PARK AND BBQ DAY TOMORROW!

I MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY!

Tomorrow, we will walk over to Oak Park for a day of fun and a bbq. Mr. Fisher and I will supply all the food, snacks, and drinks so you do not need to bring any food/lunch. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, gluten free buns, chips, juice boxes, etc. What you will need to bring is water, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, frisbee, basketball, or anything else to play with. If you have any questions, post them here.

IMPORTANT: If you have any novels, textbooks, or picture books at your home, please return them TOMORROW! Especially the Novel Approach books. Double check your room!

If you would like to give a speech at the Gr. 7 Celebration on Wednesday, please let me know by posting a message here or by emailing me.
Ideally, we want 3 groups of students to give speeches from our class. Mr. Fisher's class will have 3 groups as well.
Talk to your friends and let me know what your groups will be.

Try not using the word, "DUH" when speaking to people. It isn't very polite. ;-)

@ Jessica - It is rather impolite when speaking to adults. When you speak to your friends, it probably depends on the situation and how well you know someone. You wouldn't use that word with someone you don't know very well. They would likely be offended by the word.

These are my last few days of elementary school. One memory from my past elementary years is learning a song written by Kaya (a boy from Dickens who went on to high school) on the marimbas in grade five. I loved playing the marimbas and I honestly really miss them. It was really fun to learn with everyone. My peers really helped me to learn and catch on to playing the marimbas quite quickly. I miss my music teacher, Paul who also did a lot for me, and everyone else in the Dickens community. One memory I obviously have from this year is going to camp. It was honestly an overall amazing experience. I got to do one of my favourite things which is stand up paddle boarding! Overall, I have made some amazing and not so amazing memories in my eight years of going to Dickens Annex, Dickens, and now Laurier. In high school I'm looking forward to all of the new opportunities that I'll have to do many new things. All in all, I'm going to miss elementary while at the same time I probably won't miss it too much.

My best memories from this school year would probably be how muched ive inproved this year with self regulation and moments with friends. My moments with friends make me feel important and they dont make me feel alone. It reminds me that friends are here for eachother and there like a second family. The way ive improved this year with self regulation is all because of Mr.Hong. Hes been the best teacher ive ever had and without him i wouldnt be so self regulated and i might not have got through grade 7 without him. Thank you Mr.Hong and friends for being there!

The moments that i will never forget is Mr.Hong singing on the guitar saying that learning never stops. That would haunt my dreams but its true. I would also never forget camp because ive been there last year and it was fun but this year was better because i actually knew everyone unlike last year. I would never forget the self regulation strategies and i would never forget the new things ive learned from him.

Lets see. For the future i might try to be a motorcross rider. You might be supprised but my dad was an expert at motorcross riding. He has scars from crashing but he never did it for the trophies he did it for fun and when i was younger i didnt believe him but now i do. He influenced me to be a motorcross rider because he tells me all his stories and he dares me 500 bucks to be a motorcross rider so ill do it for the 500. He was such rebelle.

My most memorable memory from the past which was only 3 days ago is going camping. That was super fun. I loved it a lot since we got to just like chill out and play lots of games which was fun. Not only that, but we also got to kayak which was my first time Kayaking and it was really fun since we got to splash each other.
My future more like a dream is to be a Youtuber or Live Twitch Streamer if you guys know what that is since I want to become better than Ninja at Fortnite and be a professional gamer.

It feels weird to have less than a week of elementary school left. But I know that I’ll take a lot of memories with me. Memories from the past, of how I met my friends, and how I first learned how to play all the instruments in music. And memories from now, when I am the highest grade in the school. I am especially sure that my memories of camp Latona will always stick with me. I hope to make even more memories next year. And not just memories, I want to make new friends too. I know that I’ll miss elementary school, but I hope that I’ll make many more memories High school.

I’ve had many different memorable moments in school, however there was one that stood out to me the most. When I was a lot younger, I started to do rainbow loom because I saw other people at school doing it and it looked interesting. At first I could only make the most basic things, like a fishtail bracelet and a cherry. Then, I started to make more difficult and advanced things, like the 3D dragon. I gave some of the charms that I made to my friends and I showed them the 3D dragon.

In this school year, some of the most memorable moments of my life were made in camp. At camp, we got to spend more time with our friends and classmates that we might not see in high school. We had lots of fun and hilarious moments together. One of my favourite moments was when I saw three orcas swimming in the ocean. I stopped to watch them for a while. It was really cool because they usually don’t hang around and they don’t come that close to the camp.

In the future I want to possibly be an author because I have a lot of ideas for chapter stories and they are fun to write. In addition, I don’t want to let all of my ideas go to waste because I forgot all of them. I like writing stories of my own creation and having other people read them.

The Secret Santa gift exchange we did was really memorable. I'm not sure how many people still remember that, but it was really memorable for me. I enjoyed how we each got someone to gift and used our knowledge about them to give something they might like. It was fun to see the reactions of the people opening their gifts.

Camp Latona was also really fun and a great opportunity to make many memories. Seeing wild orcas was such a great experience. They were pretty close too. We were actually closer than the whale watchers. I will never forget that once in a life time opportunity.

After summer, school will be starting and our first day of high school begins. I’m hoping that it’ll go smoothly and I will be able to make at least new friend after the first week. I’m hoping that some of my friends will be in some of my classes. Hopefully I’ll be able to survive high school.

It’s really hard to believe that there’s only 3 more days of school left until the end of elementary school for all of us. Some people in our class still act like kids! *cough cough* having to say the most memorable parts in school is really hard, because there’s always this one thing that stands out each day. But I’ll try.

The most memorable thing out of school is of course, knowing BTS. My friend Bridget (you may know her already) told me about them and kept showing me pictures after school at spare time last year. (Probably around April or May) Of course I got annoyed, but as a week had gone by, I had found songs I really liked. And I was sucked into the fandom. This really did change my life because I’m a lot happier and hyper than before. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not, but they really do bring the inner fangirl side out of me. (That I never knew I had)

The most Memorable grade 7 moment of all time is just talking to my friends in general. I’m glad they actually survived a year with me alongside them. I’m really grateful to have such great friends and I hope that we could stay together for ever and ever~ this is super cheesy, and you know what I mean. There are so many other moments but this sticks out to me the most.

In the future, I’m not sure what I’ll do. I don’t really have a job I’m aiming to get, but I’m hoping that I’ll just stay happy together with my friends forever. They really make me a happy camper! I love being with them. (And let’s just say, I’m also aiming for a BTS concert ;) it’s pretty much like a war though to get the tickets woop)

When the new school term starts in September, I hope that we won’t forget each other and remember all of th great things we experienced TOGETHER as grade 7 pals. Thank you for such an amazing school year! Aim for higher goals and never stop dreaming. Peace out~
