ABC PHOTOS

Today, students met with their new groups and planned out a schedule to complete their work. It is important that all students stay accountable to their groups so they can move forward together. If you don't do your work, it is challenging for your entire group to discuss what needs to be discussed at your book clubs. DO YOUR BEST! For math, the students continued learning about algebra. In art, they moved forwarding on their ABC Photo assignments. They will try to finish this up by Friday.

At the end of the day, we talked about we are all in or approaching the ownership phase of our learning. Report cards are coming up and we want to show our best quality work and how we learn. I would like you to explain what you will do to end the year off on a high note!

There is only one month left in this school year, and I’d like it to be the best month at school! In class, I will focus more on what’s on hand and not go off topic doing something else. In less than two months, we’ll finish this grade seven year. Everyone should try their best to end their year the way they would like, and that includes me. There are some things I would like to improve on before I move on to the next year. First, I would like to work on time management. When I arrive home, I would always use my device first. That is one thing I would work on, because I should finish my homework and studying first. There are always tests and exams coming up, so I should always do that first. Second, I should try new things before I go to high school. Sometimes, I don’t try new things because of reasons. One reason is ‘It’s boring.’ or ‘I don’t have time.’. But when I actually try, it would turn out better than you thought. Finally, I should try not to be aggressive, because I would be guilty afterwards. From an experience, I learnt that I don’t realize when I am doing something way too hard. These are the three things that I would improve on. In conclusion, by improving, I can have a better end for the school year.

Taylor Swift once said, “This is a new year. A new beginning. And things will change.” Indeed it will. Never have I truly believed that I would make it to high school. But after eight years of elementary school, I feel ready. First, I must end the year off strong. After giving it some thought, I see that to achieve ownership, I can provide myself with more homework, spend less time on screens, and fix my sleeping schedule. To break it down, when I say "I can provide myself with more homework," I'm mostly speaking about VLN. As it is an online course, and the deadlines are not as strict, I do not feel as much of a need to complete things at home, and am therefore less efficient in completing my math. But, by working on it at home, I can both practice math more frequently and complete my work quicker. As I mentioned before, the second thing that I can do is spend less time on screens. I often procrastinate on screens instead of doing homework, which slows me down quite a bit. Last but not least, I feel that I can improve on my sleep schedule. For most people, if you don't sleep well, you can't function as well, myself included. Needless to say, if I get more sleep, I can do my work better. When I think about it, I've never really graduated from anything. So, for my first graduation, I am determined to end the year in the best possible way I can. By giving myself more work, procrastinating less, and sleeping more, I think that I can achieve this.

I am mainly gonna focus on social studies for now because it's the most important out of the 3 since not everyone is gonna speak french plus there is google translate and right now we are relying a lot on electronics so siri, alexa, google is gonna be use a lot in the future. So my main goal is to try to do better in s.s/inquiry but how exactly? one of the things i think of doing is to check the criteria carefully since this is one of the subjects i need to focus on, Try to find more information in it when it come to reading it , to watching a video to websites (that are reliable), and finally to ask for help from a student or a adult. This school year is coming to an end, and all of us have been through our own journeys during our last year of elementary school. We've worked hard, we've learned, we've endured, and ultimately, we hope to end off this year on a high note. Doing well in school takes a lot of diligence and determination, but will assist us in all of life's challenges as well. As our time in elementary school is drawing close to conclusion, there are a few things I'd like to acheive and improve on. To start, I'd like to be more efficient with my studying. Whether this is at school or at home, I will try to concentrate on completing what I need to do first before doing other things. By doing this, it will help me immensely in high school as there will be much less time for me to complete my assignments. In addition, I'll try to eliminate any form of distraction around me. This will allow me to focus on my work rather than getting off task and wasting valuable time. To do this, I will remove anything that will distract me when I'm working, such as unnessecary devices or fidgets that may stop me from finishing my work. To add to this, I can review the appropriate C-Chart and self-regulate my environment if necessary. Finally, I want to be able to complete my work independently by the end of the year. Particularly, being able to take ownership of my learning has greatly affected by ability to be successful in school, both academically and behaviourally. To start off, owning my work can help boost my academic evaluations at the end of this term for multiple reasons. There’s not long left until this school year ends. How could I make the best of it? Well, since report cards are coming up, I want to make some improvements just so I could possibly get a evaluation that I genuinely want. Firstly, the obvious, managing my time, completing my homework before the deadline, I understand that I normally don’t really finish my work on time, yea, I’m aware of that but that’s something that I’d like to improve on. Today is May 24 2022 and we are almost going to graduate elementary school. I am planning to make some improvements before going to High school.

In order to go to high school and have success I need to write everything down in the planner so that I could get my work done at home when my work is almost going to be due.

Secondly I also need to work on managing my time as I had so much trouble as I do my work too early or late. I need to make a schedule of what I will do from time to time. This is how I will improve on managing my time

Finally I should follow the success criteria if I want to reach above and beyond. It's obvious that I will try my best to get full score. This is obviously important for my education purposes and future.

Today is May 24 2022 and we are almost graduating elementary school. I am also planning to make some improvements from elementary before going to high school.

In order to get to high school and have success I need to firstly write everything down in my planner so that I could get my work done at the right time before the due date. This could also be part of my time management.

Secondly I would have to aim on managing my time as I had too much trouble as I always do my work too early or late. If I want to improve on that I would need to make a schedule of what I will do from eg. 10:00-11:00 on math homework.

Finally we obviously needed to follow the success criteria in order to reach extending (above and beyond). In order to reach the success criteria I need to pay more attention to the teachers and not fiddle around with any mini toys. The success criteria is important as my marks would be shown to my future and it's for my educational purposes.

As I said earlier I will improve on writing stuff down in my planners, use my time carefully, and paying close attention to get extending.

In a way, school and cross-country are alike. While school is about academics and cross-country sports, there is one key similarity: endurance. Only those, in both cases, who persevere until the end of the finish line succeeds and gets their goal accomplished, whether it is achieving good grades or crossing the finish line first. As the school year is slowly winding down to an end, it is my job to finish of strong and to end the year well with good grades. To start with, I will make sure that I take full ownership of my learning. By following the success criteria, trying hard, and asking my peers for feedback about my work, I will make sure that my work will come out the best way possible. Moreover, I will try to self-regulate my behavior as much as possible. Sometimes, I find that I talk loudly and can disrupt both myself and my classmates who are working. In a way, school and cross-country are very alike. While school may be about academics and cross-country sports, there is one key similarity: endurance. Only the people, in both situations, who persevere until the very end succeed and accomplish their goal, whether it is achieving good final grades or crossing the finish line first in a running race. As the school year is slowly winding down to an end, it is my job to finish strong and to end my year well with a good final report card. To start with, I will make sure that I take full ownership of my learning. By following the success criteria, trying hard, and asking my peers for feedback to improve on my work, I will make sure that my assignments and projects will come out the best way possible. Moreover, I will try to self-regulate my behavior better. Today is May 24th, 2022, and there is only 1 month of school left, exciting right? In some ways yes and in some ways no. The good thing is that we get 2 months of rest, but the not-so-great things are going into Churchill and getting my report card. Let's talk about getting report cards for now. It is the end of the year, I haven't been doing my PAR as often lately, and I didn't finish my past novel approach booklet because of Mexico. All of that is going on my report card, and of course my parents aren't going to be glad that I got a bad mark on some things. So here are some things I could do for the last month of school. First, do my work on time. Getting a bad mark on a project is at least better than getting no marks. I usually procrastinate and do not take ownership when I forget to do homework. Secondly, SOAR more. Recently there has been a thing called "we are not even" where someone slaps you on the back then you say we are not even, so you slap them back harder. I had been a part of it, I can confess. Finally, control my temper. I have been shouting sometimes at school these days either because of something or someone triggering me in a way others don't see it so serious, but I do. I will try to work on that more. These are the things I think for myself I need to work on, I hope I can work on these things as much as I can for a good report card.

Firstly, I will try to complete all my PAR's and give peer feedback, do self-assessment's, and make revision. Secondly, I will complete all my work on time, and study more on test. You may know that the last year of grade 7 for us is just around the corner and Summer is almost here but do you know how important it is to have good academic achievements and regulation? Well, although you may think that slacking on bringing your homework on time and finishing on time wouldn’t matter since it is almost the end of the year. But no, you shouldn’t, we get it ‘Summer break’ is coming soon and you just want to make plans with your friends. Personally, I am also going to do stuff with my friends but I am still wanting to show that I have improved on the things I didn’t do so well on last year. How am I able to do that? Whenever I get home I always check my notifications first before doing homework. This is something I would like to work on because I feel as if it gives me less time to hand in better quality work. Some other thing I can work on n a reasonable amount of time before high school is making sure I won’t have anything in sight that could distract me from the lesson. Generally speaking, I don’t normally get distracted but if I’m being honest sometimes I don’t get a good sleep and I’m not able to pay attention because I’m practically half asleep. I know I have mentioned this in a PAR in the past but I would still like to work better and better on bringing my stuff home. I think I have gotten better and I don’t usually forget things now since I got a binder one or two months ago. Personally, I think the binders are very useful they let you carry whatever you need around. Yes, your binder can get heavy due to all the papers you put in there but it’s really helpful since you know you won’t forget anything. There is so much more I think it is for me to work on and I’m so close to achieving what I would like to in school. So, in conclusion, this is how I would like to end my grade 7 year off.

Our final year of elementary school is coming to an end, and with high school starting in a few months, it's crucial to end the year off strong. With the summer break closing in, it's important to endure till the very end, as this is the time when teachers will be writing report cards. Here are some of the things I will do to end the year off strong. First of all, being able to stay on task and focus for a long time will be a huge improvement for me. To achieve this, I can avoid distractions like when other people talk to me and remind myself of what I'm supposed to do at the time. To help, I can remind myself of the deadline of the task that I'm supposed to do so I can stay on task. Secondly, I would like to take ownership of my learning and try my best for every assignment. In the end, it's not the yearsi n your life that count. it's the life in your years a quote from Abraham Lincoln. About 10 months ago, it was our first year as grade sevens we have been constasltly preparing to get best mark as possioble on our final report cards. Before saying anything else do you have any goal that you want to reach before summer break or before we get our report card? You should, because that is what I'm going to talk about! To be honest, I didn't do well in grade 6, i was getting bad anxitey about little things and that caused getting bad marks. This year, I have improved so much and also took all my anxitey away and started to focus on my life and my studies, and it did help i was improving so much that I thought i was in heaven. Firstly, I would like to improve on my math, I went downhill a little bit, but on my upcoming tests i want to good and maybe reach my goal. In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years a quote from Abraham Lincoln. About 10 months ago, it was our first year as grade seven and we have been constantly preparing to get the best mark possible on our final report cards. Before saying anything else, do you have any goal that you want to reach before summer break or before we get our report card? You should because that is what I am going to talk about! To be honest, I did not do well in grade 6, I was getting bad anxiety about little things and that caused me to get bad marks. This year, I have improved so much and took all my anxiety away and started to focus on my life and my studies, and it did help I was improving so much that I thought I was in heaven. Firstly, I would like to improve on my math, I went downhill a little bit, but on my upcoming tests I want to be good and reach my goal. Secondly, I want to improve my writing. When I mean writing I want to make less grammar mistakes and use better vocabulary. Thirdly, I want to improve on science. "New year, new me!" This is probably a quote you hear every single year in the new year. But, sometimes we forget that a new school year comes around in September, and it's important to prepare for that. This coming September, Div. 1 will be transitioning to high school. It's important for us to end the year off strong, so we can do well in the coming years. So, what are some things I can do to end off strong? Firstly, I can make sure that I'm fully utilizing my planner. While I do write in it, I'm not always checking. Therefore, it's harder for me to remember things and I can end up forgetting, which isn't going to be great for me. Secondly, I'll spend less time on my phone because I notice that it takes up so much time. I always end up procrastinating and not finishing on time or having to rush, so I think creating good habits will be great to end the year off strong. Finally, I think that I can remember to always ask for help. Sometimes, I can just brush it off instead of fully understanding the material, so making sure that I am able to understand and monitor my comprehension will be the perfect way to finish it all off well. In conclusion, I believe that if I take these few steps and work hard, I will be able to finish the year off strong and have good habits to help me easily start the new school year.

In 26 more school days, it will be the last time we go to elementary school for the rest of our life. Which means we must set a goal to achieve before we graduate to high school. First, I would want to improve my writing skills and follow the essay structure when I write. This will help a lot because in high school and further on you must write a tons of essays. Second, I should also improve on self-regulating regularly, I already improve on it a lot more this week compare to the last few weeks, but I think I could be better. Last but not least, I will participate in more clubs, because in high school, there will be a lot of clubs to join and it will be a lot of fun. I hope I could have a wonderful high school experience.
