstonia which was on the right. I felt a weight removed from my shoulder. I ran in joy to my home village. The guards told me that there was a search party going on for you. They asked me where I was and I told them the entire story, from the demon-like entities to how I was covered in sap, to where I found an abandoned village. The guards stepped back a little in surprise. They told me I was the first one who survived. My face automatically made a grin that was unnaturally big.

A few months have passed, Guards from Champion City investigated Eversource Crown and found themselves in a huge battle. Many lives were lost, and some survived to tell their own tale. The battle is still ramming on.

My new nickname is 'Survivor' and my tales are being written all over the world.

All I Saw Was Red

I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. “But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don’t even peek in there.” I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. “By the way who is in that room?” She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red.

I heard one, a father is laying in bed after just waking up, he grabs the baby monitor and walks to his desk in his office at home, he has his baby on the baby monitor and hears his wife singing to her, he cracks a smile as he hears his wife “Go to sleep… go to sleep…” When suddenly the front door opens up and his wife comes in with groceries.

Now I wont sleep tonight after witting those stories...

I was going home and I saw something. A sliver of movement. I followed it. "Happy Birthday!" *confetti everywhere* I got you all scared, didn't I. Well, deal with it. Nevertheless, all this was true. My friends and my family suddenly came out of the woods and scared me really, really bad. I just wanted you to experience it in 4D. Anyways, I live in the woods up in Yukon. We were surrounded by wildlife, so I'm used to those small movements around me if you were wondering why I would do something so reckless as following that and not run away screaming," Ghost!" So yeah, it was my birthday and everyone just had to plan something like that on me. I know, I'm just that popular. Everyone set up lots of tables around and there was even my favourite type of cheese cake! So we had a party and it was a lot of fun. We got to do pin the horse and pinata and stuff like that. But after the party, everyone went home and my family had to clean stuff up (including me). I know right, I had to clean things. But anyways, I was putting everything in the garbage when I noticed a small squirrel. It seemed like just a normal squirrel, but when it opened its mouth, it spoke in a deep and graveled voice,"Come, and you shall be spared." Obviously, I didn't follow it. I did the most sensible thing. "Possessed squirrel! Possessed squirrel! Possessed squirrel!" And I ran way. One day later, everyone died. The end. Of course not, did you really think that would happen? No. I was lying to you this whole time. It's called suspense. I don't even live in Yukon. In the book Just a Dream it starts with a boy named Walter who at first doesn’t care about the environment because he threw a pastry bag on the ground and lazily put all the recycling things and more in the garbage then when watches this show about a boy that went to the future in a tiny plane. After Walter watched that show he got inspired by it. When he went to bed he had dreams about the future, he went through many different dreams about the future and all of them show what would happen if people started not caring about the environment. When he finally woke up he was freaked out about what would happen in the future if people stoped caring about the environment so he went outside and fixed all the bad things he did to harm the environment. So the setting is in his neighbourhood and all the dreams he had about the future.

“Oi’ Rosemary said, handing her twin sister Cassidy her Math notebook, and glasses.
‘Thanks’ replied Cassidy, passing over her English book. Ever since they had discovered they looked virtually the same, Rosemary and Cassidy had decided that it would be fun to switch places for their least favourite classes. While Cassidy loathed english, and loved math, Rosemary adored math, and hated english. It was quite funny how it all worked out. After doing all they could to make sure ‘Rosemary’ and ‘Cassidy’ were all set to go, they looked up to find Terri looking down at them. Terri was the only person they’d told about the whole switching ideal, other than themselves, of course.
‘Let me guess’ she started, ‘Cassidy’ she said pointing at Rosemary, ‘and Rosemary’ she finished, arms crossed and pointing to Cassidy.
‘Hate to break it to ya, but I’m actually Rose’ Rosemary said while trying to stifle laughter
‘Uh, yeah… I knew that’ Terri shot back, obviously embarrassed. Cassidy placed a hand on her friend’s shoulder
‘Well at least we know that unless something crazy happens, we know that our cover won’t be blown’ Cassidy said, nudging Rosemary so they could both flash Terri a huge smile. Terri smiled back, embarrassment forgotten.
‘Also, I heard there’s a sub in math today’ Terri said as she walked with Cas- er… ‘Rosemary’ through the doorway of room 003, and that’s when the crazy happened.

1 step into the room and Cassidy stumbled backwards. Surely that wasn’t her mom, surely she was imagining it. ‘Hey’ Terri whispered, ‘is that your mom?’. Cassidy sighed, and leaned back into her chair
‘I guess so’ she sighed. ‘Oh hang on’ she muttered ‘what if my mom realizes I’m not really Rosie?’
‘Well then I guess you’re pretty dead’ Terri mumbled, earning a glare from her friend. Roll call made Cassidy pretty anxious, and when Cassidy got scared… well…
‘Rosemary?’ her mom called out. Terri landed a swift kick to ‘Rosemary’s ankle.
‘Uh. Yes. Here’ Cassidy replied, instantly regretting the way she’d stammered. Her mother raised an eyebrow, but continued checking the attendance. The rest of the class went pretty smoothly, Cassidy made sure she raised her hand enough, but not too much to blow her cover, as only Cassidy would ever raise her hand every question, and at that time Cassidy was Rosemary. Finally class was over, and Cassidy prepared to bolt. Until
‘Rosemary’ she heard her mother call, as she beckoned in her direction. ‘Oh no’, thought Cassidy, ‘this can’t be good’ she mentally screamed as she walked towards the teacher’s desk. ‘I just wanted to say that I’m really proud of you,’ her mother said smiling, ‘I remember when you had to get me, or your sister to help you with math everyday’. Cassidy ran out of the classroom, a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. Thank goodness her mother didn’t realize.

‘Yeah, Rosemary did so well in math today!’ her mother gushed, while her husband politely smiled and nodded. The real Rosemary and the real Cassidy stood awkwardly in the hallway, biting their lips. ‘Maybe I could sign them both up for a challenge program!’ their mother continued. Crisis (almost) averted.

“Talking is written like this”

6:03 am:
Beautiful shades of red and orange streaked across the sky. ‘Ahh. I love the wonderful sunrise. I always come to sit on the cliff to watch the colours spread across the sky.’ Maya thought as she sat down on a ledge on the side of the aforementioned cliff. The cliff is probably around 11 feet tall and the ledge is a small protruding rock overlooking a glimmering blue lake. ‘What a fantastic start to the day. I wonder if we’ll go fishing or canoeing or maybe-’
“Maya! Where are you? Breakfast is ready!” A voice cut through Maya’s thoughts.
“Coming mom!” Maya shouted back whilst getting up. She ran back through the grassy field in the direction of a log cabin. ‘I’m so excited! It’s always incredibly fun at our summer cabin. I wonder what we’ll do today!’ Maya thought while she darted up the front steps into the cabin. “What’s for breakfast mom?” Maya asked whilst sitting down on a chair at the table.
“Your favourite.” Maya’s mom answered.
“Yes!” Maya exclaimed.

“What are we going to do today?” Maya inquired.
“I was thinking that we could go hiking up to the waterfall.” Maya’s mom replied.
“That’s a great idea! I want to see how the flowers I planted last year are doing.” Maya exclaimed.
“Since you’re so excited to go, why don’t you go and get ready?”

Maya and her mother walked through the grassy field in the direction of a forested mountain to the left of the cliff. They stopped at the start of a small, winding trail. The trail was shadowed by all the enormous trees on either side. “Is it just me or is trail darker than before?” Maya asked no one in particular.
“I’m sure it’s the same. You say that every time anyways.” Maya’s mother offhandedly stated.
“Whatever you say mom.” Maya said skeptically as they started hiking up the trail.

10:22 am:
“Let’s take a break here.” Maya’s mom spoke while sitting down on a large rock beside the stream.
“Alright.” Maya said whilst sipping water from her water bottle.

Maya and her mother continued their hike up the mountain.

“Hey mom. Aren’t the trees getting a little closer? I swear they’re closing up on us.” Maya murmured.
“You’re just being paranoid.” Maya’s mom spoke. “Trees can’t move.”
“I’m not saying that trees can move. Maybe it’s a magic spell or something.”
“Magic doesn’t exist.”
“Are you sure?”
“Sure I’m sure.”

“I’m getting hungry. Why don’t we stop for lunch here?” Maya asked.
“Sure. I wouldn’t turn down a bit to eat.”

Maya and her mother finally made it to the waterfall. It was sunny and the waterfall shimmered. The waterfall goes over the edge of a cliff and provides a breathtaking view down the mountain.
“Hey look! The flowers I planted have already bloomed!” Maya exclaimed.
“They’re really pretty.” Maya’s mother complemented the pink, purple, and blue flowers.
“Yup!” Maya said.
Maya and her mother rested at the waterfall. They talked, laughed, and admired the stunning view, all of their worries forgotten.

1:11 pm:
The clouds suddenly blocked out the sun. Both Maya and her mother looked up to see dark clouds rolling in.
“I checked the weather forecast and there was nothing about rain, let alone a storm.” Maya’s mother said worriedly.
“See. I knew something bad was going to happen.” Maya stated right before it started to pour rain. Thunder boomed and lightning flashed through the sky. All of a sudden the trees shifted and creaked. The branches reached out to grab Maya and her mother. Maya looked up and the last thing she saw was a pair of glowing red eyes... Maya yelped and instantly woke up. ‘Phew. That was just a nightmare.’ Maya thought. Then, her eyes landed on her alarm clock. In blinking red numbers and letters was 11:11 pm.

It was a sunny day today, a girl called Kitty go to recess alone. Kitty was a person that always being bully because of her name and also people think she was so ugly because she had a accident when she was around 4 years old so no one like her. She was always so mind of how people think about her so she always feel so sad.

Today, there was a girl called Kelly,she was a new student and when she saw Kitty is so lonely, she asked ' Can I play with you, you look so sad,what happened?' Kitty was so happy inside her heart because it is the first time that people want to play with her so she said ' Yes,of course '. After that they became friends and they talked,played and they are really happy together.

Suddenly,a ton of girls and boys from her class said ' You little ugly cat, you finally have friends,for the first time in forever'. Kitty is so sad about that after hearing it,she felt like calm because it is the hundreds times that her class mates said about that and she is just like standing here and wanted to go away. They even told Kelly not to be friends with her because she is ugly and all the bad stuff. Kelly asked ' Are you the first time hear people saying that,why are you feeling so calm?' After that , Kitty said that it was not the first time and she doesn't care because she has nothing to do with that. The door bell after she said that and she walked back to classroom with a sad face.

After lunch,it was recess again, Kelly and Kitty went out together. When Kitty saw the people that who are trying to bully her, she told Kelly to run away because she was really scared of them. It is too late, they saw it they said' Hey,ugly cat why are you going away,you don't have to hide,everyone know that you are a ugly little cat, don't hide it,just show your "beautiful face". ' All the people laugh after she said that and her face started getting red and she was so confused what to do.

Suddenly, when the girls who bullied her wanted to walked away , but Kelly said ' Stop' They turned around and Kelly said ' How can you guys be so rude to her, she is just a girl, everyone have their own feeling, she is feeling so sad when you say it to her. Do you ever think of how she feeling, I don't think you have. If you are the one who get bullied, people are laughing at your name and saying bad stuff on you, how do you feel , I don't think you will feel good right ?' They replied ' I didn't say anything bad to her, we are just joking! ' Kelly said again ' Joking? Are you serious? Do you think how she feels, she might think it was not just a joke! '

After that, they both go away and Kitty said ' Thanks so much, you are so brave, I am not even brave enough to do that! ' Kelly said ' I am just doing what a friend suppose to do.' They both smile to each other. And Kitty was thinking that a heavy stone from her heart went away after staying there for many days.

At last, they became really good friends,they both talked,laugh happily and Kitty never heard any bad things anymore and now she felt like an other person, feel more confident than before. They are always sticking together, and seems like a straight line and it will never bend.

Goldilocks and the three bears with a twist.

So it's 2 am in the morning and Goldilocks is deciding to go into the bears house to steal some soup. Last few days, Goldilocks was trying to find a plan of how to get into their house. So she went around the house inspecting if there was any "secret" passage ways but when she saw a pot of soup on the stove with the lid opened she smelled it and it smelled like heaven. After that a few days later, Goldilocks had to get some soup from them so she decided to come up with a plan with her trusty partner Fox. He's sly, he's sneaky, he's the fox.
Goldilocks had a plan and it was to sneak in from the window that baby bear always had open. But the problem was that it was on the second floor so they had to be extra quiet since mama and papa only leave out of the house on Friday and the rest of the days they sleep. But baby bear he loves to explore so he sneaks out of his window and climbs out and in everyday.

Today is Tuesday. Goldilocks and Fox decided to attempt to get the pot of soup today. Fox thinks that they should wait until Friday when they leave but Goldilocks is very tempted to drink that soup. So they tried today but it didn't work. They tried the next day it didn't work so she decided to take Fox's opinion to wait until Friday.

Today is the day they have been waiting for. They are sneaking into their house. Goldilocks got her belt with all her tools and Fox had brought his appetite. They first start climbing into baby bear's room then they went down the stairs and explored around. Surely it was a big house for a family of three. Fox spots the pot on the stove because the scent is so attractive anyone can smell it from far far away. They put the pot into a bag and they left. Goldilocks thought it was weird because the pot was a bit light but she didn't care. Together they ran back home quickly to eat. Once they came home they opened the pot and what they found was only a little bit of soup. But then who cares, at least there is soup! They both took a spoonful of that soup and once they put it in their mouth, they quickly spat it out. It was horrible. It was disgusting. All their hard work was wasted and they really regretted it.

She hid from me each day. And each day forward, I left her a letter that ended up being torn the very next day. The forest was her home, I know. There was no changing it now. She was a werewolf. That’s all she’ll ever be. I remembered how her pale moonlit pelt reflected off of the water. She dipped her paw in, creating ripples around it. I looked at her in awe. Her normal brown shaded eyes had turned into a mysterious shade of a dark blue. As my tongue clicked, her snout faced towards me. Sniffing the air, she came towards me. Her familiar presence was there, yet it wasn’t. She wasn’t the innocent girl I knew anymore. Something about the aura around her told me about her. She lured me in. I’m not going to get out now. Her muzzle touched my now red nose. She understood how I felt. How much I wanted her to stay by my side. But we both knew the distance we had to keep. I soon left, leaving her a last and final note she’ll ever be receiving from me. I placed it near a tree trunk and slowly trudged along. I didn’t want to leave. Twigs crackled, leaving me standing there, clenching my fists and looking down with tears threatening to fall anytime soon. “We can’t. You know that.” Her fur rustled and followed the path of the wind. The tiny strands of fur brushing along my pale wrist. A tiny lick was given, until the presence of the girl I once loved left me, leaving me all alone. The air suddenly felt so cold. The forest seemed like the place I hated most. And I, just didn’t feel like me anymore. The phones that once was used to text each other was left isolated. And as my hands wrinkled, the forest flourished. As my hair turned a shade of gray and slowly into white, my memory had started fading. The times we had together weren’t as explicit as I wanted it to be. The laughs and giggles I cherished so much when we were holding hands. The times when she felt like she was flying when I pushed her so high on the swing. How I so desperately want to feel the same silky fur ander the palm of my hand again, the same goodbye that had left me devastated. Wanting more of being the bubbly person that cheered her up when she was the most discriminated by others. But I knew that, we weren’t meant to be.

Who likes dogs? Well I do and I once had a Pomeranian, but we gave her away to my aunts friend because we were moving and they didn’t allow pets. Anyways, so there is this true story about this dog who would wait for the owner to go home with him everyday at the train station after work. Every time I watch this movie I literally cry so much and I get so emotional. So I’ll be talking a bit about this story.

Alright, so this is about a dog named Hachiko and this is actually a Japanese true story. The owner of the dog and Hachiko are really close. The owners job is a professor. Hachiko would wait at the train station everyday waiting for the owner to get off from work. No matter if it’s snowing, raining he would always wait for him. Since he waits everyday everyone who works around the station would always see Hachiko wait for him and would always watch him. One day something tragic happened. The professor passed away during work. Since Hachiko is a dog and doesn’t know that he passed away he would still wait for him outside everyday thinking when he’s coming back home. Of course he never did and Hachiko would be waiting forever. Even in heavy snow where he’s so cold and no home to live in. Everyone who knew Hachiko tried to tell him that he’s not coming back home and you can leave, but he refused to leave. They fed him some food and cared for him. As days went by Hachiko grew older and older, he waited for 9 years. Eventually, he passed away where he would wait for the owner everyday. Then they made a statue of Hachiko. He was known for his remarkable loyalty to his owner.

Honestly, I find this story very sad and special to me. He has been waiting for him for 9 whole years after his owners death. I mean that’s just sad. I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’m very emotional about this story.

Choral Festival. It was amazing. So for people who are confused right now, the choral festival happens for like a week and many choir groups around the city presents on one of the days. Yesterday, Laurier went and presented at the choral festival.

First, Churchill amazingly presented their choir piece. It was so powerful and beautiful! Then some other schools presented and there was one that had a beautiful soloist. Her whole choir was off tune except her which was kind of sad... Well, then we sing now. Everyone did everything, everything went right. Then a choir with 85 people come up. They do solos with a MIC. The mic is terrible. It ruins their performance. A lot of the harmony parts were sung by people holding mics. It was good but the mic thooooo... Then after another school sings and then everyone comes on stage to sing the mass choir piece. All schools except Churchill come up on the stage (we somehow fit) and sing 2 songs. Before that, the judicator TALKS TOO MUCH. She comes and literally talks about her own stupeeed day that she already babbled to us for like 10 min in the rehearsal already. Then after literally everyone is asleep, we final sing our songs. We finish with out any mistakes (a lot of the others made a lot of mistakes especially the primary choirs even though the judicator already talked to us about it. Then we go home and I sleep and I forget about the PAR. yay im so samrt

The choral festival was amazing but I'm very proud about Laurier's presentation! It was very fun but I'm also kind of sad because it might be our last choral festival. If I could go again I really would like to.
