Radius, diamter.......dab! CIRCUMFERENCE DANCE!

1.) SCIENCE: Hubble Telescope handout and questions (2 sided handout). Answer in full and complete sentences or you will have to redo it.

2.) PARENTS: Please sign planners to confirm you are checking the website, FreshGrade, and their planners.

3.) ART: Bring a shirt that you can use for painting projects at school. One that you don't care about and are willing to throw away.

4.) POST A RESPONSE:

Chance asked an excellent question in class today. He said, what would happen to the Earth if it stopped spinning on its axis?
To explain his question, we did a demo in class with the globe and Chance was the sun. Using arrows ( --> ) explain what would happen if the Earth was to stop spinning on its axis. Include at least 5 things that would happen as a result of this.
For example:

If Earth stopped spinning on its axis --> half of the Earth would never see sun ---> ......

Ask two students questions about their work and give them one suggestion each.
Edit/revise your original flowchart.

If the Earth stopped spinning--》6 months would be light and 6 months would be dark.--》in my opinion that would make the world end because all people might die if it was dark because there would be no way to grow plants. That's all I've got. Bye.

If the earth stopped spinning...
One half of the woulrld would die off quickly because the side with no sun can grow any plants,--> it will get colder,--> and most nocturnal animals will be off schedule.
The other side will be to hot,--> All the people will be off schedule for sleep.--> everyone will die off quickly...

Connection: I have a friend named Hotty and his house was like 100 fahrenheit.
2.) Half of the would would not be able to grow crops because lack of sun.
3.) 1 day would be like 1 year.
4.) The no sun side would be chilling with penguins.
5.) There might be a new spices of ice animals if they realized there was ice on the other side of Earth.
6.) Extinct creatures might unfreeze from the sun and we will have Mammoths instead of Elephants! :D That's like if. 2% chance.

This is what I think will happen --> day on one side night on the other--> then it will be harder to sleep on one side while is easy and you whould no be able to tell the time--> then plants will die cause it's always day and always night so the plants will die and no plants = no air which = dead

If the earth stopped spinning : --> They're would be night on one side.It would start to get cold and at one point frozen.-->The other side will be day time and it will start to get hot and hotter . Eventually people will start to get skin cancer because of the heat.-->People will eventually die--> The population of the world will lower--> Time will be different forever.

If the earth stopped spinning on its axis
1)It would take the sun 365 days to get back on the same spot,
so half of Earth will get roasted. XD
2)The part of Earth that the sun is facing will be no more,
(Burn,Baby,Burn)
and on the other side it is pure darkness.
(hello darkness my old friend)
3)There will be no more seasons if Earth stopped spinning.
4)Nothing attached to bedrock will flow off to the atmosphere.
5)Earth will become more like a sphere like.

If earth stopped spinning on the axis humanity or life on earth would be impossible because
1) The spinning of the earth creates our magnetosphere which keeps solar flares and huge beating from the sun under control.
2) A huge mega thing would be created from mexico to the middle of the pacific ocean.
3) The earth would lose air everywhere but 25% of the new thing.
4) Canda and the Europe would be GONE underwater so yea. BAD!
5) 325 days a day would be how a new day would work and 325 days of night.
This would be VERY VERY BAD!
If you want I will explain more in class tomorrow since I watched SO MANY DOCUMENTRYS on this type of stuff!! :D

One suggestion de of the earth will be dark-->the other side of earth will be lightened by the sun-->on side will over heat-->the other side will be too cold-->one side will die from coldness-->one will die from hotness.

5 things that will happen

1.One side will be dark or there will be light forever.

2.One will be hot or cold

3.It would make it harder to grow crops/food

4.One will be bight and day forever

5.The earth will be way different then it usual was

If the earth stopped rotating on its axis, other half of the earth will be dark while the other side will be bright. If that happens, plants and other living things (including us humans) will eventually die. Without sunlight, the plants will die. With too much sunlight, I guess we're gonna get some sunburn... and it'll be too hot especially in summer. It also affects our time and it'll not be the same as before. Smh. I think it's better if this kind of thing never happens.. Lol.
