ABC COLLAGE

Tomorrow is sports day! Don't forget to wear your team colours, paint your faces, colour your hair, or anything else you think would help your team stay energized tomorrow! If the weather holds, don't forget to bring plenty of fluids, appropriate clothing, hats, and sunscreen. It is easy to become dehydrated in this weather and also to get sun/heat stroke.

1.) NOVEL APPROACH:

Continue working on your powerful response. Your first completed draft is due on Tuesday.
More information will be posted tomorrow.

2.) POST A RESPONSE:

Write out your team's cheer and then mention how you will perform it.
This will help you visualize how your cheer will look and sound like tomorrow.
Be specific and explain the type of movements, gestures, sounds, and lines you will be performing during your cheer!
Someone who reads your post should be able to visualize what your cheer will look, sound, and feel like when they

You’ll be blue after we beat you, (making the sad gesture)
Don’t be salty (salt bay) ‘cuz you know it’s true (pointing)
We dab on them haters (dabs), we’re genius educators (whips)
Get in formation, (gets into 2 lines) ‘cuz blue runs the nation (salutes)
We’re cool, we’re hot (hair flip)
We’re everything you’re not (Tasia is walking in the spread apart two lines and does a cat walk+hair flip)
We’re chill, we’re great, (Nane)
Your skills are out of date (looks at watch and taps on it)
We’re not being mean, we’re just the best team
Yellow, green, red, you’re toast just like bread (does a cross with the arm)
Why doesn’t you just quit instead
Hey, hey, get out of the way, (swipes with hands to the right) here at Sports Day we’ll blow you away (hip hip hooray thing)

You all saw our cheer, and no doubt you have the words stuck in your head or have at least seen them above. Our cheer includes dabbing, roasts, and lots of other things that are super cringy. As a trend cop I feel like everyone in my group should be arrested. But at the same time I know people will love it, so I'm not complaining. Really. We also want to have some silly string and a confetti gun if possible, but I won't have time to get one. So if anyone else can I won't object.

We're Cheetos, flamin’ hot Cheetos
We crush the competition like they’re tiny mosquitoes
(We stomp our feet on “mosquitoes”)
We're fearless, we’re strong, we’re never ever wrong,
(Every other person crosses their arms on “fearless”. All of the other people move on “strong”. Then everyone makes an x with their arms and stomps their feet.)
Help us, cheer us on, the top's where we belong
(We turn and run across horizontally and we turn around again so the V is flipped around.)

We can cheer, we can sing.
(Emily says “We can” and everyone else says the rest of it.)
We're really good at everything.
(Emily and Miikka do a cartwheel/aerial in front of us)
Sports Day, well, we've got this in the bag
(Sofia and Hana mime putting Sports Day in a bag)
The other teams will wave their white flags
(We invert the V, so we are standing like a pyramid)

Blue, you’re melting, because we’re on fire
(We jump on “Blue” and we wave our arms in the air like fire on “fire”)
Yellow, you won't get the gold you desire
(We shake our heads. Then we hold out one finger on “gold” then we push away with our right hand)
Green, you'll be crying by the end of the day
(We mime crying and then we crouch down)
Now we'll stop roasting you, there's nothing more to say
(We do a hair flip and we stand up and shrug)

(Four people are runners and the run up to the crowd saying things like “Vote for us” and “Go red” they also use things like silly string to shoot/throw at the crowd. Three people stand to make a ‘wall’. The rest of us stand behind the wall.)
If you vote for us, we'll walk the red carpet of fame,
The other teams will be stuck behind a wall of shame
This has taken up enough of your time
(The runners come back and crouch down in front of the wall. The people in the wall crouch down.)
That's the end of our sports day rhyme
(Everyone does jazz hands or dabs)

(We swipe an arm diagonally in front of us as if we’re pushing someone out of the way)
‘Get out of our way! Here at sports day-’
(We all put our hands into the middle)
‘We’ll blow you away!’
(Everyone throws their hands out as if it’s an explosion)

(Count to three on our fingers)
‘You’re toast-’
(We make an X with our arms and bring it down sharply)
